Life is Breezy at the Big Easy! Your dream Lake Michigan getaway is here on Louisiana Ave! Guests enjoy complete self check-in with keypad on the front door!

Just Steps to the Sands of Lake Michigan! This large beautiful cottage has the vintage charm of a lake house with updates to make your stay more comfortable. What makes this house stand out? It has an incredible open living-dining area that allows ALL guests to gather all in the same space! It also has another TV/play area in the basement when you want some time away from the kids.

Sleeps 18 total in beds. Perfect for multiple families. 2 Master Suites! Upstairs master has a king bed, en suite bathroom, private screened deck, and is secluded from other upstairs rooms. 1st floor master has a king bed and its own private bathroom. 6 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms total. One of the bathrooms has a tub. Checkout the diagrams in the picture section to see how the house is laid out. Kitchen is stocked with pots, pans, plates, etc. Full size foldable crib is available. Lake Michigan views from 2nd floor! Basement with a queen bed, 2 twin beds, bathroom and an extra entry from outside to brush all the sand off in the mudroom. Enjoy the back deck under the shade trees while grilling out on the large gas grill. Whole house WiFi system with Roku’s on all TV’s. Parking for 4 - 5 cars (depending on size). Additional public parking around neighborhood (if available).

Walk to Washington Park Zoo, Splash Pad, and Playground. Watch the glorious sunsets while enjoying entertainment at Sunset Grill and walk the catwalk to the Michigan City Lighthouse.

Interested in exploring beyond? Centrally located to SO many attractions! Take a hike along Mt Baldy, visit Central Beach and America's newest National Park, Indiana Dunes. Only 15 minutes to New Buffalo and Harbor Country. Visit Warren Dunes or take a family friendly day trip to St Joe, Michigan. Be sure to take a picture of the Michigan City Lighthouses twin at Tiscornia Park! Wine country is less than 45 minutes away in Baroda (Tabor Hill and Round Barn to name a couple), but Michigan City also features Shady Creek Winery and multiple breweries!

Great location, so close to the beach. Great amount of space indoors, but not much outdoor space. Some issues with garbage pick up and lighting on the decks. Loved the path to the beach.

Absolutely GREAT!!!

Plenty of room for our family. The people who rent this are fantastic! This is our third straight year to come here and we will do it again next year. I cannot stress enough how wonderful this place is …so close to the beach, plenty of room, two large tables to eat at, plenty of sofas and chairs… everything is just fantastic!

Location. Location. Location!

When you're carrying beach chairs/lunch & children nothing beats this lovely home that is LITERALLY steps from the beach. We have a large family. This house was terrific.

Our family had a great time! We had a large group-8 adults, 9 kids…plenty of beds and bathrooms for everyone. Cannot beat the short distance to the beach! Kitchen is very small, but we made it work. We could have definitely used a second refrigerator, maybe in the basement for drinks to take to the beach. House was well-stocked, layout is kind of odd, but no complaints. We had a great time!

Great little neighborhood, Not too much yard space but you're right next to a beautiful beach. Plenty of room for dining and relaxing. Casual house perfect for family.

Family reunion beach stay

Such a fantastic home to spend the holiday with 3 generations of family. Andy and Amy are the most lovely people to share their dream beach home with others. House is even better in person than any picture could show.

Nice large house in a great location

Comfortable, casual house just half a block from the beach. Place was just as described and host was easy to work with (although not always timely in responses). Definitely recommend.

Fourth of July fun!

Our whole family stayed here for the Fourth of July weekend and had a wonderful stay. The common spaces were perfect for game playing, but still enough room for everyone to sit comfortably. The proximity to the beach was great and we all appreciated not having to fight traffic and find parking. Would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful home and close to the beac!

We loved his home. There was enough space for everyone to have their own space at any point if the day. The home was very nice and right next to the beach. We loved everything about it!

Great Space for Family Vacation!

This home was perfect for a large family group. Our family got together for some summer time together. The location right at the beach was wonderful, it was a very easy walk to the water each day. The basement was stocked with beach towels and chairs and everything you could need. The rooms provide a lot of sleeping space for a large group. The large dining tables assured everyone had a seat. Overall we had a wonderful time, definitely going to ear mark this location for future trips!

Wonderful family trip!

The house met our needs very well...lots of bedrooms and bathrooms. The crib was great to have! The kitchen is not very big, and we had 11 people but we made do. Very easy access to the beach...a 2 minute walk! We loved the screened porch at night!

We had an absolutely amazing stay with my big family. We ranged in age from 1-68 and everyone had a comfortable bed and no problem finding a bathroom near every bedroom. The kitchen was stocked with dishes, pots and pans and any other kitchen item you might need. There is an easy walk to the beach and a walkway that made pulling a wagon and pushing a stroller easy. The beach is gorgeous. I definitely recommend this beautiful home that easily accommodates 18 people.

Wonderful location!

The property was located so close to the beach! We loved that! It's a little older than what it appears in the photos, but it fit our family well and everyone enjoyed it. The kitchen is small. The basement bathroom was buggy. Overall, though we enjoyed our stay!!

Great location, close to beach, clean, easy check in. Family had a great time!

Overall everything was great. Plenty of room for the whole family. Everything we needed was available in the home. Walk to the beach was easy & close. Hard time with internet, kept having to reset router daily. Very limited cell service.

Great for a group!

Perfect location and property for a large group. House has plenty of space for people to sleep. Great first floor great room. Steps to the beach. Only negative was Kitchen is very small which made for tight cooking for a group. Great outdoor screened in patio off upstairs master. We called it the VIP lounge: Perfect for after dinner lounging!!!

Family Beach Weekend

I stayed here with my siblings, their spouses and our 13 children. This house was perfect-it was SO close to the beach…literally a 2 minute walk to the sand and another 3 minutes to get to the waterfront. The mudroom was perfect to dump all the towels, chairs, sand toys and keep the rest of the house clean. The dining area has 3 tables so plenty of space to sit and eat. Lots of bedrooms and bathrooms making it ideal for a large group so everyone had their own space. The neighborhood was cute, clean and safe.

Great location and house for a large group!

This was a great house for a family get together of 16 people! The location is great - quick and easy access (really couldn't be any closer) to a beautiful Lake Michigan beach. Cute neighborhood and friendly neighbors. The kitchen is small and the bathrooms could use to be updated but nothing that impacted our stay negatively. We had 7 adults and 9 kids ranging from 1-16 and there were plenty of beds and easy sleeping space. Owner/Property manager was very responsive and easy to work with. We would rent this house again!

Absolutely fantastic!!!

This house was great! We had 18 in our group…8 adults and 10 grandchildren ranging from 1 to 16. Plenty of room for everyone. Plenty of beds. The beach is just a very convenient short walk to the beach and no steps!!! We absolutely loved our week and already have booked for next year. Cari, the property manager, was easy to work with and very attentive to our needs. If I could I would give it 10 stars!!! Highly recommend.

Family vacation

This is our second straihjt years for staying at this location. It is so ideal for our family. We have eight adults and 10 grandchildren and the house is very comfortable with plenty of room to play games, eat, sleep, relax, etc. it meets all of our needs, and then sell! The closeness of the beach is a big selling point. It is about a 100 yard walk to the beach, which makes it very convenient for the parents to bring home their children for lunch, restroom breaks, naps, etc. plenty of room on the beach for our family of 18. The owner is very easy to work with and always returns emails, phone calls, etc. immediately. A big thumbs up from the Webber Family and we would give it 10 stars but we’re limited to only five!!!

Andy & Amy purchased this house because of it's great location and how close it is to their family here in Indiana. Andy grew up in Chesterton. Andy & Amy enjoy spending time here with their daughter, dog and extended family from around the region.
