Less than three miles up the coast, discover fine dining, boutique shopping, and a full-featured marina offering opportunities for deep sea fishing, diving, and other watersports, all at SanRoc Cay Marina. For a day of outdoor adventure, hike or cycle the miles of trails that wind throughout nearby Alabama Gulf State Park. And find fun, family-friendly attractions at places like Adventure Island, less than a mile away, and Waterville USA, only six miles from this rental.

Things to know:
Please note that there is ongoing construction at the Summer House on Romar Beach complex which impacts all buildings and units on site. Construction workers will be present during standard working hours, they may need access into units at times when necessary, and construction-related noise is to be expected. Construction equipment will also be present, which can block the parking area, views from your unit's window or balcony, or block the balcony access completely. Parking is currently limited. The construction work will also block some access points, which will be rerouted as needed. These temporary walkways and railings are safe to use as instructed, and we ask that you do not enter restricted areas. Amenities may be closed as needed for construction, including the pools, hot tub, sauna, fitness center, and tennis/basketball court.

Great views, but that's about it
This was a last minute booking as family was coming into town. Generally, I like dealing w/Vacasa because their check in/check out process is usually super smooth and easy and their units are well-kept, but I'm honestly surprised they manage a unit like this. Where do I start? I'm leaving two stars - one for the ocean view and the other for the amazing pool area. Those two features were beyond expectation. Other than that, it was a complete disappointment. Upon arrival, the front door should've been a stark warning of what's to come w/unreal levels of wear and tear. Going inside, the place was entirely run down. The walls were heavily beaten up and dented. The furniture was super broken down, dingy, dirty, and outdated, and the decor was like an old folks home auction or bazaar. As we shuffled in and began unpacking things, we realized there wasn't a single rug in the entire place. Not one. AND about an hour into unpacking, we notice our bare feet were now black and filthy, so the floor wasn't super clean when we arrived. We put down bath towels at the doors and wore socks and shoes the rest of the stay. We also noticed there was a huge spill that sprayed all over the outside of the white dishwasher that wasn't wiped up, and the sofa was sandy before any of us had ever made a trip outside. Showering was also interesting. Drainage wasn't great, and the master shower also had a liner that needed a few more magnets because it would fly in and stick to you as you showered. The kitchen was stocked with pots and pans and dishes, but be aware if you're planning on cooking inhouse that there are no spices, sugar, nothing. We had to buy salt and pepper. And finally the cell service and WIFI was terrible. We have Verizon and were dropping calls and experiencing texts that wouldn't send the entire stay. And to add insult to financial injury, our parking passes were not in the condo as promised. Everyone was nice to deal with, of course, but I spent 40 mins on the phone working to get this rectified because the parking at this complex was described as extremely strict. I felt I couldn't relax until the parking situation was taken care of. Needless to say, we were extremely disappointed for the money paid. I've been very happy w/Vacasa in the past, but I'll be more than a little weary in the future. Unless this place gets a complete overhaul, I would save myself the headache and pass on it if I were you.

We made it work
Condo in poor repair and low on cleanliness. -several lights not working -outlets not functional -parts in the shower broken -dryer barely working and very much needed cleaning -mildew on the shower curtains and tile -run down elevators with an overpowering air freshener to cover up mildew -furniture dirty -beds all really squeaky and uncomfortable Poorly stocked -two dishwasher tabs and two trash bags for a week long stay -shampoo ran out 1/2 way through the week -mismatched old dishes, like they are stocking from Goodwill -not enough forks -pans in very poor condition -not enough blankets The back porch was nice and had pretty good furniture. The TVs all worked well. The ice maker was nice. Beach access and indoor pool/hottub were the best features. We made it work, but with so many other options, I wouldn’t stay there again.

Summerhouse 1102-B is a Great Beach Stay
There’s 3 nice sized bedrooms 2 nice sized bathrooms. We love the view from the balcony seeing the ocean all the activity. It is so easy to go downstairs and walk on the beach. Summerhouse is a great location on Perdido Beach Blvd. Grocery stores ice cream shops other cute shops are in walking distance.
