Great location, missing a couple of things

We had good accomodations, for our needs and a good location. It was an off season weekend, being it was after labor day, so crowds at Buccaneer Bay were light, which we also appreciated. We were only missing trashbags, toilet paper and a couple of ligh bulbs for the deck.

This house was perfect for what we wanted for the weekend. It was spacious inside, large kitchen, easy to move around in. Dinning table was large enough to hold a crowd. The outside dining area was great. When we stayed it happened to be during the Ozark Bike Week. We were a little concerned that it might be noisy, to our surprise it wasn’t at all. The crowd at captain Ron’s is far enough that we enjoyed a relaxing time at the house. And speaking of Captain Ron’s it’s close enough to walk over and grab a bite of their great food! We absolutely cannot wait to visit this house again!

When we walked in, there was a terrible odor. The house itself, the upper level, which was the only level we had access to, was not terribly dirty. It was a little dusty, and the bbq grill was dirty with no way to clean it, & the shower did not work, The listing said walkout access to the beach, but we had to go out the door down the sidewalk down the hill to the beach which meant we had to go up that hill every time as well with all of our stuff from the beach and through the house to put our stuff out on the balcony to dry. The beach is completely covered with goose poop. We could hardly find a place to put our feet to walk down to the water. That was day number one. On the morning of day number two as we sat on the balcony and observed an attendant start to clean the beach. We were so happy until we saw what he did with the waste which was to push it directly into the water where people would walk into swim, lay in the water, or play. This wasn’t just a little bit of goose poop, but an enormous and unacceptable amount to be pushed into the swimming area water. Lake Oasis Management refused to give any type of refund to us because we stayed the 2nd night. We checked out early the following morning. We won’t be back to that property nor any property managed by them again. I gave it two stars because the beds were nice and they were comfortable, the kitchen and bathroom were stocked, this was literally the worst stay I have ever had.
