Playful Pines Haven, close to Village

Welcome to Playful Pines Haven!! We feature multiple outdoor spaces with new spa! 3 bedrooms(one bedroom is a private living room with comfy pull out sofa), 2 bathrooms. Two living room areas both with sleeping options, and gas fireplaces. Parking for 2 cars.

Tucked away within trees, on a quiet, end street, yet extremely close to the hustle and bustle. Steps away from forest. Under a mile to The Village!

Fully stocked kitchen for most of your cooking needs. Bring yourselves and groceries! Full sized appliances gas stove, fridge, and dishwasher, for your convenience. Starter pack of dish soap, paper towels, and kitchen towels included.

All bedding provided along with 8 bath towels and basic toiletries.

Covid Info 2/4/21- current date 2021- We are still permitted to allow guests into our home. Outdoor activities are operating (lift tickets purchase online, limited availability). Restaurants are only takeout or delivery. There are a few extra restrictions.
1-Groceries should be purchased at your local store prior to traveling. This will reduce the strain on our community.
2-Absolutely no parties.
3-Please follow and respect guidelines set regarding social distancing and masks.
4-Spa hours are 7A-10P (we don't like it either, but its a restriction placed upon us.)

Violation of the restrictions will result in eviction without refund.

Our strict cancellation policy is still in affect. Any cancellations requesting full refund, will need to provide proper documentation to the hosting site(SavvyBears, Airbnb, Vrbo). We will NOT cancel your reservation for you.

All requests to change date, must be done a minimum of 14 days before your stay. Prices may change due to change of date.

If you instant book, you assume responsibility that all restrictions will be followed. We will not be responsible for any eviction, fine, or inconvenience due to disregarding the restrictions placed for Big Bear Lake and Big Bear City.

The Home- 1876 sq feet, mix of carpet in living areas, tile in kitchen and bath areas. This home has 2 bedrooms, 2 extra living room areas can be used as 3rd & 4th bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, washer/dryer. Multiple patio/ outdoor entertaining spaces, with plenty of seating and propane grill. Spa coming winter 2020

Parking- For 2 cars (tandem)

Bedroom 1 & 2 are upstairs. Bedroom 3 is the lower living room. Upper living room and sitting room also have sleeping areas.

Bedroom 1- California king sized bed. Armoire and dresser for your clothing storage needs. Room darkening curtains

Bedroom 2- Queen sized bed, blackout curtains. Closet and dresser for clothing storage needs.

Bedroom 3/Lower living room- Gas fireplace to set ambiance. Sectional sofa with sofa sleeper. Reclining armed chair, access to a small deck. Deck is perfect to enjoy your morning coffee, or view some stars. This room has doors for privacy.

Bathroom 1-Located upstairs near both bedrooms. Shower/tub combo.

Bathroom 2- Located on main level. Shower.

We provide shampoo, conditioner, body wash, cotton rounds, and q tips. We do provide limited hand towels and wash cloths. 8 bath towels are provided. (Not for lake use, please bring extra for lake.)

Washer/dryer- Full sized HE stacked units, located in upper living room closet. We do not provide laundry detergent.

Sitting Area- Oversized armed chair. Pulls out to single bed.

Living room 1- Gas fireplace Couch, 2 armed chairs, wooden rocking chair. Couch pulls out to a bed. Access to main deck. Samsung smart tv. A single pull out chair is located between both living areas.

Fireplaces- 2 gas fireplaces, one in each living room.

Kitchen- Full sized fridge, gas stove, and dishwasher to help you enjoy more of your time! Fully stocked with all utensils, cookware, and dishware. A starter pack of paper towels, and trash bags are provided. Along with dish soap, coffee grounds, a few keurig pods, and sugar. Even a cute popcorn maker to prep for movie night!

Dining- Large dining table with 6 chairs. Bay window style bench seating. Access to main deck.

Yard- Playful Pines Haven has 3 different deck areas, and with a nice porch to enjoy. Along with extra yard space for the youngest explorer, and steps to the closest hiking trail for the more experienced explorer.

Main deck- Bench seating surrounds this deck area. Table has seating for 6, propane grill, umbrella, hammock (weather permitting), and bistro lights to enjoy night patio time. Don't miss out on the new large spa!

Spa-To be used between 7a-10p per city

Patio/deck 1- off the main front porch. Nestles into the trees, steps above the home. It overlooks the driveway and rest of the large property.

Patio/deck 2- off of bedroom 3/lower living room. Overlooks side/backyard.

You have access to everything on property, except for one closet on the main floor, one closet upstairs, and outdoor shed.

We leave you to your vacation, unless issues arise. We are almost always available to contact.

Public transit is available .6 miles from the home, on Big Bear Blvd.

We don't have many neighbors. Please respect the neighbors we do have.

Big Bear requires an additional 11% for vacation rentals. It is sent directly to the city/county.

Cleaning fee- $185
Covers basic cleaning and laundering of all linens, and maintaining of spa per guest. This does not cover if trash is left behind. It is a unique custom in Big Bear trash drop off is free. If you choose not to bring all trash to the refuse, there will be a $25 charge per bag the cleaners must take to the site. Once you book, please review the link we send for everything you need to know about the home, along with any potential extra charges. We apologize for the inconvenience. We do seasonal deep cleans, along with items throughout the year as needed.

This home NOT Pet friendly. If found to have a pet, you risk forfeiture of your security deposit. Please respect the homeowner and their rules. If you are looking for a pet friendly home, we have other options for you.

Service Animals- We understand that service animals are an important part of your lives. However the homeowner is highly allergic to animals. With this in mind, we cannot accommodate your animals. We do have several other homes that will be suitable to your needs. Reach out to us for options.

Refundable deposit $550

Check in as early as 4pm. Check out is 10am. Please be prompt. The cleaner occasionally shows up exactly at check out. There will be an extra $100 fee if they arrive and must wait or come back. They will not knock, or enter the property until it is vacated due to safety.

Reminder- This is the mountains. We do our best to control what we can. We spray and leave bait for pests, do our best to prevent rodents, and remove weeds throughout the year. Most of our homes do have sap producing trees.

Please note in winter months: The roads are plowed regularly, but you may need 4x4 vehicle and chains. We are not responsible for any weather related travel issues.

Thomas is very diligent about the snow removal during winter months. You will most likely run into him during your stay. They are non invasive, quick, and courteous.

We have a few cameras on property. They view the driveway and empty lot above house.

Occupancy(8 including children and infants) and car limit( 2) are set by the city. They will enforce theses. If found to have more than we are licensed for, you may be evicted with no refund. So please adhere to these limitations.

It is a city ordinance, ALL trash must be taken to local trash dump site. It’s a city rule for short term rentals. Address included in check in details. Failure to do so will result in a per bag charge. No exceptions. (our homeowners abide by this rule when they stay)

Keypad code- City of Big Bear Lake requires their Good Neighbor Policy to be signed prior to gaining access to the home. The person booking the home MUST sign, no exceptions. Declining to sign will result in no access to the home, & cancellation of reservation with no refund. GNP can be found in our listing along with the break down of our agreement. Agreement is sent in a link for virtual signature in welcome message.

Code will be sent day of check in. Once the home is ready or at 4pm, whichever is first.

If traveling in winter, we highly suggest purchasing trip insurance! We have a strict cancellation policy and will stand by it. Winter months can be challenging with snow, ice, road closures, and other things. Cover yourself by purchasing the trip insurance.

No refund will be made for cancellation due to weather, road conditions, acts of nature, mechanical failures, electrical failures or malfunctions with spas, TVs or other equipment, or for sighting of insects, rodents, or other animals. No refunds will be made for circumstances beyond the Homeowner’s control. Rescheduling is allowed if all roads have been closed into the area for 24 hours of check in time.

Our stay was amazing! The house was super clean and cozy with many spaces to spread out. Loved the two living rooms, spa, multiple outdoor spaces, and of course the cozyness!! Will definitely stay here again!!
