Beautiful condo on the Oceanside of Girasol Sur Condominiums. You can watch the amazing sunsets and hear the ocean each night from our deck right off the bedroom and living room areas. Guests saw whales from our deck in December! There is one room with two large beds, (1 King and 1 Queen with Pillowtop comfort mattresses). There is another room for the TV, DVD area with cable TV and a sofa couch with queen mattress. We have all new bedding and a brand new sofa couch in the living room. There is Wi-fi year round. The Dining room table seats 6 and the full kitchen for cooking area. Features 2 bathrooms -One bathroom has a large tub, vanity and toilet, with security rails too, and the other bathroom has a shower, vanity and toilet - very clean. We just installed great new air-conditioning units on both sides that are really cold, and have ceiling fans in each room with remotes. Kitchen has full-sized refrigerator and halogen stove with plenty of dishes to serve with and cook your complete meals.
There is an awesome restaurant down by the pool, they have both Mexican and popular American foods, and there is a store in the lobby area that has about anything you might need for Sundry items. Condo features WI-fi year round. There are 2 TV's and a DVD player. The pool is lightly heated in the winter months. There are two beach areas with white sand. One beach is great for boogie boarding and skim boards. The other side is super for beach, volleyball, and snorkeling, and swimming . We are members of the laundry club, so washer and dryer facilities are available for signup at the front desk for a two hour block of time. Front desk checks guests in and out- the condo and general areas are safe with 24/7 security. We have never had a problem. if you have a Rent-A-Car, there is free parking out front. The buses also pick up in front of the lobby every 20 minutes and they’re about $.50 to ride into town and are very convenient. You can go from one end of town to the other using buses, or you can take a taxi for about $13 from one end of town to the other. We have a coffee maker and it’s pictured with all the rest of the condo photos. If you need to know the type of coffee maker we have. There is also a microwave, and toaster oven. We have a full fridge. We are located 3 floors up from the pool deck area. We believe it’s the best location in the whole complex!! We invite you to come stay with us!

Relaxing time at Girasol Sur Dec 7-16

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Kimberly's condo. The unit is comfortable and well stocked. Photos are accurate and the view is just beautiful. Kimberly was helpful, especially at check in where we had a slight glitch which she quickly fixed for us (thank you!). All in all a great place to stay, we'll be back for sure. Thank you!

Excellent!

Thank you Kimberly for a wonderful property. Our family of 3 stayed at this property for 10 days and did not want to leave. The condo itself was clean and spacious. The kitchen was well equipped and we were able to use it to prepare at least one meal a day. It was obvious that the building g itself is well maintained as every day we saw staff cleaning the property and pool. The location is amazing! You are literally just steps away from the most beautiful, clean white sand beach. There is a mini mart on-site that we used to stock our fridge and we enjoyed the on-site restaurant many times. Please note that this is in a quiet area…no night clubs are close by. Also, the on-site restaurant only takes cash and the closest atm we could find was back in Downton PV. We hope to return one day!

Beautiful Sunsets!

We stayed at this condo for 2 weeks. Everything worked well, it was comfortable and the balconies are perfect! Kimberly was very helpful when we had questions. The ocean constantly provided entertainment from whales and dolphins to various boats going by. We will stay again! Thank you Kimberly.

best family vaca

It's a beautiful and spacious room and on top of that, the location is amazing. Everything you need is right there. A little mini-mart on the ground floor, sea-side restaurant with great food and great service, and super snorkeling right off the beach. Then grab your drink of choice and enjoy the sunset from the room's porch or the beach, the pool, so many choices. Every day is the best day ever.

Can’t wait to come back!

Our family of three spent three nights in this wonderful condo. The check in process was easy. Communication with the owner was great-we had some problems connecting to Wi-Fi, and she contacted us immediately and got us taken care of. There were plenty of towels, comfortable beds. We didn’t stay long enough to use the kitchen much but enjoyed the restaurant. Food and service was awesome! Would definitely return-only for a longer stay next time😊

This was supposed to be an easy breezy get away weekend for my family and I to celebrate a special occasion. I had difficulty getting in touch with the host, and had to call in to VRBO to get the host on the phone. I was told by the host following our initial conversation that the property was double booked. I was then told that we could stay at her father`s place. It was further communicated to me that the father`s property was renovated and quite nice. When we arrived and opened the door to the room it smelled terrible, like moldy mildew. The place had not been cleaned in a while, and was dirty. The bed linens had not been changed. The furniture was falling apart, and the overall maintenance of the place was not up to par. We were told that we could change rooms the next day. The room was not ready until after 4pm (regular check in 2:30pm). Until we got into the room and situated ourselves again, it was after 5pm. We missed out on hours we could have been spending relaxing and enjoying ourselves. A less than desirable experience. I will not be using booking accomodations through Expedia again any time soon!

Upgrades Would Be Nice

Our initial problem was resolved quickly when we contacted the owner. The cleaner had not finished - bed was not made up and dirty laundry was in the bedroom floor. We arrived tired and hungry so it was not what we wanted to see. The cleaner arrived within 15 minutes and finished her job. On the positive side: Condo is in a good location, there's a nice beach at the condo and the onsite restaurant was very convenient and real good. The main bathroom was nicely done (master bathroom could use an upgrade.) The condo could use cosmetic upgrades: kitchenware, utensils, bedding, towels, and drapes. Some of the furniture was a bit worn looking. The condo is only a few floors above the pool so expect some noise when windows are open. We would stay at the condo again but it wouldn't be our first choice.

My husband and I stayed at this property for a week in February of '20. Overall, it was okay. It is an older building, and has a lot of long time tenants. For the most part, it is an older crowd. However, everyone was friendly and upbeat. The check in process was okay, though I was amused that we had to wear an identification bracelet throughout our stay. That, to indicate that we were allowed to be on the property I guess. It felt somewhat institutional, but we played along. An onsite convenience store is small but well stocked. The building is located between two great beaches. There is an good onsite restaurant. The staff is very friendly and helpful. It is a somewhat remote location, which has it's pluses and minuses. It's quiet, but other than the beaches, aren't any places to walk. A bus stop directly in front of the building is convenient, and there is always a taxi available. The condo itself is dated, but comfortable enough. It could use some freshening. (New paint, and replacement of some of the furniture.) The bed was a good one. There is an overabundance of old sheets and towels in an armoire in the bedroom. You are cautioned though, to take your own beach towels if you go to the beach. It was cramped for us in the kitchen. You couldn't open the refrigerator door completely without hitting a cabinet. Counter space was minimal. The pots, and pans were a mishmash collection, and need to be replaced. The whole kitchen and pantry cupboard could use a deep clean, and reorganizing. The bathrooms are cramped, but we liked having two of them. The view was great and we enjoyed sitting on the deck and taking in the views. In spite of some of the short comings of this property, it grew on us. We have a gentle appreciation of the condo.

Great Condo! Amazing View!

Kimberly was awesome! Great condo! We had a last minute adventure south of PV so Kimberly let us book super short notice. The check in couldn’t have gone smoother. Front door staff had us in our condo in minutes. Even had a door man bring our luggage to our room and show us around. Beds are very comfortable With plenty of space for my me, my wife and our 3 kids. They take very good care of their pool. They were taking samples and adjusting chemicals to keep it fresh. Really can’t recommend this place enough. Wish we could have spent more time there. Not as far south of PV as you think. 10 peso bus ride gets you right to the Malcon and the bus stop is directly in front of the condo lobby. Big thank you to Kimberly and all the staff! Go to the little restaurant and Visit Miguel. Great service!. Great guy!

We had a great week here. There are so many restaurants and beaches to see and not enough time. Great location. Restaurant is good. Friendly staff. Great little store on location was very handy. Pictures were what we got...no surprise. Thanks for a great week. Hope to be back. Gracias.

Everything you need is there

We had a great time at the condo. Every thing you need is there. Very convenient having the restaurant, bar and mini store on the property. Good bus or taxi service to town is just in front on condo. Great place to stay if you don’t want to be right in town.

best location!!!!

Wonderful location a short bus ride (or taxi) south of downtown! Large balcony with great views of the ocean...left the sliding glass doors open (never needed to use the AC) and slept listening to the ocean waves. Onsite restaurant (cash only) - ate breakfast there daily. Small store onsite for basics. The pool was nice and cleaned every morning, access from property to 2 beaches (nice sand and good swimming), front desk staff helpful; all staff was very welcoming. This condo association has a Mexican feel with open walkways; lots of natural flowering plants on the grounds. The condo has the necessities (2 bathrooms is nice), kitchen appeared stocked but we did not use, beds comfortable. Suggestions: taxi to Boca and then water taxi to Yelapa for the day; we went to the Malecon every evening. I have been to PV many times and highly recommend this condo!!! Great relaxing time.

Make sure to have Miguel in the restaurant make Mexican Coffee for you. Terrific show and an awesome after dinner drink. Don’t miss the Mismaloya Grill (amazing sunset views and food) and El Jacalito for seafood and lobster away from the hustle of PV.

Fabulous!

This spot is everything the reviews say and more. Beautiful condo for a couple. Mismaloya and Boca are two small towns worth visiting by bus (10 pesos per person) and there are stops all along the way to visit. We ate at La Kliff and highly recommend this place for a sunset dinner. Awesome experience all around.

Really Enjoyable

We really loved our stay, the beaches, the pool and our condo all were clean and enjoyable (equipped with everything we needed). It was very quiet and slow paced, so if you are looking for action, this might not work for you. It was just what we were looking for! While the service at the restaurant was great the food was just okay. The happy hour seemed to make this feel like no big deal. Live entertainment every other night was a nice little bonus. We'd book again for sure.

Stunning view in nice condo building.

Location was fantastic with a quick cab ride or Orange bus (8 pesos) into town. Having a book of information in the condo would be super helpful. The WiFi info was written on a cardboard box up high in the pantry. Had to email owner to find it. Air conditioning worked great in condo and bed was comfortable. Restaurant on site was good but having a copy of menu in condo would have been helpful. Building next door having major construction with loud jackhammers going all day and sometimes at night. Also loud banging near condo with staff doing maintenance on balconies pretty distracting. Weather made ocean swimming/snorkeling unsafe. What I learned was to plan a trip back a few months from now and hopefully the weather and construction will improve!! Overall a great condo.

Beautiful beach, nice condo facilities

This beach is great, small and very picturesque with great access from the condo building. The pool and restaurant are also nice with abundant seating and an added bonus is the little store in the condo building making a trip to a large grocery store unnecessary unless you need something very specific or will be staying a long time. The condo is well-stocked with lots of necessities like salt and pepper, paper towels, etc. Our one small issue is that the windows/sliding doors/curtains could use some attention. Glass is missing in the windows so that the noise coming from a nearby wedding one night was loud. The sliders and curtains are older and hard to operate without a bit of muscle. However, this is a small problem and the unit is as advertised and the beach is the best in PV.

My wife and I have stayed at Gira Sol Sur for over ten years. Just a wonderful place. You have everything you need in this beautiful condo. You don't have to leave. Great restaurant, pool. You have to have breakfast as the waves come crashing in just feet from your table!!

Best accommodation ever!

I spent 2 weeks with my best friend in this wonderful condo last month. It is everything and more that is shown in the photos. From being spotlessly clean and so well equipped with everything you need, to the most amazing view and wonderful staff whom I have come to know well from my many stays at Girasol in the past. Hi, I'm Kimberly, the condo owner with two partners. We know you will love Puerto Vallarta! It is our very favorite place to get away and rejuvenate. We have owned it for over 20 years. My kids (4 sons and 2 daughters) enjoy the beach, surf, pool and fresh bread and cheese daily. The location of our condo could not be better. Tropical paradise!! You are away from all the crowds and tourists of the downtown area where it is more flat and tons of traffic. This is only about 10-15 minutes away from the downtown area and it is right on the oceanfront with tropical foliage on the back side. We also keep it very renovated and nice for our guests. There is a great restaurant, a small convenience store, bus pickups every 20 minutes in front, and 24/7 security. There is a front desk staff that is great who issues the keys and we have internet to the condo. There is a laundry facility that we are a part of the laundry club on the mezzanine level. You simply sign up for your 2 hour block of time at the front desk and you can wash your clothes with your own detergent. They have a band on Mondays and Fridays over the holidays playing in the restaurant for dancing and ambience which is great to enjoy. You have a code to go down the 4 steps to the beach and back up again so we are right there!! It could not be better!! The sandy white beaches are perfect for boogie boarding and skimmer boards on one side and on the other side of the pool, the beaches are more calm for snorkeling and beach volley ball and swimming. We hope you will want to return to stay with us every year like so many of our other guests do.

Internet connection in room (bring your own laptop or computer etc.), and TV/DVD, pool, rec room, convenience store in the lobby, bus pick up in front, taxi always waiting, beach for surfing on one side, and calmer on the other side of the pool area for snorkeling and swimming, white beaches, and a great, reasonably priced restaurant with a bar at the end of the pool area. Taxis also pick up out front and its only about $12 US to town. It has it all right there so you won't even want to leave to go anywhere else. Come enjoy a fantastic vacation spot with a spectacular view for photos and wedding shots!
