We do not allow pets, smoking or parties. We have an outdoor cat that lives around the property. No parking on grass.
We only allow 2 jet skis and 2 boats, do not allow Jet Packs and request that our guests maintain 200 feet distance from all piers while riding.
No loud music that would disturb neighbors and all music should be turned off by 11:00 pm.

Stayed over the weekend with friends, and it was absolutely incredible. The host was very communicative, flexible, and the house was clean and ready for us upon arrival. I highly recommend this VRBO for anyone looking for a relaxing getaway!

Lovely house, beautiful view of lake, lots of things to do. Easy actcess to lake. Great kitchen to cook in. We had 12 people it was perfect for a large group, Lydia the host was very kind.

Amazing!

We stayed with friends and family and loved our time. Lydia was a wonderful host and made sure we had everything we needed. The house is BEAUTIFUL, large and comfortable. The kitchen was so much fun to cook in and had tons of room to sit and hang. Water was perfect for all water sports. We would love to stay again!

Relax, Play, Enjoy

We had 9 adults and 5 young children for some wonderful family time. The house was large enough for all to be comfortable and have privacy when needed. It was decorated beautifully and was very clean. The kitchen was equipped for a chef. We will recommend this property to friends. Lydia was a joy to work with, making us feel welcome.

Family Gathering

This was the second time that my family has stayed at this home. It is the perfect spot for all my family to meet and spend some much needed time together. Lydia has been a wonderful host both visits. This home is amazing and its location on the lake is spectacular. You feel like you have your own private portion of lake. Both times, we rented a boat from a local marina and enjoyed the lake and all it has to offer. All in all, this is the perfect place to bring your family and enjoy Lake Martin. Highly recommend Lydia and her beautiful home!

Graduation week at the lake

We stayed 6 days the week of my daughter’s graduation from Auburn. The house was amazing and lake access perfect. We comfortably slept 10 people. Owner was very communicative and great to work with. Would definitely go back again!

Great Lakefront Getaway with Golf Nearby

Wonderful and very Accommodating Waterfront Property.

Amazing time at Lydia’s wonderful home. This property checked all of the boxes. Very roomy, clean, well maintained, full of amenities, secure location, excellent host who is extremely personable.

Great tailgate weelend

2 families stayed for an Auburn tailgate weekend, and we had plenty of room. The house was the most well stocked VRBO I have ever stayed in, and Lydia was very accommodating. The house was very clean and the property was beautiful.

Quiet Relaxation

This home is in a nice protected cove, which has a bit less boat traffic. Making for a nice relaxing stay. A great level lot for easy lake access without the usual stair expedition of many Lake Martin homes. Lydia was very pleasant to deal with and always a quick response.

My Mom’s 60th!

We were looking for the perfect spot to gather our entire family from multiple states and this place was absolutely amazing! Plenty of space and Lake Martin was such a relaxing place to just float around and catch up with your family. Lydia was great for allowing us to use her beautiful home to accomplish this!

Location location!

Summer Lake Vacation

Multi-family lake vacation, as we do every summer. This was our second time on Lake Martin. Lake was perfect, as before. This house was AWESOME for a pretty big group. Host was very nice and on top of things.

The perfect house at Lake Martin!

The moment we saw the house, we were immediately impressed! The house was spacious and homey. You feel like you’ve all gathered at a family member’s house with how the rooms are set up and decorated. The kids had PLENTY to keep them entertained and occupied in the evenings with the play area and games; even the adults had fun playing the games. The entertainment room was perfect for many of us to go in to watch a movie with a theater atmosphere. The kitchen has everything you could think of when fixing meals especially for large families/groups. The sunroom allowed some to be able to be outside and enjoy the amazing views and sounds without the direct sun. The deck space and chairs allowed all of us to be able to spread out. The kids could have fun jumping off the dock and others didn’t have to worry about being splashed. We all enjoyed the ability to spread out so no one felt like they were on top of each other. We also love its location. We weren’t far from a Dollar General, local restaurants, Smith Mountain Fire Tower, and the beach area at DARE Power Park. If you want someplace where it feels like home, definitely stay here! This was the first house I saw when researching Lake Martin and I am so glad it was. The homeowner promptly answered any questions I had, made the entire experience very enjoyable/seamless, and was very friendly and hospitable. We highly recommend staying here and would gladly come back again!

Perfect family home to rent!!!

We rented this home for a family gathering over Thanksgiving. It was the perfect home for our big family. It was so cozy and had everything we needed + more. The owner is super nice and accommodating. We will definitely rent this home again! Our stay was awesome!!

Beautiful Lake Martin rental

This is one of the most unique places I've stayed over hundreds of rentals I've booked. The VIEW from the back of this house is amazing, as are the outside patio, grounds, fire pit & dock areas are wonderful and even better than the pictures IRL. Owners are warm, friendly & very communicative. I never felt like I couldn't reach out or get connected w/ them quickly. The home was decorated incredibly for Halloween too, which was wild. It's wonderful, and I only took it down a star (would be just a 1/2 star if possible) because it's not a 5 star rental property. While the Master suite is fantastic...the other bedrooms are pretty small (though all the adult sized beds appeared to be exceedingly comfortable), and the house probably needs another full bathroom upstairs. If you pushed this house to the occupancy max (we were only 7), you'd be sad. Also, the ovens weren't fully working (one was completely out, the other may be soon too)...which made cooking somewhat challenging. Despite these issues, this home would be a solid 4.5 stars in most people's book. I'd go back again for sure.

Wonderful! Don’t miss this Taste of Lake Martin

The property is gorgeous and in a beautiful location. The home was spotless and plenty of rooms for our family reunion. Lots of space to be together or alone. I would definitely book again and the hostess was exceptional.

I am an Alabama native and have lived on Lake Martin for 33 years. We have 4 children. Our oldest daughter is a Graphic Designer/Artist in Birmingham; oldest son is married and starting his Med School Residency; our younger son is about to start his Physical Therapy Doctorate Program and our youngest daughter is in Nursing School working toward being a Nurse Practitioner. We will be working for many more years in our professions to get all 4 kids on their feet and financially independent of mom and dad! We designed and built our home 15 years ago and absolutely love lake life! There is nothing like dining with friends on our back patio with our beautiful lake providing the ideal ambience or sitting on our back porch drinking coffee watching the stillness of the water in the morning.

Susannah Crossing is a very quiet neighborhood and our lake front is located in Sandy Creek of Lake Martin across from a duck refuge. We look at trees year round and our lake area is very quiet; looks like glass in the still of the day. This makes from great skiing, tubing and swimming, unlike some of the busier open waters/channels on the lake. We have water at our pier year round making our lake house view wonderful!

Our home was custom built which we worked on the design for 10 years. It is perfect for casual and formal entertaining inside and out. Our house was built for kids, big groups and our focus was primarily on the kitchen where everyone loves to gather. Our kitchen is very large which is great for everyone pitching in with meal prep while enjoying appetizers or gathering for morning coffee and breakfast...plenty of room for every meal scenario! Our kitchen and den also spill out nicely to back porch area with outdoor/indoor speakers, which is great for relaxing lakeside. Our home is also very child friendly with lots for them to do...lots of games to choose from, game table area upstairs, a dress up closet, movies, books, play station, outdoor games and a Pac Man machine!
