The space
Don’t be fooled by the age-old exterior of the Historic Family Cottage, this cosy home is filled with every comfort and modern amenity to ensure you have a rewarding and entertaining stay in Frome, whether you are looking for family fun, alfresco dining or some well-deserved relaxation time in the sun-bathed garden.

Step off picturesque Naish’s Street into a welcoming hall, with a bright and modern kitchen to your right. This good-sized room is equipped with a high-quality cooker, dishwasher, microwave, washing machine and fridge/freezers, with ample work surfaces and storage so that you can cook up a family feast to enjoy in the dining room or garden. Our younger guests are catered for too with childrens’ dinnerware and a high chair.

Further down the hall from the kitchen you will discover the cosy and peaceful living/dining room. This room will be a comfortable retreat for you all at the end of a busy day of sightseeing, where you can lounge on the sofa to devour a riveting read or a Netflix boxset. The children will enjoy the board games in the cooler months, or will want to play to their hearts’ content in the sheltered and verdant garden just beyond the living room: perfect for ball games and skittles on the lawn.

The grown-ups will appreciate the continental feel of the peaceful garden, where they can sunbathe on the decking or dine on red wine and barbequed steak on the patio.

After all this decadent holiday pleasure you’ll be ready to wend your way up the original winder stair to the gable bedrooms above, where beds fitted with comfortable mattresses and freshly laundered linens await to ensure a good night’s sleep.

The first floor has a double bedroom with king-sized bed, and a childrens’ bedroom with extendable sofa bed which can sleep 1 or 2 people. The cottage is also equipped with a travel cot and mattress. In the modern and luxurious bathroom on this floor you will find a bath, power shower and heated towel rail. Soap, toilet tissue and freshly laundered towels are all provided for your comfort.

Follow the ancient staircase even higher to discover the double bedroom in the gable roof, which has an inviting feel of snug retreat. This homely cottage in the heart of Frome will leave you with lasting memories of a truly historic holiday.
