Our gorgeous 3 bedroom / 2 bath home sits on a huge basin in West Bay, with 160 feet of waterfront in the Terramar community. The property sleeps 9 and is perfect for a 2-family getaway, couples weekends, or a group of friends looking to enjoy some time away from home. A luscious nature preserve on the other side of the basin provides frequent visits from unique birds, as well as totally unobstructed views of the sunset. Located just minutes from Terramar Beach!

From the moment you step foot on our property, you will be blown away by the massive outdoor space and stunning views of the bay. Our downstairs area is well-furnished with tons of patio furniture and space to entertain and socialize. Gathering around our round table for a breezy evening dinner with beautiful views is one of our favorite evening activities. We also have a charcoal grill downstairs that our guests are free to use.

Our backyard is situated against a large basin, with plenty of room for swimming, kayaking and fishing. You don't even have to leave the house to catch some nice redfish or speckled trout - we have a bright fishing light that's great for night fishing. Should you desire to venture out to the bay, the boat launch is right around the corner - easy and convenient for dropping in and tying off on the bulkhead.

Inside the home you will find a beautiful fully-equipped kitchen where you can prepare a delicious home cooked meal. Steps away is the living area where you can enjoy sports, movies, and cable television on our 75" flat-screen TV. You won't have any issues with your entire party accessing the internet - we have lightning fast 1000 Gbps WiFi.

Comfortable mattresses and fresh linens await in the bedrooms. We have a bunk room with full-on-full bunk beds and a trundle unit, which easily sleeps 5 people - perfect for kids. There is a queen room just across the hall, and the Captain's Quarters on the top floor with a king bed which has balcony access and beautiful sunset views.

This place is amazing. The owner John and his proper manager Kyle were both very responsive. Check in and check out were both super easy. We really enjoyed our trip and will most definitely be coming back! The view was amazing, the beds were comfy, plenty of dishes and pots and pans to cook with. I would rate this place 12 out of 10.

Great bay house with great views. We loved the kayaking, fishing, crabbing, pet friendly, and clean & comfortable house. The green light was good for fishing. Loved the tv & kitchen/bar area downstairs to watch sports and hangout. Plenty of space in the yard for the kids to play football. Not too far from the beach parking. Unfortunately you canā€™t drive golf carts on the beach in this area. Nice neighborhood with friendly neighbors. House had good air conditioning, lots of natural light, good hot water, & comfy beds. Canā€™t go wrong here.

This property is perfectly located for kayaking, fishing, and stunning sunsets. It was well equipped and clean. Very responsive host.Each evening, the green pier light, provided a magical fish fireworks show. Simply beautiful watching the glowing fish churn!

We loved our stay here! We loved how peaceful it was, yet so close to the beach. My husband loved the fishing right off the patio. John was super helpful throughout the booking process and made check in/check out easy! We canā€™t wait to come back and are already looking at more dates.

We rented the home so that we could fish and be away from the business of Galveston. We were close enough to drive out and enjoy the island but then go back to relax and fish. My husband enjoyed kayaking and spent hours out in the bay. This house did not disappoint. The house manager and owner were so easy to reach. Canā€™t wait to be back.

Great way to enjoy bay and beach!

The house is roomier than it appears on the photos. We really enjoyed access to the bay with the fishing light and all the downstairs amenities. You really need a golf cart. If youā€™re gonna go to the beach over all the places is fantastic and we would certainly rent it again. No complaint!

Great Getaway on the Water

House is located on a broad part of the canal with outstanding views of the marsh and bay including incredible sunsets. Our group had a great time kayaking, hanging out in the water, and grilling. Host was great and made the check-in and check-out process very smooth.

Overall the property is gorgeous! Can fish right out back, great amenities, short drive from the beach and San Luis pass! Had a couple small issues and the homeowner went above and beyond to make sure we were satisfied with our stay! 10/10 Cant wait to come back and stay here again!

Great bay house to rent

This is a very nice waterfront house to rent. Has pretty much everything you need for a vacation home (inside and outside). The house was very clean. Has a wonderful location with easy access to the beach. John, the owner is extremely helpful and gives you lots of info before going there and responds very quickly to any questions. We loved staying at here.

Moms 99th birthday!

What a wonderful place to celebrate Moms birthday. My brother flew in from Portland and as we sat relaxing on the lower patio with mom and her husband, enjoying the nice breeze , we realized how blessed we were. This was the perfect house because we all love to fish and the waterfront footage was awesome. The views were amazing. I wish we had been able to stay longer. John was most helpful and check in and out was very easy. I recommend this lovely home highly.

Great home on the water basin

My family and I enjoyed are stay at Johnā€™s place. Communication was great. The home met all expectations. Great home for seeing the sunset over the water basin during the evening. Fishing was awesome. My son caught speckled trout, redfish, and even a monster alligator gar. The house had plenty of space for us. The downstairs is a great spot to relax and escape the sun while still enjoying tbe gulf breeze. Highly recommend Johns place to anyone looking to rent a nice relaxing stay in Galveston.

Amazing waterfront house

I canā€™t say enough good things about this house. We have stayed in many beach houses in Galveston & Crystal beach but none of them compare with this beauty. It was peaceful, relaxing, and fun all in one place. The third deck balcony off the master was the perfect place to sit and read or watch the sunset. The teenagers loved floating around in the kayaks, and it was the best fishing on the island. My husband and caught a huge 25 inch redfish right off the bulk head. The host was very great at communicating with us and was there to help with anything we needed. We canā€™t wait to go back when it is warmer.

Great place to stay

I cannot say enough great things about this property. The location is absolutely perfect, right on the canal. Great for fishing or just floating in the water. When we arrived, the house was so clean and I noticed it had new appliances. My kids loved kayaking and being able to run freely because the house is located at the end of the road in a cul de sac on a huge lot. I would recommend this house to anyone who is looking for a relaxing, quiet and fun few days in Galveston. The property owner John is extremely easy to work with and is very accommodating and responded to my questions almost immediately. I would like to thank him for his hospitality and I will definitely be booking this house again in the near future.

Great outside amenities!

This is a great house if you plan to spend a lot of time outside either on the deck or downstairs. We were there during Spring Break and it was very very windy and too cold to spend much time outside. The deck has very nice furniture and the downstairs area is great for entertaining. Inside is small for a big group. You need to be able to handle stairs well. The 2nd level bedroom with the bunk beds is open like a loft to the first level. So anyone sleeping there might be bothered by the lights and noise from the first level. The master is up another flight of stairs. Nice king bed - very tiny bathroom. The house was stocked very generously and was very clean. The owner was very responsive. We loved watching the pelicans and catching crabs. Too bad it was too cold to use the kayaks. Very quiet neighborhood.

The best staycation ever!

We enjoyed celebrating my husbandā€™s 50th Birthday and my Uncles 70th Birthday. The sunsets from the balcony were breathtaking. We enjoyed fishing, crabbing, sunbathing, swimming, kayaking, and lots of yummy dinners. Movies on the big TV during raining days. Fabulous fun on the beach across the street. The owner went above and beyond to make our stay one to remember.
