Slack Tide Cottage

Slack tide comes when tidal water is completely unstressed, when the tide is neither coming in nor going out. For this lovely two bedroom cottage, presented by Real Escapes Properties and located at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac being unstressed is the proper state of mind. Few cars are passing by yet you are close to the village, can walk to restaurants and walk to the beach. What can be better than time at the beach and then a short walk back to an enclosed outside shower to leave the sand and spray with a comfortable warm shower. Bring your dog too and shower him off in a space large enough for a small party. The back yard is fully enclosed so young children and your pets will not be wandering into the neighborhood.

Slack Tide Cottage can be enjoyed on the front porch with four rocking chairs and two small tables for your hors d’oeuvres and a cool drink of your choice. Surely as the sun goes down there is no stress as you quietly plan the rest of your evening rocking without a care. Will it be a quiet evening in with something from the backyard grill or a satisfying walk to a meal nearby?

Enter into the spacious den and dining area with ceiling fan, flat screen TV and ample seating. The dining room has a table for four just off of the kitchen. This cottage has been nicely upgraded and you will find everything you need in the kitchen - Keurig coffee maker, microwave, toaster, blender, pots/pans, and the list goes on!

Just down the hall, you will find a roomy bathroom with a double vanity on your left and on your right, the entrance to the large Master Bedroom with a King size bed, writing area, ceiling fan and TV. The full size laundry room with a side by side washer and dryer is located just off of the Master Bedroom. Across the hall from the Master, is a slightly smaller bedroom with a Queen-sized bed, ceiling fan and beautiful new linens.

If you read newspapers on-line or keep up with your favorite team the Wi-Fi is robust and available. Log-on to your email provider and tell your friends how peaceful an island of maybe 15,000 full time residents can be. Do you play golf? There is no end of possibilities to play on the many courses throughout the Golden Isles. There is even a PGA event on Saint Simons every year, the RSM Classic, played in November. Come and see your favorite players up close in a tournament hosted by Davis Love III.

• Dogs are allowed with an additional fee of $100 per pet (no cats). Limit 3.

Minimum age to rent is 25. This applies to all guests with the exception of multi-generational families.

• Linens (Bath towels and bed sheets) are provided along with a Starter Supply of Toilet Paper, Soap, Paper Towels and Trash Bags. Any additional supplies needed during tenancy will be the responsibility of the guest.
• Beach towels and beach chairs ARE provided with this property.
