Joseph, "Overall an amazing cabin" sounds like a wonderful review. Thank you for your feedback, and happy 30th birthday to your wife! We are glad you enjoyed the birthday package decoration surprise, the convenient early check-in, and our quiet, private location. However, we are deeply concerned to hear about your experience with pests - we have brought out our professional pest control team to thoroughly inspect and treat the property, and our housekeeping team has and will continue to re-sanitize all areas to maintain our high level of guest satisfaction. While our cabins are nestled in a natural mountain environment where local wildlife is active, finding evidence of pests inside the home is not to our standard of cleanliness. We completely understand why this was stressful for your wife and newborn, and we sincerely apologize for the impact it had on her birthday weekend. We also appreciate your notes regarding the seasonal lake levels affecting the dock. We do inform guests that lake levels do fluctuate throughout the year and typically at the end of summer (Sept and Oct) lake levels are far lower in this area. We will use your comments to make immediate necessary updates and improvements to this well loved cabin. We wish you and your family the very best an will be contacting you directly.
