House has everything you and your extended family and friends could want - LOTS of activities inside and out! Inside -Bumper Pool Table, Ping Pong, Air Hockey, Media Room w/ 75in smart TV, Foosball, board games and puzzles! Outside - Private dock and sand beach, WE are locate at the end of an inlet for ultimate privacy - excellent fishing and kayaking! 7 kayaks, 4 Stand up Paddle Boards, Peddle Boat, hammocks, Playground w/ swings, slide and sandbox, Fire pit, Gas BBQ and Camp grill (charcoal). Over 20 life jackets from infant to 3XL! Community pool and boat launch only 2 blocks away. NEW Deluxe Memory foam Mattresses and black out curtains for a great night sleep! Porta crib, bassinet and high chair provided. Outside shower with HOT water for those sandy feet and washing off your furry friends.

Everything about the house was without a doubt excellent. More than enough room and a variety of entertainment. Thrilled to have had the opportunity to stay here. Was so glad that the owner allowed our pet to stay. I was thrilled to death of the accommodations that were beyond expectations. We will look for this property for our future stays.

We had a wonderful stay at this home and enjoyed a fantastic weekend together at Lake Anna! The house was comfortable, welcoming, and thoughtfully equipped with everything we needed.The kitchen was especially well stocked, with a great selection of utensils and appliances that made preparing meals easy and enjoyable. We also appreciated having plenty of towels available. The baby gate was a very helpful amenity, and the wide variety of games provided wonderful entertainment on a rainy day. There were also plenty of life jackets and kayaks available for us to use. Even though the water levels were low, we were still able to visit the boat ramp and enjoy kayaking.Thank you for your hospitality and for sharing your home with us. We had a great experience and will certainly look for this property again when we return to Lake Anna next year!

The house and accommodations were outstanding. Unfortunately, we were unable to make use of the water activities (primarily due to our timetable with planned weddings events and also the water level), but none of that is the owners fault. Our host was very accommodating and incredibly kind in allowing us to add an additional night due to unforseen car troubles. I highly recommend this place for large family gathering, with all the amenities. Our only regret is that we couldn't stay longer!

This was our second time staying at the house with a group of 16 adults/kids. We love the private, water front location and all the great yard/deck space for relaxing. Karlene is very responsive and the house is well equipped- we especially love all the kayaks/paddleboards provided on site! One thing to note is that the water level behind the house was pretty low so it would be challenging to get anything larger than a kayak into the water. Once you get into the main lake area, its no problem at all.

Host was non responsive to any emails. Property has security cameras outside, however the cameras were not disclosed on the listing as is required by vrbo policy. Front stairs had wood rot. Wood rot was also evident on the upper deck in front of primary bedroom door. Due to lake level the private dock was useless. The private beach is a misrepresentation. It is a small sand sitting area next to a stagnant stream. The gutters over the covered porch leak excessively. Half of the outlets in the kitchen did not work. Trash cans were partially full at our arrival. Cans are left on the driveway and are easily knocked over by wildlife (Bears). The rug in the main family room has curled edges creating a severe trip hazard to guests.

I'm sorry the lake anna wasn't what you expected. All of Lake anna is in a severe drought. Normally we have 4 -5 ft of water off the dock but with the 30in deficit its about 2ft. Good for the provided kayaks and paddle boards but not a boat. Water levels are expected to return to normal with the predicted rain. House does have outside cameras - we had a break in - but they only show the outside access points. Private sand beach is 24 x 20 ft at the shoreline. Trash pick up is once a week (currently Fridays) so depending on when you check in there could be trash in the four 96 galloon trash bins provided. I strive to respond immediately to every message - i responded thru vrbo to 4 messages during your stay but they werent going thru- i apoligize for the vrbo glitch. Bears in the trash was a 1st for us, not something you exoect in an established neighborhood- hopefully they have moved on :) we are aware of some cosmetic issues need on the side entrance deck- they will be done in the fall

I hope you enjoyed your stay! I feel your frustration with the lake grass. This is all over Lake Anna this year, 1st time we have ever seen it. Dominion has a plan for reducing/eradicating it so hopefully it will be gone soon!

Nice house

The house is nice and in a quiet location. Not in the busy part of the lake but the property has plenty of activities and boats and supplies for fun!

Awesome stay!!!!

Overall, this place was amazing! Few hiccups that we felt could be better (such as not having enough Toilet paper, paper towels, etc). The stove malfunctioned at times. Beyond that we had an absolute amazing time. Very relaxing with kayaks, paddle boats, hammocks, fishing, sandbox and playset, campfire, etc). We recommend this place to everyone!!!

Great Place to Get Away

The property was beautiful and private. Perfect for kids 8-15 to safely play in the lake and not have to worry about passing boats. Also, plenty to do in the house for the kids if it's raining.The house was clean, had enough room for 17 people to sread out, and check in process was easy.

Family vacation

This house is absolutely amazing! The pictures do not do it justice. We absolutely loved our trip and could not have asked for a better home. The host was extremely patient with all of my questions and extremely responsive. Thank you for making it so amazing. This house is sooooo much larger and better than anyone could expect. I highly recommend it to anyone.

Great place for a group

This is a nice property and well suited for a large group. It had everything we needed. Just keep in mind that the water access is not great from the yard because the lake is low but you can kayak or paddle board from the property, launch a boat from the neighborhood ramp, or go to the neighborhood beach area. The owners were very responsive and helpful!

Glad you enjoyed the house! Once a year, usually in the fall, dominion power plant shuts down for a couple weeks for its annual maintance. Since the private/ warm side of the lake is feed by the power plant water levels will drop by several feet during the shut down. Unfortunately your stay coincided with this year's shut down. During the spring and summer, and non-shut down fall weeks we have about 4 ft of water depth at our private dock at the end of the inlet- enough to easily get our 25 ft jet boat in and out but during shut down its less than 2ft and boats will need to use the marina 2 blocks away (there are free day slips for boats).

Lake Anna

This house and property were exactly what our extended family needed. The property was wonderful - plenty of room for playing outside, a small beach, a fishing dock, and many kayaks and paddle boards. The layout of the house allowed the early birds and night owls to do their things without disturbing any others. The neighborhood was bikable and the community pool was quite nice.

Overall, the house and location were great! It had the perfect amount of beds and baths for our large groups of 16. The yard was a great size for the kids to run, play kickball or just relax in the hammocks. The paddle boards and kayaks were such a fun experience, though we still needed to bring more of our own due to the size of our group. One thing to note is that the photos made it seem like there was a beach and swimming area on site, which there wasn’t. You could take the kayaks out into the water a little ways to swim, or take a short drive to the beach area down the road. The gas grill was out of propane, which we could have gone out and purchased, but chose not to. We would definitely rent again in the future!

So glad you enjoyed the house and your time with family! There is a 24 x 20 ft private beach in the backyard just steps away from the dock. As for swimming it really depends on what you are looking for. We are at the end of any inlet so ultimate privacy and zero boat traffic. In front of the beach the water is 1-4 ft deep (sloping) so great for kids but no so much if you're looking for a place to dive or are not comfortable touching the bottom of a lake. I personally don't like to touch the sandy bottom so I swim a couple hundred yards away where the depth is 8 ft and I don't have to worry about accidentally touching the bottom :) Please come again!

Hi, we are the Bakers. And this is our home away from home! My husband and I were lucky enough to find this amazing house in 2020. We LOVE the secluded peaceful setting and all the water activities it has to offer. It has the perfect private location with still being only 15 minutes to restaurants and grocery stores. We did a major revamp with comfort and convenience in mind. Deluxe mattresses, black out curtains, memory foam toppers, down alternative comforters etc. And are now proud to offer others the opportunity to stay at our Lake side retreat! Our Family of 8 enjoys the house at least once a month and much more often during water skiing season! Fortunately being on the Warm/private side of Lake Anna means we can start skiing in MARCH!
