This property (10E) was perfect for our family of four. It was in a great location in the resort--close to the pool and had a wonderful grassy area for our grandson to play. We would definitely stay here again.

As Advertised...Great Location and Property

We loved having the Ocean Club just down the street. Views from the patio were amazing. The beach toys in the garage were a huge hit. Super helpful trip assistance from the concierge as well. Overall, very responsive and helpful.

Perfect In Every Way!!

We couldn't have been more pleased with this condo unit and the community of Hali'i Kai. Everything was pristine and beautiful. The condo was so clean and well equipped and the location was unbeatable. We enjoyed the pool and restaurant/bar daily and the sunsets from there are spectacular. We also enjoyed the golf course.

Wonderful vacation rental!

We really enjoyed our time in Hali'i Kai. The location is great with easy access to the golf course, pool and restaurant. The ocean view and sunset scenes were wonderful. The interiors were spacious and clean and the kitchen had everything we needed. This ground floor unit allowed easy access to the lawn out back which was great with our kids. In the garage we found beach chairs, snorkel gear and boogie boards which were enjoyed by all. We left some water socks for the next renters to use at some of the amazing beaches and tide pools. Mahalo for a wonderful stay! We can't wait to come back.

Everything we hoped for!

Wonderful week in Hawaiiā€”this location was set apart by it amazing pool and gym area overlooking the ocean, tennis/pickleball courts, beautiful view of the golf course and ocean from the lanai, very comfortable beds, beautiful and well decorated home, stocked kitchen, air conditioning (wasnā€™t expecting that in Hawaii), proximity to amazing beaches (Kia Bay was our favorite), and well stocked garage with lots of beach gear (snorkeling masks/fins, beach chairs, sun umbrellas, cooler, tennis rackets). I recommend stopping at Costco to stock up on your way from the Kona airport to the property.

Wonderful!

What a great location for a tranquil and relaxing vacation. This property was ideal for our family of five. The master bedroom has a very spacious closet and very big bathroom area. I would suggest a built in small vanity mirror, but not a problem. Our middle daughter said she ā€œloved her bedroomā€ which has a comfortable queen sized bed. The third bedroom with the twin beds need softer mattresses according to our other girls. We loved the Hawaiian decor and the the tv in living room has a great sound system. The kitchen is also well stocked with seasonings and we were able to enjoy grilling on the back patio which had a very lovely view of the ocean and gorgeous sunsets. Itā€™s also a close walk to the ocean club. Thank you for the books available for us to enjoy!

Family vacation

The propery was as advertised - if not nicer. Very well equipped and close proximity to the clubhouse. We didnt need to purchase any additonal items during our 4 night stay. The lanai had a great view across the golf course to the ocean. We didnt spend a lot of time inside, but we would've been very thankful to have stayed here if the weather was suspect. We used the clubhouse a few times and had a great time (live music), but you better get there early to get a chair to watch the sunset. The fitness center, while not large, has a stunning view. Location was great for getting most places on the island. Volcano's was a jaunt, but that's about it. Dont miss the Manta Ray snorkel (or scuba)! For future renters - we did try the grocery store in Waikoloa Village, but didnt find the prices much better than the close by markets.

The Ultimate Location

We had stayed at a Hali'i Kai garden unit back in 2013 and fell in love with the location. I must say that Unit 10E made this particular family trip to the Big Island spectacular. Awesome views of the golf course, ocean, and unbeatable sunsets from the lanai. Walking distance to the pool which has a great restaurant and drinks. Ask for Kathy, she's awesome. Beautifully decorated unit with everything you could need for your stay including snorkel gear, chairs, coolers, and beach towels. We enjoyed cooking our meals. There's lots of cooking items, spices, etc, including some we added, ha ha! Our adult kids were happy having their own rooms, there's lots of space to spread out. Wifi worked great for those moment we "had" to work and the whole check in/out process was seamless. I could go on and on about our stay! Thank you for a great vacation, we will definitely be returning and would not hesitate to stay in this unit and with Kona Coast again. Hopefully it won't take us 9 years to return the next time around!

Exceeded Expectations

The unit and amenities exceeded our expectations with its ohana spirt and attention to detail. The unit was perfectly located, clean, well stocked, and integrated hawaiian spirit. Nearby there are amazing beaches like Hapuna Beach. And if your feeling adventurous you can take the lava trail from the resort to Black Beach for great snorkeling (20m hike or 10m drive with very little public parking). I recommend other snorkel trips south of Kona then enjoy time at the pool. Talking about pool, itā€™s beautifully located on the water. Although never crowded, it can get a bit loud with the kids. Having kids it didnā€™t bother me but for those withoutā€¦.and the community restaurant was our 3 best dining experiences. They treated us like family, great drinks, and a menu for all including a fresh catch of the day. We ate at other local restaurants but it felt like ā€œisland timeā€ and we usually left disappointed. My standards are genuinely pretty high and this exceeded all expectations. Now onto Mauiā€¦.aloha.

Love Hali'i Kai and 10E

This was our second stay at 10E and our 8th visit to Hali'i Kai. It was our first travel since the pandemic. As expected we had a fabulous stay and time. We especially enjoyed the sunsets and our friend Larry who lives at Hali'i Kai who blows his conch shell at every sunset on the golf course. 10E is a great corner Condo with a wonderful view of the golf course and ocean, and a short walk to the incredible Ocean Club. Cheeseburgers in Paradise

10E was simply perfect for our family. We go to Hawaii often... more often we pick Maui. We decided it was time to show my mother all that Big Island has to offer. Man oh Man... Halii Kai 10E is like finding Price Charming and the condos in Wailea or Lahaina are like the bad, deadbeat mean boyfriend that you keep making excuses for. The layout of 10E was perfect. My mother took the Master on one side and my husband and our kiddos were on the other side creating a nice sound buffer and creating peace. The sunsets from the lanai were epic. The pool was amazing. I loved that it was a condo but felt like a resort at the pool with a full bar and restaurant. My kiddos getting a smoothie poolside with mind blowing for them. The kitchen was well stocked. Tons of cookware and space for our groceries in the pantry. Laundry was great too. I will give this condo a 10 out of 10- 5 stars- two thumbs up. I don't think I'll be back to Maui after this trip... bye Felicia

We were here for two weeks and couldnā€™t have been happier. The unit was very well appointed, and I especially appreciated opening up the lanai doors in the morning and enjoying my coffee. Kitchen had everything we needed, and the beds were very comfortable. We would certainly look at staying here again!

Great view and great space in Haliā€™i Kai

We were here Aug 3-10. This was our third stay in Haliā€™i Kai in the past 5 years. This condo is very well equipped in the kitchen. It lacked nothing for kitchen tools and utensils, the cookware and appliances all in great shape. All you need for beach gear is in the garage. The condo is furnished and finished beautifully. Itā€™s a corner unit and has lots of windows. The ground floor location has great sunset ocean views. A short 3 min walk up the grass to the pool. I highly recommend Haliā€™i Kai for its quiet neighborhood, spacious condos, beautiful pool on the edge of the lava bluff overlooking the ocean. Sunsets at the pool are perfect. The staff is very friendly and the pool has bar and restaurant. We enjoyed the restaurant food. The only bad thing is we could not stay forever!

10E was fabulous

This was our 3rd time at Halii Kai. We stayed in 10E - ground floor, 3 bedroom unit. Close walk to the Ocean Club. The living room was a bit tighter than on a 2bdrm, but the 3 rooms were great. The two teens got their own space, though their windows faced the east so they got the morning sun. We had ocean view from the lanai, and plenty of light from through the side windows. Kitchen was amazingly equipped. Henckel knives, Riedel wine glasses, plenty of spices. The coffee cups were good sized. There was coffee grinder and maker, blender, toaster, rice cooker, tons of dishes, bowls, pitchers, even a salad spinner! I really appreciated the supplied basics: laundry soap, bath bar soap, hand soap, dish soap, and toilet paper and paper towels. Plenty of bath towels, even cosmetic face wash cloths. There were 8 beach towels in the unit. We couldn't park in the garage, but we had access to its contents: 4 Tommy Bahama beach chairs and umbrella, plus 4 boogie boards. We left the 4 boogie boards and pool noodles we had bought earlier there in the garage. Also had tennis rackets and balls. There were also ice packs in the freezer for the cooler. The wood floors were gorgeous. If it had been winter, I would have had the gorgeous lanai doors wide open! It's always a question if a place is as good as you remember. Halii Kai delivers. The complex is quiet. Part of the Waikoloa resort but separate; I think the Hilton golf course barrier gives it a more airy feel. The Ocean Club is amazing. My kids (now 17 and 14) still enjoy the pool. Yes, they can't throw balls or do major horseplay, but did they have fun - yes. Lots of marco polo. Kids met many other kids and hung out with them at the pool. The place is soooo friendly. We chatted with other guests and some owners. The staff at the Ocean Club are great. I can't believe it's the same people who've been there since our first trip, and it speaks volumes to the quality of the establishment. Pool towels provided as is lemon water. My kids enjoyed the virgin passionfruit daiquiris. The complex has tennis and basketball courts; you can check out the equipment at the front desk if needed. It fronts the ocean and the lava-rock Kings Trail; we took it over to the Black Sand beach. You don't have direct beach access from this complex, but you drive to the best beaches anyway (Hapuna, Mauna Kea). A-Bay, just a mile away, is nice for snorkeling and okay for swimming, and has parking lot . I would stay here again!

big Island vacation

Condo was very well equipped . We appreciated how well it was stocked with cleaning supplies, beach chairs, snorkels,etc. Really enjoyed our stay, will stay here again. The only down side is that it is a half hour drive to a big grocery store like Wallmart or Cosco. The Market Place at Queens centre is expensive with limited fresh fruit and veggies.
