Welcome to Mimi's Beach Cottage

Two bedroom two bath home located right on the beach. This home has a dishwasher, washer/dryer, microwave, fully stocked kitchen, outdoor shower, deck overlooking the gulf and an outdoor grill. NO SMOKING, NO PETS.

BED SIZES: 1K, 1Q, T/T BUNK BED

Suncoast Vacation Rentals offers a wide selection of beach homes and cottages on St. George Island ranging from one to eight bedrooms. Our rates are some of the most competitive on the island, for which we provide nice beach homes for an affordable price. All of our beach homes have televisions with cable and DVD/VCR's. The ocean is your back yard and it’s a nice fairly flat walk to the water. Nice new deck and boardwalk with great outdoor furniture. We liked it so much we went ahead and booked another stay. The location is great. Short distance to restaurants, etc. in a golf cart acceptable area. Overall a great little place with great people.

We have stayed at Mimi‘s house several times over the years. We always look forward to going back and staying there. It’s a wonderful place to enjoy a getaway.

Functional Older House in a Great Location

Beds and towels were clean and there were no signs of bedbugs (I always check). House is very open and bright. Lots of windows, all with new blinds. You can see everything from nearly everywhere. Good for people traveling with kids. Front porch was very recently redone and the chairs out there look new as well. There is a clothesline out front for drying your clothes.Short, easy walk to the beach. $$$ PRICE PRICE PRICE $$$CONSThey must have sprayed for roaches before our arrival because we found several dead or dying Palmetto roaches throughout the house. Outdoor shower is broken.Needs maintainance in several ways. Door knobs are jiggly/screws are pushing out, some electrical outlets are missing faceplates, needs some new caulk here and there/baseboards. Couch is a little dingy. Overall, the place looks functional, but "worn."The kitchen could use some new utensils. No pizza cutter/not many sharp knives/no scissors/no hot pads and the cookie sheets do not fit in the oven. Overall, this might be too "lived in" for some persnickety people. But we found nothing we couldn't endure for a week and the location/price makes up for any issues.

The location of this property was great. It had a lot of living space and a covered porch. The house needs upgrading, especially the kitchen which is quite old. Most of the house is missing baseboards which may have contributed to the roach problem. Despite the excellent location, I do not plan to rebook this house.

Don't want to share this secret

We fell in love with it as soon as we drove up and parked under the covered circular driveway. The view are spectacular. The kitchen was well stocked and we cooked in a few times. The only negatives were the dilapidated rails on the walkway to the beach. The little walkway needs so care - could be a hurtful experience for Littles. Also, the exterminator must have been there at sometime before as my husband had a daily sweep up of dead or dying cockroaches (palmetto bugs) but dead or dying is better than fast and where did it go?Looking forward to revisiting Mimi's Beach House again!
