Memorial Day Weekend @ W. Galveston

Excellent house on the bayside with a great view and convenient access. Host was responsive to questions and had helpful suggestions. House was clean and very functional, nice amenities and a good neighborhood. Really enjoyable!

Great experience!

This place is amazing! Very good neighborhood for a family. Awesome bayside views. Communication with owner was great, they were very responsive and helpful. Beach access is right across the road from the neighborhood. You can grill out and enjoy dinner overlooking the bay right from the house. The neighborhood pool was pristine. You can go spend time in town doing all the fun Galveston things and then come back to this little retreat and feel like a local!

Disappointed

House location was perfect! needs a deep cleaning, very dusty with air filters were filty. Upstairs is hard to breathe needing deep cleaning of area including carpet. Need update furnishing as the futons, chairs all look dirty and old. Only bathroom on first floor away from main bedroom. All items you needed for your stay were furnished. We did a good cleaning once we arrived for covid 19. Overall you will love the location as it sits facing the bay and just 3 mins drive on to the beach. Very quiet community.

EXCELLENT

Very quiet neighborhood. Great view over looking the water on the balcony for drinking morning coffee. Community pool was great, except it closes too early and the pool man is grumpy! Access to the beach is wonderful!! Drive onto the beach and park within 20 foot of where you want to camp out for the day. We had an excellent family vacation! Didnt want to leave!

The property is really good, super clean and cozy, ready to enjoy.

The owners are very attentive, fast response, has everything you can need for your trip, smart tvs, internet, very nice kitchen, the best is the VIEW, and the neighborhood very good. Definitely we are going to rent it again!!!

Cute little house on the island

We really loved this little house and would definitely rent it again if you could make just a few changes to increase the comfort. First thing - the bedroom downstairs really should have an actual bed in it instead of a futon. The futon is extremely uncomfortable and it was tough to sleep on but it's the only room right next to the bathroom. The fan also needs to have the blades tightened because it swings wildly when it's on and the fan pull clicks against the light loudly so we couldn't use it. The stairs should have a little carpet or texture installed on it. Slippery feet on those stairs could easily cause a child or adult to fall. The rest of the house was perfect. Kitchen set up was fantastic and the ocean views are spectacular. We would definitely stay here again if you could make just a few adjustments.

MERMERAZING

The house was so cozy, and even though is small it was very comfortable we were 5 and the size was perfect, only one bathroom and 3 women who like to spend time doing makeup. so yes its perfect for a party of 5, also the view, it was a picture worth view, and the neighbors they were friendly and welcoming. the beach is just accross the main street so what 5 min in car? we walk all the way just to make the adventure, and the shore is so near that you can walk all night if preffered. oh and by the way for all those sandy situations there is an outside shower that will keep the sand away from the insides.

Really convenient for us as we were visiting family that has a house nearby! We didn't really use the kitchen at all since we based out of our family's house, but it seemed to have what we would need. Plenty of linens, etc... really everything we needed! Very comfortable house! It was a bit outdated, but very true to the advertisement. Listing shows 3 bedrooms plus 2 futons in the living room, but the maximum occupancy is 6 and we had to seek special approval to have 6 adults and 2 babies in pack n plays... so keep that in mind as you're looking!

Great 4th of July

We had to go to Galveston for a wedding and decided to stay for the 4th of July holiday. The home was clean and had everything we needed. The owners were so kind and replied to questions and requests almost immediately. The beds were comfy and the view of the bay was spectacular. We were surrounded by fireworks!
