Our priority has always been to provide our guests with premier vacation rental experiences and ensure you feel comfortable from the moment you enter your rental property. While we’ve always gone to great lengths to best maintain and prepare all of our properties, we’ve since updated our operating protocols and are allocating extra cleaning time between guests to disinfect and sanitize all high-touch surfaces. This may mean that your property won’t be ready until check-in time, but you can rest assured that it will be clean and safe for your stay! To limit interaction, we will provide contactless check-in instructions for accessing the unit. We have been to Playa Turquesa 7 times and have always enjoyed our stay and we always try to get a condo with a rooftop terrace. However, even though, the description states a rooftop terrace; you have NO access to it. There is a door that says, no entrance” do not open”! We were very disappointed in this!

Thank you for your continued loyalty to us, we truly appreciate that you’ve chosen to stay with us multiple times. We’re sorry to hear about the confusion regarding the rooftop terrace. The property has recently been remodeled, and a significant portion of the rooftop area has been converted into a second bedroom and full bathroom. As a result, the condo is now offered in two configurations: as a 1-bedroom unit or as a 2-bedroom penthouse with rooftop access. Rooftop access is available when the unit is booked as the 2-bedroom penthouse. We understand how this may have been disappointing, especially since you specifically look for units with rooftop terraces, and we regret that this was not clearly communicated. If the discrepancy in the listing description had been brought to our attention during your stay, we would have gladly assisted and provided access for you. We are always happy to help and ensure our guests have the best possible experience, and this could have been easily resolved at the time. Your feedback is very valuable, and we will make sure to clarify these details more explicitly in our listing and pre-arrival messages to avoid any future confusion. We hope to have the opportunity to host you again and provide the full experience you were expecting.

Wonderful stay ! Great location, clean, great view. Unit as shown on VRBO. The Probar on the beach at the complex has the best Sea Food over all the beach on Bavaro beach we ate there most of the time. Thank you ! We’ll be back.

Loved Our Stay

We loved our stay at Play Turquesa. The condo was beautifully appointed and very comfortable. The location is great. The pools and Toc beach bar were excellent. We loved having the grocery store easily accessible and lots of great restaurants nearby. I really can't say enough about the complex, the staff and the location. We will be back!

Beautiful Beach

Property was very very close to the beach with great views. The condo was well stocked with cooking items. The BAM market was not well stocked with fresh fruits and veggies and we had to take a bus to the Jumbo market. Overall experience was good.

I am not sure how you missed the 3 fruit and vegetable stands all within walking distance with one of them located directly across from the entrance of the community. No need to drive to Jumbo for fruits and vegetables. In addition, there is another supermarket across the street from the community as well. So your options are all within walking distance.

The 2 washrooms were a nice touch and the balcony had beautiful views of the pool and ocean. We could walk to the BAM market but the selection of fresh fruits and vegetables was not great. The bus ride to the JUMBO was cheap and we felt comfortable taking the bus.

Thank you for your review and feedback. You can find English channels as well as many other languages on our cable tv system. All the major networks ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX, ESPN, CNN to name a few. Over 200 channels to pick from. You just have to use the TV guide provided to find the channels. We look forward to your next visit.

Awesome spot

We have just returned from an awesome 14 night stay at this unit. The apartment was in a great location being very close to the beach and local restaurants and bars. Everything was exactly as described and shown. Actually they have installed new kitchen cabinets which are a nice addition. We had an issue with the rangehood fan not working and within half an hour a technician was there to repair it....how do you beat that? We had no issues getting chairs at the beach or pool. We would definitely book this unit again. P

An amazing find!

This condo is an amazing find and a great bargain! It is super clean and perfectly located on a nice portion of the beach. There are many restaurants within walking distance in a safe area. No car is needed (you can tke a taxi to the Jumbo supermarket and stock up on well-priced groceries)! The kitchen is stocked with everything you need. There are TWO LARGE patios with nice views of the ocean! And the free umbrella and chairs on the beach are a major bonus!!! Security is friendly and very present, ensuring that only condo guests are utilizing the amenities on the property and on the beach. There is some residual noise from the hotel next door some night, but it usually dies down by 10 pm. I can't say enough good things about this rental. We will definitely be back!

After reservation the online check in process was very restrictive and would not have purchased.

Patio wasn't covered, wasnt aware of electricity cap until after reservation. The ac unit in top loft didn't work. And the unit had sugar ants which I informed host and they sent no one.

Thank you for providing us with your feedback. The Dominican Republic, being a developing country, faces challenges in terms of cost-effective electricity distribution. To promote energy conservation among renters during their stay, we offer a daily electricity allowance. Any usage exceeding this allowance will result in guests being responsible for the additional electricity charges incurred. This information can be found in the listing description, rental agreement, and house rules provided before and upon arrival. This approach enables us to offer competitive rates without having to increase the nightly cost to accommodate electricity consumption. Did you fail to read listing description as well as rental agreement you accepted and signed prior to your arrival? Condo photos show all the areas of the condo. What you see is what you get In terms of AC not working, you spent your entire stay and never did inform us of having any issues with the AC. We have a full time maintenance staff to address any issues during the stay.

Play Turquesa itself has a very welcoming atmosphere from the administrative staff to the groundkeepers. The place is well run and well maintained.The condo itself was clean and well stocked and overlooked the ocean and pool area.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was more than happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great place to vacation. The condo had an amazing view of the beach and pool. It had a nice and cozy feel to it. It had all the necessities that you may need with the exception of food. We a had minor issue with our refrigerator, but maintenance handled it immediately. It’s located near small shops and restaurants in which it’s all in walking distance. In addition, there is on site security day and night. Lastly, the young lady at the front desk who checked us in, and who’s name I believe starts with a “V” was awesome. She responded immediately to any questions or concerns that we may had.

Disappointing

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Very disappointing for the following reasons:1 . No water pressure 4 times in 3 days. When water did return "very yellow"2. Shower curtains smelled needs to be washed, replaced3 . Dried dirty mops which smelled profusely in laundry area.4 . Beach full of seaweed5 . Toilets needed assistance for tanks to fill after every use.Positive comments|1. Kitchen well stocked2 . Taxi service to and from airport well organized3 Bed very comfortable4 . Location within complex good with view of ocean5 . Nice that market will deliver water to unit.

Thank you for your feedback. Just to clarify a few of your points. No water pressure - unfortunately during your stay there were a few days in which there was maintenance work being performed in which the water was shut off for no more than 30 minutes at a time. All tenants/owners are informed of the maintenance work. Maintenance work is necessary every certain amount of time and is in order to protect the water system. Shower curtains have been washed and/or replaced with new ones. Mop has also been changed with new one. The beach full of seaweed, that is Mother Nature at work and Playa Turquesa works very hard to pick up after her. Seaweed comes and goes depending on weather conditions. Water pressure on the island is not the best so we usually recommend to wipe, flush, wipe, flush. This will usually do the trick. Welcome to Island Life! These are things that you usually have to deal with when living on an island. We have a staff of over 20 employees that want to ensure our guests have a pleasant stay. All you had to do was contact us during your stay and we could've changed the curtains and replaced the mop. There are 3 grocery stores within walking distance from Playa Turquesa and our office. We could've purchased the items for you and replace them. The things that we can control, we can surely take care of right away. Thank you for your positive comments.

Great place to stay

The condo was great and the property manager was very helpful. They arranged for us to be picked up at the airport and then taken to a large grocery store before we were taken to the condo. The place was clean and tastefully decorated. Our only complaint was that the main A/C unit wasn't working. Management had maintenance come and fix it. It worked for a few hours and then went out again. We contacted manager again who sent the maintenance crew back. They got it up and running again but it only for a few hours. It was the second week of July so it was very hot outside. The A/C in the bedroom was separate from the main unit and it worked great. There was a small wall AC unit in the loft area we turned on high along with a standing fan we used to blow the cold air down to the main floor. We were able to keep temperature to about 78° Fahrenheit during the nights and around 81° during the day time. When we checked out we explained the situation to staff member who then contacted management due to the fact that we used more electricity as a result of the AC system not functioning correctly. Manager gave us a 10 % discount on the electricity bill which we thought was far. We will stay at K403 unit when we come back to the Dominican republic. If that unit isn't available then we would consider another unit that is being managed by the same management company. Our trip in the Dominican was great and the people are so nice.

Great 60th birthday getaway.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Visiting in September, the property wasn’t very busy. Our unit was exactly as described and met every need. Clean, comfortable, and well-stocked. Great outdoor spaces with large patio/balcony and outdoor space on roof. The beachside bar and restaurant exceeded expectations. Many nice area restaurants with excellent food. Our favorite was Trebol. Upscale dining reasonably priced for the quality and atmosphere. Beach was not as nice as expected probably due to sargassum control efforts. Had to walk to find clear Caribbean water. Probably a seasonal thing. Overall a very nice way to celebrate my wife’s 60th birthday.

Little Slice of HEAVEN!!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This condo was perfect for my husband and I. The amenities were everything we needed and the location was ideal. One of my favorite things was the balcony where we spent a great deal of time watching and listening to the ocean. The resort is amazing. Everything - shopping, restaurants, etc. - is within walking distance. The beach is beautiful and we found out too late there are bars and shops along the way which we will be checking out next visit. We met a lot of wonderful other guests that have been returning for years and years and I can see why. Our only regret was not staying longer which we will do when we return! Can't wait to go back.

Very nice complex. Nice condo, very comfortable large bed. Good restaurants in walking distance. The souvenir people are very greedy, avoid the rip-off. Travel/adventure agent just out of the gate is very good. We did the rail buggy thing. Only downside was every stop had someone with their hand out, but it didn’t spoil all the fun.
