We're sorry to hear that your stay did not meet your expectations. However, we would like to clarify several points in your review to ensure future guests have accurate information. The home is represented with current photos, and while décor preferences are subjective, we strive to accurately portray the property and maintain it to a high standard. Regarding the smoke detector, all required smoke and carbon monoxide detectors in the home were fully operational throughout your stay. The device shown in your photos was an older detector that had already been removed from service and was awaiting disposal. It was not an active safety device, and our inspection confirmed that all installed detectors were functioning properly. We also conducted a thorough inspection after your report of "rodent droppings" on the bed. No evidence of rodents was found anywhere in the home. What was reported as droppings was determined to be small pieces of burnt cedar debris, not rodent feces. As an additional precaution, we still had the property inspected to ensure there were no pest issues. When your concerns were raised, we worked with both you and Vrbo throughout the case review. While we understand you were dissatisfied, we did not request or require a positive review in exchange for compensation. Refund requests are evaluated based on the facts of each situation and the policies of the booking platform. We value honest feedback and continuously work to improve our properties. At the same time, we believe it's important that reviews accurately reflect the circumstances so that future guests can make informed decisions.
