Amazing, Family-Friendly Lake House

We have three kids between 5 and 8 yrs old and this was our second time staying at Stan & Karen’s lake house, and we really enjoyed it. The house has everything you need and the beach area with a grill, fire pit, kayaks and paddle board equips you to have hours of adventures on Lake Wylie. It’s always hard to leave, but we have great memories and hope to return again in the future.

Very unique and cool property on Lake Wylie

I don’t think I’ve ever seen it such a unique home. It was situated up off the lake, but easy access with a nice walkway so you don’t feel like you’re stepping near where snakes could be lol the house was quite large and very eclectically decorated. The owners were very nice and stayed in contact when some of my guests parked on the wrong spot. Would definitely say again.

The property was beautiful. The house was spacious and they had everything you need. It felt like a home away from home. The lake access was beautiful. There is a steep walk to the lake but it is easy to get to. When i go back i will be looking for this property.

Lake Wylie retreat

An excellent place to stay on Lake Wylie. Very well kept and stocked. Opportunities to kayak or just sit back on the deck and enjoy the superb views.

Great Lake House!

We enjoyed staying here. Missed the entrance at first then found it. We parked to the right of the house, where there were two parking spots but had a larger vehicle so we unloaded our stuff into the kitchen and then parked in a different spot (the binder inside said that the neighbors complain if you are over the property line, which we would have been). Location is near a few grocery stores and a lot of restaurants. Saw a lot of deer on the property. We used the kayaks and beach quite a bit. The two person kayak has a hole that has been patched but needs to be either fixed again or it just needs to be decommissioned. We took it out not too far and went to drag it up the beach and found out that it had taken on a lot of water. Beach was great, would recommend water shoes, lots of shells and rocks once you get in the water. The hill coming back up from the beach is no joke, especially trying to carry all of your stuff and a toddler. Kitchen came stocked with lots of appliances, spices and fridge had a lot of condiments. We found a few cockroaches in the house. We lost power due to a thunderstorm-no flashlights available. The house was staged very well but maybe not for younger kids-too many things that could break or get ruined. There are so many light switches, especially on the first floor. All in all, we had a great stay and our son is already asking to go back to the lake house. Would definitely stay again.

Can’t wait to come back!

My family loved everything about this house! It was even better than what we saw in the photos when booking this house. It was clean and well cared for. It felt like you were staying in someone’s home rather than a rental property. The house and kitchen had everything that we could possibly need and more. But the best part of the house was definitely the outdoor space. We loved how the house was amongst the trees with tons of shade. Of course, the beach with the fire pit and lights at night time was our favorite spot ever, but we also greatly enjoyed the hammock and covered porch. The lake and beach were super clean and the lake was not crowded at all. I spent every morning on the quiet, private beach, reading and drinking my coffee — heavenly! I also think this home would be a great spot for a Fall trip when the leaves are changing colors. Zero complaints about the house and will definitely return again. I have recommended this house to my family and friends. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay for us and our children!

Lake life

The house was great and lake front was perfect. Nice sandy shore and off the main drag. Peace and quiet. The only thing that was an issue was the rude neighbors but once we got the parking sorted out it was fine.

Incredible location, beautiful property.

Would highly recommend this for your next lake getaway. The attention to detail was impressive for the property, the amenities and the interior house itself. The property is beautifully shaded with two porches- one lake facing and one at the front of the house. A spacious private beach to launch the provided kayak or SUP as well as buoys to anchor a rental jet ski. The fire pit was enjoyed by all for hotdogs and smores. The inside of the house was comfortable for everyone to spread out, play cards, games, a wall of books for any generation and a kitchen with two skylights that made lunch preparation feel easy. ** Comfortable beds. A well-appointed kitchen made meal prep seamless. A great property for any season. We'll definitely be back. Thank you for a lovely vacation experience.

Lake Wylie graduation getaway

We were in for college graduations the house was perfect. Very spacious with beautiful view of Lake Wylie. If the weather was better would have loved to use the kayaks and other water toys the house provided. They had a nice beach area as well. The house was well equipped with everything you would need. Would love to come back again.

Great lake access

Nice place and comfy beds with a beautiful view! Will definitely recommend this house for others. Make sure to bring your own water though as this house is on a well so you can't drink the water.

Beautiful lake house

Absolutely wonderful stay!! My wife and I decided on this home after considering a stay at other surrounding lakes in NC/SC…and we are so glad we chose this home. We have family in Charlotte and Winston Salem and we were able to visit with them. Anything and everything we could possibly need during our stay was available for us at this beautiful home. The owners called on our arrival to be sure we had everything we needed and had no problems getting into the property. Our nephews had a blast using the Kayaks and paddle board!! Being able to use the grill and fire pit during our stay was terrific also. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us!!

Amazing Lake Getaway

We can’t thank Stan & Karen enough for providing such a wonderful vacation experience for our entire family. The pictures do not do this property justice and the Pearson’s are excellent and attentive hosts. The private beach on a beautiful lake with kayaks, paddle board, life jackets, fire pit, wood, BBQ grill and lawn furniture is definitely the highlight, but the beautiful lights, back deck with stunning views and the comfy “great room,” make the experience extra enjoyable. The beds are very comfortable and you can control the air conditioning separately from the upstairs and downstairs. The kitchen is fully equipped and the refrigerator is huge. The Great room also has so many books, games and a huge TV to entertain you . . . but the lake was constantly the draw for our family. Several stores and restaurants are within 10 minutes and yet it is such a quiet wooded neighborhood that you’ll get to see deer. We really enjoyed seeing fawns with their parents. If we had any questions, Stan was ready to answer them. So our 5-night stay was refreshing and packed with great memories, and by God’s grace we will get to come again to this unforgettable vacation home.

Beautiful property, well maintained, great location, lake and lake tos

No soap or shampoo in the primary bath. No dishwasher pods that we could see. Not complaints, just stuff for Stan to look after. Steep, albeit short, walk down to the beach. You wouldn't want to be pushing someone in a wheelchair up from there, but you could drive them down. Great porch with partial view of the lake - lots more when leaves are off the trees. Small, sandy beach with paddle boards, canoes. Fairly secluded.

Great view of Lake Wylie

Beautiful house with beach, great view and access to the lake. Several kayaks, large float, many other outdoor toys. House has a large screened porch overlooking the lake. Many books, games, 4 TVs. Just about anything you could ask for.

Waterfront oasis

Well appointed home, plenty of kitchen tools, appliances, towels, sheets, everything was clean and the home offers plenty of space. The waterfront is fantastic, shallow beach for young kids to play along the shore with plenty of water toys for the older kids/adults. Would definitely rent this home again, a true waterfront oasis.

Wonderful Spot for Family Fun!

Everything you need for a relaxing and playful family vacation! The beach and lake are perfect for kayaking, SUP, and fun for little ones, with all the “toys” provided!! Great communication with the host makes for an easy visit. Just wish we had more time to read a book from the expansive book shelves, for adults and children as well. Huge plus, the lake traffic was very quiet, especially on the weekdays we were there. Wish I could include a picture of the smiles and joy on my grandson’s face!
