We’re glad you enjoyed our home and beautiful lakefront setting and had a great week. We take great pride in the house and continually maintain and update it, including new living room furniture and sofas this summer. We keep personal items to a minimum, retaining just a few meaningful historical pieces that give the home character. Your family arrived nearly two hours before check-in while our cleaners were still completing the turnover, therefore we weren’t able to complete our usual final inspection/tasks. During peak summer season, same-day turnovers are very tight, and deeper-cleaning items such as dusting blinds are typically addressed at the beginning and end of the season in addition to our regular turnover cleaning. All of the air-conditioning filters were cleaned at the start of the season, and the refrigerator water filter was also replaced at the beginning of the summer season. Although the replacement reminder light came on, the filter was still functioning and both water and ice remained fully accessible. The notice indicates that replacement is due, it’s not a signal that the system has stopped working. We also provide two chests full of toys and games for our guests to enjoy. The cornhole game pictured had unfortunately been broken and removed; it was shown as an example of the outdoor games available rather than as a listed or promised amenity. Going forward, we’ll be more firm about our check-in time so our normal turnover process can be completed.
