Sobre esta propriedade

SURFING SEA TURTLE, pool, gulf view, short walk to the beach, Golf Cart friendly

Just 2 short blocks to beach and 6 to restaurants. Kitchen/living area on top floor for best ocean views. Large deck for outside dining and a screened porch and Half bath. Down 1 level to King master, Queen guest, (both with walk out decks) and 3rd bedroom with 2 twin beds. 2 full baths and laundry. Downstairs on pool level, picnic table, grilling area (park style charcoal), hot & cold outside shower, fish cleaning station with hot and cold water, and covered parking. This level also has a toilet for convenience. Pool can be heated for a fee when night temp is 60 or above in spring (March, April, May) and fall (September, October, November) months heated to 85. The temp during the winter is normally to cold to heat the pool. Great pool area, you actually have room around the pool to enjoy even if not in the pool. We say 2 short blocks to the beach because the blocks on the island are 8 to 11 homes wide but only 2 deep so it is a short walk. While we do not require trip insurance, we do recommend it. No smoking and No pets. We only allow 6 people (4 adults) and 2 autos on the property at any time. All TVs are smart TVs and we have wireless internet so guests can use their own streaming service. No cable channels provided. Check in info will be sent to the email address you provided about a week before arrival. If you use a work email address make sure it can receive attachments.

Love the place because of the location and the poll as well as the cleanliness of the house. Recommendation: bring extra bath towels if you like to use more than one towel per person. I like using two: one for my hair and one to dry myself. The house had everything else that we needed.

We had a fantastic stay at a fantastic home. The Surfing Sea Turtle is an excellent place to experience all St. George Island has to offer - the top floor (where the kitchen and living spaces are) provides views of the Gulf, while the lower floor, with the bedrooms and laundry room, opens out to the observation deck stocked with rocking chairs overlooking the pool. The upper deck’s screened-in porch is perfect for enjoying morning coffee and watching the sun rise, while the unscreened portion is ideal for stargazing - particularly during August’s meteor showers. Naturally, everyone’s favorite part of the house was the pool: a refuge when the beach got too hot, or for nighttime swims, or just to put your head under the built-in waterfall to cool off. The outdoor shower and lavatory are nice touches.Inside the home, the air conditioning was robust and the beds comfortable. The location is ideal - far enough from downtown and busy Gulf Beach Drive, but still a short golf cart ride from island amenities or a quick walk to the beach. The decor is as beachy as can be, everything is clearly labeled and the kitchen has plenty of implements for anyone who cares to cook on vacation.

Great home in a great location! Our family has stayed on the island a handful of times and this was our favorite home. The home was clean and exactly as described. Well stocked and plenty of room for our family of 6. Beach is just 2 short blocks away. Pool is great to have as a second option for those days you just want to hang around the house.

Perfect Week

The house was clean and well maintained. The pool was perfect for our family of 4, kids could play on step/deck or adults could sit while the kids swam around. Straight walk to a beach entry. And quick golf cart ride or bike ride to the center of town!! Would definitely consider booking again!!

SGI is so pleasant

We were very pleased with the home. The listing accurately portrayed the home. The walk to the beach was easy; i was just not a fan of crossing the busy street with a 3 and 5 year old. We really enjoyed the private pool as well! The pool has a cute waterfall! This was our first time to SGI and we thoroughly enjoyed our vacation! We will definitely be back to SGI!

The surfing sea turtle is our very favorite place! It’s the perfect place to relax but still be close enough to the beach you can walk or have a short golf cart ride. The pool is a huge bonus after a hot day. The house has everything you need. We had one minor issue that I made the owner aware of and he quickly reached out and had housekeeping stop by. Deb was so nice and texted us updates of her visit. Very impressive. We can’t wait to come back.

Fun in sun

Had a very hot week. The pool was heavenly. Large and clean and wonderful. Other than many steps we loved the house. And spent much of our evenings relaxing on screened porch chatting and eating. Would recommend this house. A very quick walk to beach and can see beach from house

Great Amenities

This home's pool made the stay - private and heated. Close walk to the beach. Lots of steps and the refrigerator is old so make sure you don't overload it. The owner has a great kitchen with everything you need to cook. I would recommend an ottoman and more couch pillows for late night tv.

Perfect location on SGI

'The Surfing Sea Turtle' was a terrific home to spend a week at, on St. George Island. It's a short/easy walk to Beach access #7, traffic noise was a non-issue because we were off Gulf Beach Dr., the pool provided lovely relaxation once off the beach for the day, and it was just a short drive to 'The Blue Parot' and the on-island grocery stores. Weather was great, the house was well maintained, nicely decorated, and the kitchen appropriately furnished. Certainly would consider 'The Surfing Sea Turtle' on our next SGI stay.

Awesome Views

This property is a fabulous place to stay! The views were awesome, the pool was fantastic and the property manager very responsive. We had an issue in secondary bathroom with shower and the came out same day on our schedule and fixed it right up. The kitchen is very well equipped for cooks with lots of pans and utensils! The only thing that is bothersome (and it was not a deal breaker for me) is the three flights of stairs to take all of your food goodies up to the third level where kitchen is located, but did I mention the views? And so close to the beach as well, easily walkable!

Good overall

Location and pool are great. Outdoor shower very convenient. A few items need repair and attention such as the screen door upstairs and overall cleanliness of the dishes. A few more towels would have been helpful. Attention to these and other finer details would make this property great. We did enjoy however so thank you.

The screen in that door is replaced several times a year. Sometimes a Tropical Storm does it but most of the time it is young children trying to push the door open. It was replaced a few weeks before your arrival and since your departure.

A fantastic week

This is our second time staying in this house (first time with the current owners) and the house is SO CLEAN! and the beds are so comfortable. The kitchen is very well appointed- we had fun making homemade ice cream and air popped popcorn. My children particularly LOVED the screened in porch. Proximity to the beach was great, and the pool was a fun alternative to the beach when we were done with sand for a day. Would stay here again!

Great house

We stayed at Surfing Sea Turtle for a family trip. Normally we stay beachfront or the next tier back and I was concerned about the views and walk to the beach with 2 young kids. The views were better than I expected and the walk was shorter than I expected. The house was the perfect size for 4 adults and 2 kids, the house was clean and the beds were comfortable. The pool is clean and well maintained. N

Great place and location

There were 2 sliding glass doors in the unit maybe 3 where the glass was fogged up if those were replaced it would have certainly made for a nicer view additionally the toilets in all 3 bathrooms were very low consider changing them to is them to slightly higher ones. Otherwise we all had a great time enjoyed the pool And the proximity to the beach the kitchen amenities were great And the owners were very easy to communicate with.
