"CHATHAM UP" é uma maravilhosa casa localizada em North Chatham, dentro de um bairro familiar muito estabelecido, ótimo para ciclismo e caminhada. O Veteran's Field, onde o time de beisebol de Chatham A joga, fica a 0,67 km de distância. Oyster Pond Beach fica a 1,5 km de distância, bem como o início da Downtown Main Street, com suas muitas butiques divertidas e bons restaurantes. Relaxe no deck traseiro ou na varanda da frente depois de sair da Morris Island Rd, tomando sol na Scattaree Beach, Oyster Pond ou em uma das praias de Nantucket Sound. Not as expected

Dead grill - he got a new one 4 days into our stay - stated it was for next renters. Extremely poor AC units - not enough to cool house on 90+ degree days. Only one fan worked, 2 were not operational. Bedding was uncomfortable. Poor electrical in bathroom lights - constant strobe effect. Bathroom sink faucet needed be tightened. Door lock battery was failing, yet we were blamed for removing batteries - owner was far to quick to accuse others for fails. We left a day early.

Where do I begin?

Immediately upon entering we could smell the humidity and mold in the A/C window units (in bedrooms only) next using the toilet (no TP!) after a long drive it wouldn’t flush and the light in bathroom was out, the faucet was also loose. Finally after unpacking and wanting to settle in we tried to sit on back deck and realized 2 out of 4 chains were broken. We started to cook dinner and only had 2 working burners with a filthy dirty oven. Fast forward to bedtime (paid for the linen fee) the sheets were so gross and ill fitting the fitted sheet completely came off if u moved an inch revealing a stained old mattress pad. The towels we paid to use were stained and ratty. The next day we tried to put trash and the bin was completely full from the previous tenants. Bentley was responsive with the trash issue and had it picked up however, I had to take time out of my vacation to make the arrangements then let her know it was completed. I asked her twice to contact me after the week was over and she neglected to acknowledge my request. Wouldn’t recommend this stay for the price to anyone I know.

Great stay

We enjoyed staying at our Cape Cod location. Very quiet neighborhood and very friendly people. We will look forward to staying here again.

BYOOF: Bring Your Own Outside Furniture

We’ve rented for 11 years in Chatham and this was my least favorite property. The property boasted a deck and there was no furniture to enjoy it. The outside shower had no stall so if you enjoy neighbors watching you shower, this property is for you. Having an outside shower is an imperative when there is one bathroom (thank goodness we have boys) so the lack of a legit shower to bathe was a disappointment. At the price of this rental I didn’t realize we’d be “glamping”. The description should have read: “property has a beautiful deck to stand on and marvel at they stall-less outside shower”. Also, the property says it sleeps 5. There was one Queen bed and two twins. If sleeping on the couch is considered another bed, that’s news to me. I consider it the place my non-paying, too-drunk-to-drive-home guest plants themselves until they’ve sobered up. These seem like picky, minute details, but they compound when the other aspects disappoint: in all of my years I’ve never had a Cape Cod house that didn’t have lobster crackers (to break the shells)…it’s almost blasphemy! Was I not in the midst of shark and lobster culture? I went to the Ben Franklin and bought (and overpaid for) them myself. I know…picky. And the bathroom light was installed incorrectly and flashed incessantly as if we were being reprogrammed a la Clockwork Orange. It was not as simple as removing the bulb…believe me, I investigated when I started to think my brain waves were being compromised. I’m not sure I’m thinking clearly yet. We rent a house rather then stay in a hotel as we enjoy the comfort of being in a home. And with teen boys, space is good. On the plus, the place was clean. Perhaps sparsely appointed (lobster crackers anyone?), I’ve learned long ago to bring a good pan and decent knife when renting. I like to cook. The vintage appointments had charm and mostly worked. I haven’t a seen a range like that since 1974…very nostalgic. The fridge and dishwasher were modern and clean. I understand we’re paying for location, but it feels a bit pricey for what we are getting.

Nice Location

The house is in a great location. There is a very nice coffee shop/deli about than a quarter mile away. Downtown Chatham is a 5 minute drive and Chatham Pier Seafood is even closer. the house itself is nicely set up. The deck in back is small but peaceful - it was perfect for a glass of wine at night. I had some problems with the shades in some rooms but that may have been me. Definitely recommended.

We wanted to clarify a few housekeeping items here for our guests. For the last two weeks in June and for the months of July and August the home rents Saturday to Saturday and there is a minimum of a seven nights stay. When a Holiday falls on a Friday or Monday, there is a three night minimum stay. The base cleaning fee is $125.00. We do allow a pet on a case by case basis with prior approval. There is a $19.00 per pet per night additional cleaning fee. For quests that would like us to provide sheets and towels we are happy to do so and there is a $40.00 linen fee. These fees are charged by our Cleaning Co. and are simply pass thru costs. For the benefit of our family and future guests there is NO smoking in our home at anytime. Thank you! For guests that want to order pay-per-view movies, shows etc thru Netflix, Prime Video etc must do so using their own personal account or they will be charged. Thank you!
