Keith was an excellent host. This place was the perfect place to stay for a solo trip. It was a perfect location, and just a few yards from the ferry drop off. I really enjoyed the oven view in the mornings & I appreciate the easy access to the restaurant on the first floor. The food was amazing! The gentleman at the reception desk was so helpful. He helped me with accessing the internet & getting access to a golf cart so I could explore the island. I would definitely stay here again.Keith, thanks again for allowing me to stay at your home!

I couldn’t recommend this stay enough. It truly felt like we hit the jackpot with this gorgeous home. My partner and I went on our 5 year anniversary and everything was perfect. The communication with the host was prompt and seamless. We were in the heart of everything, close to the Aki convenience store and got to wake up and come home to the sound of the ocean daily. Thank you so much for making our anniversary trip perfect. Already looking forward to our next stay!

We really enjoyed our stay at this quiet location on the north end of the island. Easily walkable to Playa Norte and all the restaurants and shops, but less busy/crowded. We had one small issue with the AC not working and leaking water our first night, but they promptly fixed it the next morning. The room had everything we needed - comfortable bed, kitchen was stocked with all needed appliances, plenty of towels, etc. Beautiful sunrise views from the bedroom window or sliding doors.

Met all expectations

We were thrilled with the reviews and the view from the balcony. Of course our expectations were high. The Casita was everything we hoped for. Our experience was amazing. Within walking distance to the beach, shops and restaurants. We are already considering another stay here. The onsite staff were visible and friendly. Loved it.

Incredible VRBO

We really enjoyed our stay Casita Xapala. The view of the Caribbean Sea is unmatched. We really did not want to leave. The unit was spotless and even had housekeeping. It is tucked away in a quiet area with only a 2 minute walk to where all of restaurants are.

We were ready to book again after 2 days

We had a wonderful time in this incredible property. Unfortunately there was a day that was rainy but we didn't care because the condo was so comfy and we could watch the ocean all day. The staff was incredible, the location was perfect. The only problem we had was that the address was listed was spelled wrong and we had to ask several people where it was. Minor, minor hiccup, everything was amazing.

Beautiful unobstructed ocean view

We loved the apartment! Having never been to the island, we were VERY happy to have our place be on the quiet side of the island but still within a short walk to the craziness- ferry, north beach, shops and tons of restaurants. The view was beautiful and the apartment had everything we needed. I would definitely stay here again.

Great Place

This was our second time staying here and it was as good as it was the first time. Great views, superb location for going to the beach and restaurants, as well as the ferry. Staff was friendly and helpful. We'd definitely stay here the next time we come to Isla as long as there's a room available!

Great place

The property was perfect! The location was centrally located to all of the shops, restaurants, and beaches. The only thing I would change is the shower head. It was less desirable but an easy fix. We would definitely book again.

Everything about this stay was wonderful! We got in late at night to the property and there were no issues. Smooth check in. The room was great! Neat, clean, and in the perfect location. Everything we needed was available in the room and whatever was not in the room was a just a few minutes walk. Literally everything was just a few minutes walk. The ferry, playa norte, shops, and food. Highly recommend. Great place to stay on a beautiful and friendly island.

Good location but has its issues

Easy walk from Ferry. Very clean and big balcony and good proximity to restaurants and shopping. Extremely difficult to shut sliding glass door from outside as no handle. Needs a new shower head. Regardless, the major reason I will not stay here again is the loud music that goes on until 10:30-11. I believe it is from a small roller coaster a few doors down. Completely ruins sitting outside and/or going to bed prior to it FINALLY shutting down.

an absolute perfect stay

I loved my Xalapa casita!!! It was met all expectations. The pictures are not misleading.....it was just as I was expecting. Instructions were so clear and helpful. As I arrived on the ferry I found the maleteros (gentlemen who will take your luggage for a small fee/tip). we walked just a few blocks to the Villas San Miguel. The walk was so short that I felt a little embarrassed I didn't walk my own luggage. The locations is perfect. So close to everything yet very private and peaceful. I was a bit early so I contacted Keith and he helped me get myself situated. The casita was not just any ole hotel room. It was charming, cozy, and comfortable. The staff helped me arrange a Golf Cart rental to explore the island. The terrace lent unobstructed ocean views of the Sunrise. The Bed is crisp, clean, and comfortable. My family was staying elsewhere and were frankly a little jealous. There were more than enough beach towels for enjoying the dreamy beaches which are just a 15min walk. Even closer was the center of town (restaurants, bars, shopping) check out the aguachile at Oceans and the happy hour at Beerholics. I was so pleased. it was a wonderful experience. I would ABSOLUTELY rebook this place on my next trip to Isla!

Safe, clean, quiet, and comfortable

Our Xalapa Casita was everything we wanted it to be! Finishes are older, but it was clean and the bed is super comfy. Being south of Punta Norte, the property is very quiet. We were provided drinking water and coffee, as well as other basic essentials. Everything else could be found at the nearby Super Aki or at Chedraui (think Walmart) for a $15 taxi ride round trip. We were glad we didn't rent a golfcart for the week as everything in El Centro is within walking distance. We rented a golf cart for one day to cruise around the island and visit Punta Sur and that was plenty for us. The staff is friendly and helpful but stays out of your hair. The pool is lovely and we usually had it all to ourselves. The best part was morning coffee on the balcony! Keith is communicative and easy to work with. You can avoid the VRBO fee by booking directly through his website Isla Dreams. If we go back to Isla Mujeres we will definitely stay here!

Ocean Breezes

We really enjoyed our stay at Villa San Miguel. The location was just wonderful and within short walking distance to everything the North end has to offer. The amenities at Villa San Miguel were perfect; clean rooms, cold AC, lovely swimming pools for the evening or stay in lounging days. We will definitely be back and hope to bring other friends. This place would be perfect for several couples as they have multiple quaint units to choose from. We can’t wait to come back.

Great property

We had a great stay at Villas San Miguel in Xalapa. The view was great, right on the malecon which was never crowded at all, just enough foot traffic to make it interesting. The bed was very comfortable, and we are picky about beds. It has everything you need to cook a meal if you wanted although we choose to eat out every day, but the microwave is great for reheating all the leftovers. We will be back sometime for sure.

Another great stay, we will rent again

This is our third stay at Villas San Miguel, this time at Casita Xalapa. The floor plan is more open and a little smaller than Casitas Puebla and Tampico and we loved it just the same for 2 people. The ocean front location is superb and we loved being in the town center (walking distance to supermarket and restaurants) while being on a quiet corner of it. Our unit had a balcony overlooking the malecon (great for morning walks) and the crashing waves. The sound, which we enjoy, is constant, so if you like a super quiet sleep this ocean front unit might no be for you. The unit is very clean (we appreciated the every other day cleaning and change of linens), the kitchen had what we needed to cook and a water dispenser with drinking water which saved us from buying bottled water. The unit has overall good lighting, plenty of outlets, the king bed was comfortable and the bed and bathroom linens were of good quality. The shower had plenty of water. In this unit, though, the pressure was uneven likely because of sea mist corrosion of shower head, so a replacement would be great. Overall we enjoyed our stay and plan to rent again from Keith. Communication with host was very good.

Beautiful views & perfect location

My husband and I have been to Isla many times and stayed all over the island but this is by far are favorite location. Its clean, the staff is great, close to everything and has wonderful views. We can’t wait to go back.

Isla Trip

My wife and I have traveled to Isla Mujeres many times. We have stayed on North Beach, Punta Sur and in between. This by far has been the best location for us. We look forward to staying again in the future.
