Great views, but that's about it

This was a last minute booking as family was coming into town. Generally, I like dealing w/Vacasa because their check in/check out process is usually super smooth and easy and their units are well-kept, but I'm honestly surprised they manage a unit like this. Where do I start? I'm leaving two stars - one for the ocean view and the other for the amazing pool area. Those two features were beyond expectation. Other than that, it was a complete disappointment. Upon arrival, the front door should've been a stark warning of what's to come w/unreal levels of wear and tear. Going inside, the place was entirely run down. The walls were heavily beaten up and dented. The furniture was super broken down, dingy, dirty, and outdated, and the decor was like an old folks home auction or bazaar. As we shuffled in and began unpacking things, we realized there wasn't a single rug in the entire place. Not one. AND about an hour into unpacking, we notice our bare feet were now black and filthy, so the floor wasn't super clean when we arrived. We put down bath towels at the doors and wore socks and shoes the rest of the stay. We also noticed there was a huge spill that sprayed all over the outside of the white dishwasher that wasn't wiped up, and the sofa was sandy before any of us had ever made a trip outside. Showering was also interesting. Drainage wasn't great, and the master shower also had a liner that needed a few more magnets because it would fly in and stick to you as you showered. The kitchen was stocked with pots and pans and dishes, but be aware if you're planning on cooking inhouse that there are no spices, sugar, nothing. We had to buy salt and pepper. And finally the cell service and WIFI was terrible. We have Verizon and were dropping calls and experiencing texts that wouldn't send the entire stay. And to add insult to financial injury, our parking passes were not in the condo as promised. Everyone was nice to deal with, of course, but I spent 40 mins on the phone working to get this rectified because the parking at this complex was described as extremely strict. I felt I couldn't relax until the parking situation was taken care of. Needless to say, we were extremely disappointed for the money paid. I've been very happy w/Vacasa in the past, but I'll be more than a little weary in the future. Unless this place gets a complete overhaul, I would save myself the headache and pass on it if I were you.

We made it work

Condo in poor repair and low on cleanliness. -several lights not working -outlets not functional -parts in the shower broken -dryer barely working and very much needed cleaning -mildew on the shower curtains and tile -run down elevators with an overpowering air freshener to cover up mildew -furniture dirty -beds all really squeaky and uncomfortable Poorly stocked -two dishwasher tabs and two trash bags for a week long stay -shampoo ran out 1/2 way through the week -mismatched old dishes, like they are stocking from Goodwill -not enough forks -pans in very poor condition -not enough blankets The back porch was nice and had pretty good furniture. The TVs all worked well. The ice maker was nice. Beach access and indoor pool/hottub were the best features. We made it work, but with so many other options, I wouldnā€™t stay there again.

Summerhouse 1102-B is a Great Beach Stay

Thereā€™s 3 nice sized bedrooms 2 nice sized bathrooms. We love the view from the balcony seeing the ocean all the activity. It is so easy to go downstairs and walk on the beach. Summerhouse is a great location on Perdido Beach Blvd. Grocery stores ice cream shops other cute shops are in walking distance.

First thing I found when arriving was dirty underwear in master bedroom closet dirty snot rag on chair mold on shower curtains both bathrooms black mold around air vents pan under kitchen sink running over into floor front leak in sink. Satellite TV had very poor reception most channels didn't even work nice location but room was not impressive

Girls Trip

We enjoyed our stay. The condo was in a great location and view was beautiful. The unit we stayed in needed some deep cleaning and some updates. The unit also needs a lock from the inside on the door. We were all girls and having a digital lock on the outside and no lock from the inside was bothersome. It needs some kind of latch to lock at night. The property itself could also use some updates but this did not effect our stay. Over all we had a great vacation!

Orange Beach rental

This home was above my expectations!! First off easy to find, friendly security guards, easy to get luggage to the 11th floor (elevators were always working). Unlocking the door to the unit was a wonderful, bright, clean home for 4 days. Scenic gulf views, clean beach, boats, parasailing, and even a pirate ship with cannon sounds!! The unit was so clean, I cannot emphasize that too much, Iā€™m pretty particular about the cleanliness of where I stay, no issues here. Perfect home away from home. The staff at Vacasa were prompt in notifying what the ā€˜nextā€™ steps in your stay were, I appreciated that. The only thing we had to do before checking out was get all our possessions, turn on the dishwasher and shut off the lights. I highly recommend staying here! Vacasa, thank you for allowing us to stay at your unit.

Beautiful spacious beachfront condo

Well stocked, spacious, lovely condo with a spectacular view. The building is showing it's age, but this unit was nicely appointed and the spaces that matter - the fantastic outdoor pool, indoor pool and amazingly large hot tub - were all very clean and well maintained. Would come back to this property again and highly recommend to all.

Overall Great Stay

The beach view was awesome as was our time in the beach. There is green algae which was annoying. Lots of fun stuff to do in the area. Check in and out was painless. The condo was spacious but a little dated. The property has construction going on due to past hurricane so it can be loud and some of the amenities needed work. The cleanliness of the condo couldā€™ve been better, The floors and beds were sandy when we arrived so it made us feel it wasnā€™t adequately cleaned before our arrival. Beds were hard and uncomfortable. The ice machine filter was dirty and needed to be replaced. All the drains in bathrooms did not drain well which was gross. All these things were manageable so we didnā€™t bother with a complaint.
