Great location and amazing rooftop views

Place is currently under some construction still and definitely needs some work as there are multiple leaks whenever it rains. Hot water is inconsistent in showers. Would describe it as rough around the edges overall. However the property is in an amazing location and there’s tons of potential if the necessary repairs are completed.

Updates are in progress but great space/location

There are some renovations that are ongoing, but the place was quite comfortable and we enjoyed the rooftop access. Plenty of sleeping space was great and the location was perfect for walking to nearby bars and restaurants.

Disappointed

Location is great. This property will probably be nice when it’s completed but it should not have been listed as it is currently under renovation. There were piles of tiles and wood on the floors, wires hanging from ceiling, exposed drywall. The surfaces and floors were not clean, the A/C was broken, and the kitchen ceiling leaked all over the floor. We were uncomfortable with the temperature of the property for our entire stay. Host came to fix A/C and the solution was to leave wires exposed from the wall and we had to connect or disconnect them to run A/C which would only run extremely cold. The hot water ran out quickly and we were unable to use the upstairs showers which made getting ready in the morning a hassle. One of the trundle beds was not an actual mattress. There were no pans or baking sheets to use the oven. The dishwasher smelled very bad so we were unable to use it. Also, there was something fermenting in the pantry. We were scared to use the rooftop area because of the unfinished flooring. Groceries were left in the fridge. We also had no instructions on taking out trash or housekeeping items. We were very upset with our stay and will be requesting a full refund.

Not as advertised

The place was in the middle of a rehab. Seems like people were working on the building in the middle of the night. The upstairs shower leaked through the light fixture and poured water all over the kitchen. The sheets were not washed and had some kind of residue on them. A dirty diaper was found under one of them beds as well, Honestly, pretty disappointed in our stay.

UNSAFE / UNFINISHED PROPERTY! UNLIST IMMEDIATLY!

This was a truly awful experience and we're in the process of getting a FULL refund of the hotel we had to book due to this horrible listing. We booked the property and everything was fine. A few weeks later the host unlists the property and I called VRBO to confirm everything was fine. They assure me everything is still fine, guests are staying at this unit and giving good reviews, aand that my stay will be fine. We arrived on time, the host was sleeping on the couch! He then said he forgot to clean and started vacuuming as we were coming in. The unit was FILTHY! rotten food in the fridge, half eaten meals left out, garbage and grime everywhere. We then went up to the sleeping rooms and they were DISGUSTING and UNDER CONSTRUCTION! One room was filthy and wreaked of cigarette smoke. The other rooms were clearly under construction as piles of drywall and tools were spread everywhere. There were exposed wires and broken walls everywhere. Two of the guests staying with me are lawyers and advised me to immediately start documenting and taking photographs. We have extensively documented the unfit state of the unit and will be seeking a full reimbursement of the hotels we needed to book due to VRBO's negligence in vetting host properties.
