Surfside and Poolside Fun at Faro de Mita

Faro de Mita is a semi-beachfront building with a private path to El Anclote beach with it's fun & friendly surf break. The beautiful infinity-edge pool is very large and has a separate children's swim area. The building is peaceful while still located in the heart of the village of Punta de Mita. All shops and services are only a few steps from the front door.

Our 1,750 sq ft ocean-view suite is located on the garden floor and so it feels more like a casa than a condo.  You can walk straight from the bonus-size patio, across the soft grass, and into the pool in a few steps. 
The patio doors recede on both sides, providing a truly indoor-outdoor living experience. The patio has separate sitting and dining areas.
The indoor living area offers seagrass couches and custom-made wood furniture, Roku TV, and entertainment system.
The large kitchen has full size appliances, and is outfitted with all kitchen utensils, etc. The dining room table seats six, and there are two additional seats at the island.
The master suite has a king bed, Roku TV, a private ensuite, and a separate access to the patio. The second bedroom has a queen bed and a twin bed. Both bedrooms have ample closet space. All beds are custom-made, American-sized, with top-quality Sealy mattresses.
The condo has a washer & dryer, and includes free phone and wireless internet.
Faro de Mita is a gated condominium with 24-hour security.

Wonderful Mexican vacation

We loved our stay at Faro de Mita. The condo was perfect and had everything we needed. The property manager was lovely - we used her for grocery delivery and transportation. Also one day we had an issue with hot water and it was resolved quickly. We loved being on the ground floor so you could easily come and go. The pool was lovely and the waves at the beach were great for our level of surfing. Heads up the beach is rocky so not the best swimming beach (unless you have water shoes), but we explored other beaches on days where our kids wanted to swim or boogie board. Our only complaint was getting talked to by security about our children making too much noise in the pool while playing with friends. Luckily it was only the first few days but frustrating as they were simply having fun and enjoying vacation and not doing any harm. All fine in the end. Overall the condo was awesome, beds comfortable, access to the pool perfect and surfing great as a blast. Would def return

family vacation

We are a family of four and had a terrific time at Faro de Mita. Excellent location and property. Quiet and relaxed with excellent pool and grounds. Condominium itself is very clean and perfect for family of four. Jay was very easy to contact and responsive regarding any questions. Will definitely book again in the future.

Great location and condo

The location is very close to the beach and had many great restaurants within walking distance. It was nice to have a grocery store that was just a block away. The condo's outdoor living is where we spent most of our time enjoying the pool and amazing view of the bay. Highly recommend this property and would definitely book her again.

Awesome Location and Setting

Super convenient being close to pool and having all that outdoor space as a "backyard". Nice neighbors and quiet community. Security was great, felt very safe. Close to market and restaurants. Beds were surprisingly comfortable and no issues with noise above us or next door. If I had one critique... Indoor couches could be more comfortable. Didn't use the outdoor grill, but didn't look in good shape. Jay was responsive and it was an all around great experience for us. We would return.

Great Location and Owner

We have been to Punta Mita many times but always stayed behind the gates at one of the resorts. This time we decided to stay in town because the resorts have gotten so expensive. I would do it again in a heartbeat. You give up some "fanciness" but get so much in return for location, space for the family and savings that you can use for activities and food. The complex called the Faro de Mita is perfectly located. You can walk to the beach, coffee shops and restaurants in minutes. There is a guard at the property but the town feels safe and you get much more of the flavor of Mexico than if you stay in the resorts. The condo is well stocked and the grounds are well maintained. The entire wall of glass facing the pool opens up to a great view of the pool and ocean. Jay's unit is probably the best location if you like the convenience of walking out the condo and jumping in the pool. The pool is large and there are plenty of chaise lounges. There were just the right number of other people at the pool even though it was prime season. The beach right in front has a great surf spot that breaks if there is some size. Jay was really easy to deal with and we even showed up one day late.

Wonderful stay!

Jay and Kimberley’s condo is fantastic. The unit is so clean, bed was very comfortable and the sheets were soft. The kitchen has everything you need and more. The two features that sold us on this property were the outdoor space and location - both were spot on. Eloisa and Lety - property management - were great to work with. Would highly recommend this property!

Family friendly with great pool and access to surfing

A super place that I almost don't want to rave too much about, as we want to keep this gem for ourselves! Seriously though, what a wonderful, safe spot steps from the pool. The kids could run back and forth between the pool and the apartment without any fuss, which meant the adults could relax either at the pool or the apartment with eyes on the kids at all times. Good times had by all!

Great location

Beautiful and perfectly maintained property - Kimberly and Jay’s unit is ideally located on the main level, just a few steps from the pool and walk to the beach. Kitchen has everything you need, very comfortable bed and the property itself is very secure. Any issues we almost instantly looked after by Lety and Fabian. We were looking for a laid back, quiet holiday and Punta de Mita did not disappoint, but lots of restaurants to choose from, great little mercado just across the street and even some upscale shops along with the local street vendors. Great holiday and we hope to return to Punta de Mita in the not too distant future.

Great condo

Condo was as advertised. Nice sized rooms, fully equipped kitchen, good outdoor patio space. Very secure and safe. Pool is awesome. A few minor suggestions: would be nice if they had some beach accessories such as umbrella, boggie board, cooler, etc. The electric BBQ provided at the unit is old, gross, and should be replaced. We heard (at the end of our stay) the condo association may provide a gas BBQ upon request. Overall a great stay and we would definitely return !

Hidden gem of Punta Mita

Great stay at Faro de Mita. Family of 4 (kids 9 and 11). Others have mentioned it too but Jay’s condo is truly the best location on the property. We could watch the kids swim from the patio. Walked to the beach multiple times a day and never saw more than 1-2 other families down there. It’s a little rocky but that didn’t stop my kids from spending hours every day in the ocean (water shoes were key). Had a great family surf lesson too. We loved being able to walk into town so easily too - no golf cart required (as is in the “gates” just next door). The condo itself is well appointed and comfortable. We will definitely be back!

This is really the perfect solution. Tidy, well equipped, well thought out rental. The pool is amazing, the view is perfect. It has incredible privacy yet great access to cafés, shops, and restaurants. I will be back!

Perfect escape!

This is the perfect property if you're visiting the PV area. We loved Punta Mita. It was friendly and quaint. We took two day trips - one to PV and one to Sayulita. We were so happy to come back from the crowded craziness to this beautiful, cool condo. There are plenty of great restaurants within walking distance. The owners recommended Mina, which we loved! They were really easy to work with and responded quickly. The property manager was very helpful as well. The pool is amazing and the views are incredible. We looked at many different properties in this area but I'm so glad we decided to stay here.

Great for Families

We loved our time at this condo! It was so easy and safe for our kids. Lovely to be in town and walk to everything but also have the pool/lawn environment. Good beginner surf break right out on the beach in front (not consistent but it was happening for us when the tide started coming back up)!

One of our best vacations ever!!

I can’t say enough amazing things about Kimberly and Jay’s place. I almost don’t want to say anything so that I can keep it as my little secret. The condo was awesome...very well stocked, right next to the best Pool you could ever imagine, in a great location, quiet, safe, great beds...and i could go on! We loved everything, other than when we had to leave. Thanks Kimberly and Jay! We’ll be back!

Wonderful experience

We had a wonderful time at Jay and Kimberly’s condo. The location is great with the pool right outside your doorstep and the beach just a short walk away. The town has all the amenities you need and a car isn’t necessary unless you want to explore other beaches and towns. Condo is very clean and has everything you need for your stay. Communication with the owner and property manager was great. We have traveled and stayed at many properties and this one is at the top in terms of comfort and location. We will be back!

Another great trip to Punta Mita!

My mom stayed at Kimberley & Jays unit. Their ground floor unit is perfect for folks who don’t want stairs and/or risk using the elevator in the event of a power outage (actually happened when a Iguana fried a transformer in town!) Their kitchen had all amenities for my mom to host a Thanksgiving dinner for our family. The patio is great for relaxing and taking in the sights of the bay and pool. The pool is great place to hang and chill. Enjoyed meals at La Pescadora ($$$) Si Senor ($$$), Rosa Restaurant Mexicano ($$), Tacos & Papas ($$) and La Cabana ($) Can’t wait to come back.

Poolside + SUP break = Everyone happy

Faro de Mita was easy to find in our rental car, friendly guard directed us to our private parking spot, right by the surfboard rack. Better than the photos - and the photos look good. Clean and well maintained, groundskeepers keep the property and pool immaculate. Jay was great and responsive to questions. They say this is the best unit in the place, and we agree: pool proximity, views, access...sweet We enjoyed the variety of local restaurants - service was very good. Beach here is fine, better beaches at La Lancha and Libitu for sand, swimming and hanging - thats why we have a car. I loved we had a great, mellow surf break right out front. We checked out Sayulita. It was like going to a dirty, crowded Coney Island and we're staying in Hawaii. Maybe if your out of college and single... Thanks Jay & Kimberly!

There is excellent beginner-to-intermediate surf right in front of our building. Many visitors have learned to surf here. Advanced surfers will also enjoy the long right-break and have easy access to other great breaks, only minutes away on an affordable panga boat ride.
