Welcome to a relaxed coastal retreat in the heart of Oxnard’s Silver Strand Beach—designed for memorable stays, easy comfort, and classic Southern California beach vibes. Just 175 steps from the beach (~8 houses), this fully equipped home blends vintage charm (built in 1956) with thoughtful modern upgrades for a comfortable stay.

The house is adjacent to US Naval Base Ventura County. It’s 45 minutes from Santa Barbara, and about an hour from Los Angeles (1 hr 20 min from LAX) & has the best surfing! Check out our Travel Guide for things to do in the area: https://www.strandnsea.com/travelguide

Strand N Sea is a charming beach bungalow perfect for families, couples, and small groups of six or fewer, tucked away in a quiet neighborhood just minutes from the shore. Designed for relaxation and fun, this 2-bedroom, 1-bath vacation home blends comfort with everything you need to fully enjoy beach life. If you work remotely we have portable desks and WiFi.

Spend your days riding the provided bikes, catching waves with surfboards, flying kites, or playing spikeball and volleyball. After a day in the sun, unwind in the hot tub or gather around the fire pits to keep warm and share stories under the stars. Inside, you’ll find an Xbox and a selection of board games for cozy nights in.

Strand N Sea offers onsite parking for two vehicles. For added peace of mind, security cameras are located in the carport and front patio areas.

Whether you’re seeking adventure, relaxation, or a little of both, Strand N Sea is your perfect coastal getaway.

We had a great stay! The location was perfect! Very close to the beach, which made it easy to enjoy the water whenever we wanted. The property was extremely family-friendly, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a relaxing trip.The hosts were awesome! Friendly, responsive, and made sure we had a great experience from start to finish. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a family-friendly place near the beach.

Our overall stay was phenomenal. The hosts were great. They were very prompt on any type of communication. It was very clean and had everything to fit our needs , the beach was walking distance from the house, making it very convenient. My family and I enjoyed our time and definitely will come back.!!

We booked 2 days of our 14 day Cali trip at The Strand & Sea. We realized almost immediately we had made a mistake. We could have spent the entire time in this lovely home. Every detail was covered, we wanted for nothing! The property is a half block to the beach. The shed held beach chairs AND a heavy duty wagon, which was necessary given the soft sand on the beach. One nite while getting ready to see the sunset, I thought I was hearing seals bark. Sure enough when we got to the beach there were at least 50 seals playing in the surf & napping in the sand!While the pictures of the home were accurate, they didn't show the amount of space in each room. This home has tons of floor space. And clean, I have never stayed in a property so clean!But one of my favorite features were the 2 outdoor patios. The front courtyard is perfect for relaxing with your morning coffee. The back patio is beautifully landscaped with comfortable seating. Should we return to Cali in the future, we will definitely be booking The Strand & Sea again! Thank you for sharing your lovely home!

We had another wonderful week at Silverstrand Beach! As returning guests, we can honestly say this place never disappoints. The location is perfect—just a short walk to the beach—and the backyard is absolutely amazing. It's so relaxing and has a beautiful tropical feel, making it the perfect place to unwind after a day at the beach.The home had everything we needed for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Thank you, Allison and Rob, for being such wonderful hosts and for creating such a welcoming place to vacation.We always look forward to coming back, and we'll definitely be returning again!

This is a great property. The back lanai with the hot tub and seating with the fire place were amazing. It is just a quick 4 minute walk to the beach and very close to where our Anacapa tour boat left the dock. Our kids also loved the use of the bikes. Hosts were great! Would rent this property again!
