From the moment you set foot in this wonderful multi-level detached home in our gated community, you will be awestruck by the panoramic ocean views and designer upgrades throughout. This home offers an upside-down floor plan, so the large open living areas and attached lanai are afforded incredible coastline views and natural sunlight throughout the day. The downstairs features a large master suite with a king bed, private patio and ensuite bathroom with a shower, jacuzzi soaking tub and walk-in closet. If you must work while you stay, take advantage of high speed WiFi throughout, office desk and laser printer. The two secondary bedrooms are also downstairs and offer queen beds and a central full bathroom to share. For your comfort, the home has central air conditioning and heating throughout. The decor is modern yet beachy, making this the perfect place to truly experience Southern California beach living. Great ocean views. The living area was very spacious. The dining room table was very large easily meeting our hosting needs. Having use of the garage was great especially when bringing in groceries.

Home Away from Home

We have stayed in many vacation rentals across the world and this is by far one of our favourites! Steve was extremely helpful and easy to communicate with and the listing and photos don't do this place justice. The location was excellent - while we had a car, we also easily walked or used the trolley to many local restaurants, beaches, walking/running trails. The house was extremely spacious and comfortable for our family of 4 adults and 4 kids and so well stocked and equipped in terms of being able to cook meals at home and enough equipment for us for the beach and pool - towels, chairs, toys and coolers. We would definitely recommend this place for the location, views, convenience, comfort and provisions, we would love to come back again!

Beautiful House at a Great Location

This house is the best VRBO that we have ever rented. It is a spacious and beautifully decorated 3 bed two level home with ocean view. It's in a quiet, gated community. It is a very well stocked home and kitchen. It was very comfortable for a 6 week stay. We'll rent it again next year.

Pictures don’t do this place justice

The home was much larger than we expected. Great safe neighborhood. Loved the community pool, hot tub and tennis court. So many things within walking distance. The home had everything you need including beach towels. Best of both worlds heated pool and so close to the beaches. I would definitely stay here again.

Great location

This rental was well equipped for a Thanksgiving holiday. Location is convenient and views are outstanding. The property was well thought out and met our needs for a great vacation.

An absolutely beautiful, comfortable home with amazing views and conveniently located to everything!

My wife and I brought our kids (9 & 10 yr olds) to experience California Beaches and share our love of live music. The house was super comfortable, clean, spacious and everything you needed to feel at home (eg- all cooking, grilling, and cleaning needs). Quiet & safe gated community, nice swimming pool with hot tub. We are already sad to be leaving and look forward to returning in the future. The host was super friendly and accommodating and very responsive.

Bright and cheerful

This was a very nice property in a great quiet location. Plenty of sunlight and decorated in bright cheery colors. Everything was fully stocked with additional necessities in the garage if needed. I would definitely recommend this property to others and stay there again myself.

Ocean view in Dana Point

The house was perfect for our family of 5. Excellent location near Dana Point Harbor and restaurants in the Lantern District. We mad great use of the pool table with evening billards tournaments. The view is outstanstanding. The owners keep the house very well stocked with all the conveniences of home. I would definitely recommend this home for a family trip to Orange County. The host is very gracious and responsive.

Wonderful stay

The house is wonderfully decorated and the view of the ocean is as great as it appears in the pictures on VRBO. The house is equipped with everything you need, including bedding, towels and cooking supplies. It felt more like staying in someone’s home then a vacation rental. A lot of this has to do with the owner who couldn’t be more responsive and helpful. This is the best VRBO we have stayed in. The only reason that we did not give the property 5 stars for cleanliness is because the garage really should be cleaned out.

Perfect Getaway

-We couldn't check in until 3:30pm because the house was still being cleaned but since we are in the midst of Covid, I was grateful. -Any questions I had about the house the owner was quick to follow up with me. -The house was clean and we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay including beach & pool accessories. -The pool is within walking distance, heated and clean. -All three beaches are within 5 - 10 minutes of driving. -My husband needed to work during our stay. Wifi was great and the house had all the office supplies we needed including a printer. - Since I am a mom of 3 and I need to clean wherever we stay, and we were at the beach everyday, I would only ask they have a vacuum that works. I love to leave the property I rent the way it was when we arrived. Thank you for a quarantined vacation that was clean, safe and FUN!

Excellent Seaside Family Vacation

A well-appointed, very well-provisioned three bedroom two bath detached condo on two levels. The unit is located about half a mile in the land from the ocean and 270 feet above sea level, so that there is a fine view of Dana point and the Pacific in the distance. The upper level has a lanai (Hawaiian for outdoor deck or patio) from which we enjoyed coffee in the morning and cocktails in the evening. The south orange county coast has a somewhat Mediterranean feel and we had a great time shopping, sightseeing (the San Diego Zoo is about an hour away) and eating. We would rent here again

Amazing Ocean View Home

This was our third year to stay at this lovely home and it gets better every year! The home is so well stocked with everything you need for a perfect beach vacation down to boogie boards and beach chairs. The kitchen has absolutely everything you need to prepare a fabulous meal and enjoy it watching the sunset from the patio. Also a plus is the gated community with a great swimming pool and tennis courts. We will return here every year!

We fell in love in this pretty and ocean view home

First of all we are a family with three old children. We did search for weeks for a clean modern home with an ocean view in Orange County. We found it and reserve it and we were glad that the Owner gave us 4 nights free for 4 weeks stay. When we checked in late June 2018, it was almost the same in the photos in the HomeAway site. In general it is in a great clean condition with a front patio full of green and flowers. The house has all the cleaning supplies you can imagine. It also has expresso machine with its free capsules we enjoyed every morning. We asked the owner for a boiling kettle and next morning he shipped to the house by Amazon. I was surprised he responded quickly to our request though the kitchen has a source of boiling water .. so grateful and supportive owner. My wife and the children liked the decorations of the house. The TV has many choices including direct TV channel. He even put a printer for business visitors. I really liked it because I need to print few papers for our summer trip. My son and I enjoyed the pool and Jacuzzi in the gated community. My wife liked the location and wondering if we can return back in the next summer. The only few things we like to improve: if a few cabinets in the kitchen get freed up for our stuff to put in, extra cleaning of the kitchen tools and drawers are appreciated and the third room has a queen single bed made my two girls ( 21 and 17 years old) wished if it turns into two single beds. Thanks again Steve and we are looking forward to stay again in your home in the future.

Beautiful, relaxing, and comfortable!

This house is BEAUTIFUL! Comfortable beds and a well stocked kitchen made it feel like home but the view was the main attraction. This was the perfect place to relax and recouperate while taking a "working" vacation. Thank you, Steve, for sharing your beautiful house on HomeAway.

One of our best holidays ever

If've been in the USA together with my whole family (my wife and two boy's (teenagers)) for 5 weeks. At our last week, we've been in Dana Point and rented the great vacation home of Steve (Hargrove). The coast, the relaxing people and finally the fabulous house were the reasons, that we could end our vacation trip as our highlight. The house has everything what you need, and even more. It's big enough for up to 10 people. Modern, clean and complete equipped with everything what you need for a careless vacation. We all want to say THANK YOU to Steve. Heavenly Abode!

We recently enjoyed our second stay in this lovely Dana Point home. As expected, everything was perfect. The updated decor is very cheery, the beds amazingly comfortable and the kitchen well equipped. Not to mention the beautiful ocean view! Our hosts were so gracious and accommodating. We are looking forward to our next stay!

Perfect

This is our second time in this vacation rental and me and my family enjoyed every bit of it. The location is perfect close to all convinient stores, beaches and shops and in a perfect neighborhood and the home was fully equipped and had all the necessities and we didnt have to worry about anything. The host Steve was very down to earth and it was very easy to get into contact with him and he made sure that we have the best stay here.
