Welcome to this classic Hilton Head cottage!

2 Bayberry is a 3-bedroom, cottage style home located on South Forest Beach. Guests here can enjoy a quick leisurely walk to the beach from this fifth-row home. Relax in one of the two living areas, one located on the 1st floor and the one located on the second level of the home. This 1st floor offers an additional sitting area, completely furnished, perfect for those wishing to curl up with a good book or catch a quiet afternoon siesta! Guests will feel right at home in the dining area which offers seating for 8. Meals can be prepared with ease in the kitchen, complete with all appliances and accessories. A closet furnishes a washer and dryer in the kitchen area.

The master bedroom is located on the 1st level and is set with a king bed and full bathroom. From here, enjoy access to the pool and spa area outside the home. Fenced in for privacy, enjoy an afternoon relaxing by the pool or a peaceful evening in the soothing hot tub! With generous seating, all will enjoy this outdoor setting. Located outside of the fenced-in pool area, guests will embark on the home's courtside area, complete with Adirondack chairs, picnic table, gas grill, and outdoor lighting ~ the perfect spot for a BBQ!

Back inside the home, two guest bedrooms are located upstairs and share a full bathroom. The 1st guest bedroom is set with a king bed and the 2nd is set with a queen bed. The upstairs living area is also equipped with a sleeper sofa for additional sleeping accommodations. A vacation at Forest Beach is sure to entertain every sort of vacationer. Forest Beach is a center of activity on the Island! Just steps away from Coligny Plaza, the ocean, and a 21 x 13 pool right outside your front door, this cottage style home is sure to be a crowd-pleaser! We look forward to seeing you at the beach!

Quaint older house

House looks like pictures, but we had too days without heat/cooling. They did fix it after being notified. Close to the ocean.

Pool and jacuzzi

It's too bad when you rent a home with a pool and jacuzzi that you have to pay extra to use the jacuzzi as far as heat goes

Quiet family getaway

We would stay here again. Clean home, private pool area, couple minute walk to beach on private path, quiet neighborhood, easy bike ride to Coligney Plaza. The kitchen is well-equipped for cooking meals. The washer and dryer are newer and large capacity. Linens, bath towels, and even beach towels are provided. Some paper products provided. While the furniture is dated and showing wear all of the bedding is new. Downstairs bedroom mattress seemed to sag around the edges. We had mixed reviews among our family on bed comfort levels--probably based on mattress preferences. No one lost any sleep. The staff at Beachside Getaway was very helpful. They were good about sending out needed information, always quick to reply to texts and emails, and prompt to resolve any issues we had. Come prepared with bug repellent, beach and pool gear, and rent some bikes. Great place for a quiet family getaway.

Needs a thorough cleaning

Check in great, jacuzzi wasn’t working when we got there. We wanted to use it to relax from trip before dinner but couldn’t. Didn’t mind that furniture was dated but could use a good steam cleaning. The rugs were gross. Dust was everywhere. The master bedroom’s shower had dirt in it. I wouldn’t have given my kid a bath in any of the tubs! I had a stain on my comforter that looked like blood. Not sure the last time those were washed. Took an extra pillow from the closet & was covered in stains. So gross, looked like they were all the original pillows. The pool eventually turned green cuz the jacuzzi leaked into it even though we followed the maintenance person’s instructions & turned it off. There were no directions on use of jacuzzi or even the tv. We had to have someone come over to show us what to do. The kitchen supplies were disgusting. Dirty glasses, scratched & disgusting pots, pans, etc. The place is could be so much nicer if the owner would just take a little pride in it. Give it a deep cleaning, get some new kitchen ware, pillows, etc. it seems like it’s just a moneymaker for the owner & they should be ashamed.

Family getaway

Property was clean. Listing shows the property as it actually is. There was plenty of room for our family of 6 (all adults). It is next to a very busy and loud road, but the walk to the beach was easy!

Cozy beach cottage

We had a great time at this no frills cottage by the beach! The pictures in the listing are very accurate. Things are dated sure, but everything works. The furniture and beds were very comfortable, the house very clean, and you can't beat the proximity to the beach from a private access path. The pool and spa were a nice touch. Great location on the island as well.

Location

House a bit outdated. Has good space. Bike rental makes everything closer, including beach. New years eve rental so pool/hottub usage would have made this rental better.

Short walk to beach/decent property

Communication was great with management and the walk to the beach was short. The property wasn’t as clean as I would have liked and could use a bug service both inside and outside. Could be the change in weather. Overall, we had a good time.

It was a bit difficult keeping the leaves out of the pool.

I would most definitely rent again. The location was fantastic. It did seem a bit dated but we had everything we needed. We saw a roach the last day in the cabinet but those things happen sometimes and it was only one. We enjoyed our stay very much!

Interior is antiquated. Smells musty and hasn't had a deep clean in a very long time.

Would have given 0 stars if possible. Decor is "Granny" style. You sink down in sofas and beds are terrible. Owner should be embarrassed. Pool and spa are in terrible condition, needs a complete overhaul. Hot water in kitchen and master bath takes forever! Bathrooms need complete replacement. You can tell everything has been rigged instead of having proper maintenance done. Dust was hanging off ceiling fans and air return vents (which are located at eye level at dining table). I wish someone would have been honest with us. Please don't waste your money or vacation on this property.

Wonderful week at the beach

Great house, great location. Lots of room, lots of sleeping options. Pool/spa made the house even more enjoyable. The beds were very comfortable, the towels and beach towels provided were high quality and plentiful. Walk to beach was short, walk to town took maybe 15 minutes. Rented bikes for the week from Forrest beach rentals, they delivered them early on Sunday and picked them up when we asked them to on Friday, very nice bikes. If we come back to HH we will stay here again.
