Fishing trip

We came down from Fredericksburg,VA to do some fishing. The location of the house was prefect. We had a great time, the house accommodating.

Family Friendly

Great vacation home with plenty of room. A short walk to the beach. Swimming pool is beautiful as well as the rear grounds. We will be back next year!

Great time with friends and family!

Nice space for a large group/multiple families - multiple common spaces and TVs, pool, backyard and large kitchen for meal gatherings. Nice easy walk and access to the beach. Colin responded quickly to questions while we were onsite. We would book again!

Great famil beach vaca

House exactly as advertised. Pleanty of room and very clean. Everyone was comfortable and enjoyed the home. Backyard pool area could use some TLC with landscaping and plantings but pool worked great and hot tub as well. Overall a great week!

Comfortable house in great location

My family and I (11 of us altogether) found the house to be spacious and comfortable for our needs. We could spread out, have time to ourselves and be together when we wanted. The location (a short two blocks to the beach) was perfect for us to walk. The backyard with pool was our favorite spot. Would definitely rent again.

Great stay!

Property was very clean, and lots of room for me and my extended family(16). Check in process was very easy, host was very reachable and offered helpful suggestions durring our stay. Easy walk to the beach, we traveled with some elderly that were not up for the walk and parking at the beach access was available. Great location close enough to the shops but far enough away that you dont have all the noise. Nags head fishing peir is real close we went almost every morning. I wouldn't hesitate renting this house again!!

CJ's Hideaway

Loved backyard; heated pool and hot tub were a big plus. Theater room was fun for night time movie; sleeping quarters and mattresses were great but we were surprised that a property of this size did not provide linens; Proximity to beach and to local shops and entertainment was perfect.

Thanks for your kind review. In regards to linens at my properties we recently hired a new cleaning company that provides all linens. That being said your trio was booked before her services were added to the house. Currently all my houses now come with linens provided. Glad you enjoyed the house and hope you can come again!

Fishing trip with church friends

12 men from church went deep sea fishing out of Oregon Inlet this year for the first time. I found this house and thought it was the perfect fit for our group. And it was! Very clean, great location, smooth process and a really nice back yard. Highly recommended!

Beautiful home, room for everyone

Home was more then expected. Has plenty of room for the entire family. Colin was always immediately responsive before, during and after our stay. Only complaint was that dryer wasn’t working, notified Colin and he said he is going to replace. Would 100% stay here again.

Nice place!!

Only issue was paying for a hut tub that didn’t work. Pool was heated and great just disappointed in hot tub. We all were looking forward to using it.

The issue with the hot tub has been resolved. We are sorry it couldnt be fixed during your short stay. The parts store was closed over the holiday weekend. Unfortunately, mechanical issues are sometimes completely out of our control. Apologies for the inconvenience.

Average accomodations

Roomy accomodations however kitchen pots and pans don't accommodate the amount of people you have. (No cutting board or vegetable peeler) if you have to make a meal for 15, it was difficult.

Family vac

This home had everything you could want for the beach and a good variety to entertain kids. The property managers were very responsive every step of the way. Loved the location, and the backyard artificial grass was clutch for kids play. Our only complaint is that the steps and porches were a bit run down. There are several areas that need wood replaced and made us nervous for the kids getting splinters. Also, pool was not very clean (a bit slimey) and main level carpet had pet hair (not very good for a crawling infant). Otherwise we really enjoyed our stay here.

Big place for a large group

Our group had a great time, enjoyed the beach, pool and hot tub. There were some issues with the sliding doors being difficult to open and the house wasn’t as clean as expected. The lower level has one bathroom for 8 guests, so that was inconvenient for getting ready. And the lower level bunk room is actually a pass-through to the theater room so has minimal privacy. The top level is open and spacious and the kitchen was well stocked. The mid level rooms were spacious and comfortable. The laundry is on the second level, which was nice but the dryer takes a long time to dry clothes.

Live for Golf

How do you ensure that 8 mature ladies will have all of the amenities they might want for a golf trip to the Outer Banks? Rent this house. We had a blast playing corn hole, lounging in the hot tub and sharing recipes in the spacious kitchen. Plenty of room for all of us to kick back with a glass of wine and enjoy golf on TV under the glow of the automatic fireplace.

Great family holiday hangout!

We just had a 3-generational family gathering for Thanksgiving that this house was perfect for! Colin, the host was fantastic in responding to all communication in a very timely and effective manner. We found the kitchen well stocked for fixing meals and dining with our group of 12. The bedrooms were all as described with comfortable sleeping. The backyard space was terrific for nice weather recreation including the hot tub and turf space for yard games. Inside, we particularly loved the large dining room table which fit everyone and allowed for lots of game playing and puzzles when not being used for meals. The beach access was a leisurely walk through a quiet neighborhood. Dowdy Park and Jockey's Ridge were also walkable from the house making this an awesome location. We would absolutely stay here again!

Family Fun

Amazing! We had 12 people and a newborn. We enjoyed the heated pool and hot tub just about every night. A whole stock of board games that aren’t advertised were very nice. The large dining table allowed us to all play games and eat food together. Kitchen is however on the third floor and stairs are hard on older joints going up and down so much. The shower water pressure is amazing and response from the owner was immediate when need for questions or any concerns. Spacious backyard allowed for activities with nice seating and all the king sized and full beds were very nice. Everyone got their own room and bed with their own bathroom just about. Having the washer and dryer came in handy just about every night. The walk to the beach was not far. The public access point was right next to a pier. Anything we had not brought such as sugar, trash bags, toilet paper, dishwasher pods, paper towels and soap were all there (potentially left by prior people).

Great family getaway

Close to the beach! Great pool and hot tub. Check in process was very easy and Colin was very responsive to everything we needed House was very family friendly and had a lot of items we needed - pool toys, beach chairs, floats, high chair, beach wagon. The only negative is being on 3 levels with very little kids but they did provide a baby gate!

MDW in OBX

I came here with my extended family for memorial day weekend as my cousin was getting married on the island. For 11 adults all ages 30+ I felt this house was perfect for us. We all had enough space that we were not on top of eachother and the number of king/full beds was beneficial. Unfortunately it rained the entire weekend so we were unable to use the pool or beach and were really stuck inside the entire time. Colin was quick to respond when needed and was a pleasure to work with. The only thing we wish we'd known was the double bed room was a walk through room in order to get to the movie room and other king bed room down stairs, but it didnt end up being an issue for us. We would definitely come back and stay here, with hopefully better weather to fully enjoy it!

Plenty of Room

We had a group of friends get together to celebrate a couple getting married! There was tons of space for everyone to spread out, quick walk to the beach, and the backyard was perfect! The owner was very helpful in getting a few things the cleaners had forgot to us quickly and answering questions throughout the weekend. The pool was very cold, not sure if the heater just wasn’t on or not working. Overall a great house and place to stay!

Best Christmas Ever

Christmas this year was the best ever.Everyone enjoyed staying in this beautiful house.My family couldn’t stop talking about how nice the house was.What a joyous weekend we had!!! We would love to come back again!
