Meggett Cottage is a charming cottage on a working livestock farm, high up in the Alkham Valley with fabulous far-reaching views. The valley is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and offers many opportunities for walking and cycling. The cottage is also perfectly located for a trip to the coastal town of Folkestone with its trendy Harbour Arm, independent cafes and bars, the Creative Quarter and sandy beaches. This lovely cottage has everything you could ask for a fabulous family holiday. Meggett Cottage is a converted, single storey farm building has been lovingly renovated into a comfortable three bedroom cottage with a large open plan living space so family or friends can socialise together. The dining table even converts into a pool table, which is great entertainment for colder days, or dark evenings. The sunny conservatory allows up to enjoy the pretty garden all year round, and there is a patio as well as a raised deck area to enjoy the stunning views. The cottage is a short drive or slightly longer walk to the award-winning Marquis of Granby, a 200 year old pub serving food and drink, and the Alkham Valley garden centre and tea gardens are also close by. Please note: The owners of the cottage welcome well-behaved dogs but like to highlight that this is a working livestock farm and so dogs need to be kept under control at all times. The garden is fenced but not fully enclosed, and so large dogs may be able to jump the fence, and smaller dogs may be able to get through the bushes, and sheep are grazing in the adjacent field.
