The Reserve at Sugar Mountain is the best and most scenic mountain resort in western North Carolina. From the balcony, enjoy the natural beauty and the soul-satisfying views of the Blue Ridge Mountains and Linville Valley. Enjoy the view from the top of the world! This two bedroom, two bath deluxe condominium is perched high above it all at the top of Sugar Mountain and offers stunning long range views. It is also very close to the slopes - walk about 50 feet and you are there! When not skiing in winter or enjoying the cool summer breezes at more than 5,000 elevation you will enjoy interior comforts such as WiFi, gourmet kitchen, and spacious living and dining areas.

What's nearby:
Sugar Mountain Resort is just moments away from this condo, where you'll find an outdoor skating rink, snow tubing, mountain bike tours and a full golf course. There are plenty of restaurants close by, including Reid's Cafe and Elevations Restaurant. Sightseeing is plentiful in this area as well, such as the Foggy Mountain Gem Mine, Mile High Swinging Bridge and Grandfather State Park.

This was a nice property but could use some improvements. There were some hairs on the bathroom counter upon arrival and the toilet paper holder was broken. It also needs some cosmetic updates. Amazing location! We were able to walk right onto the ski slopes.

Staying at the Reserve in 36D

This was a great condo to stay at. it was clean, modern, well equipped, has a fantastic view and very comfortable. The living room was a great place to relax and the bed in the Master Bedroom slept great(we did not use the 2nd bedroom). It was a very nice visit and great condo to stay at.

So Beautiful!

The views were even better than the photos, unit was clean and so easy to get to the slopes. It's located on the top of the mountain, you just follow a short trail and are at the summit for Sugar Mountain Resort. Apple/ Google Maps will steer you wrong so make sure to follow the instructions that the owner gives you to get to the property. Overall, it was incredibly beautiful and I can't wait to stay again.

Nice place but....

The condo was absolutely beautiful with an amazing view and was easy to find up on top of the mountain. The problem we had is when we turned on the water in both of the showers bugs came out. I reached out to Vacasa who finally sent me a message 12 days (yes days) after my initial inquiry. VERY disappointed with the management company.

Almost Perfect

We enjoyed our stay at The Reserve, from the moment we walked in, we felt the condo was very luxurious. Unfortunately, our whole family agreed, that feeling was immediately taken away when it was time for bed. The pillows are flat pancakes, we ended up finding other pancakes in the closest and double stuffing the pillowcases (couldn't find extra linens). The sheets feel cheap and scratchy as well. We feel that a small investment in high quality linens and new pillows could bring this beautiful condo to its full potential. Some maintenance to the porch furniture is needed but didn't limit our ability to enjoy the breath taking view. All in all, we enjoyed our stay, and likely stay again.

Sadly disappointed

When first viewing property, was led to believe the unit was level with parking lot. Not true--two flights of stairs for dragging luggage to unit and back out again when leaving. Several things in the unit did not work, a list was left for housekeeping to deal.

Definitely overpriced

Location is great, condo is as pictured with the exception of couple of moldy spots in the shower. 2 out of the 3 nights it was extremely windy outside and there are huge gaps in sliding glass doors, it was cold and so loud! The wind was just howling. I made a video of just how loud it was. Very hard to sleep for light sleepers like me. Fireplace did not work. We reached out to management & they did agree to help, however it was hard to coordinate as we were out most of the day. To think that we paid $700 a night with all the fees for 2 sleepless nights is sad. I ended up napping at our friends cabin.

5100 ft above and complete perfection

Roads were clean even with the unexpected snow. The atmosphere at these stays are always what we look for; quiet, peaceful, stunning views, and super clean. Our 2nd time staying in these apartments and they never fail to please us. Thank you!

Top of Sugar

The best views of Grandfather Mountain from the back porch. Very comfortable condo with everything you need for your stay. The trip to the top is an adventure but the end result is well worth it.
