The comforts of home, the beauty of the pines, and lifelong memories—it’s all waiting at Retreat on the Rim. With 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, and plenty of large gathering spaces, this cozy-meets-modern cabin accommodates up to 17 people. From the spacious front porch to the well-equipped kitchen to the fun-filled game room, every space has been thoughtfully designed with families and large groups in mind. So bring the whole crew, escape to the pines, and relax and recharge at Retreat on the Rim.
We can’t wait to welcome you to our family cabin! Here are some things you should know about our space:
-The kitchen-
Fully equipped with pots, pans, mixing bowls, baking sheets/pans, Keurig (plus a small assortment of k-cups), blender, and slow cooker, plus various standard cooking utensils. Appliances are all newer and function perfectly. Please note: condiments, sugar, creamers, etc. are cleaned out between guests and are not provided.
The kitchen table has 6 chairs, but there is plenty of room to pull up additional folding chairs (provided in the garage). There is also seating for 4 at the counter, a picnic table outside, and a folding table available for your use.
-The gathering places-
We love sitting around the gas fireplace in the family room for late-night chats (preferably with the windows open to let in the cool mountain air!). Or you can gather in the huge second family room/game room for a movie night or game night (we have plenty of board games for you to choose from, plus foosball, oversized Connect 4, and Hookey).
-The bedrooms-
The split floor plan allows for extra privacy and creates a perfect setup for families or groups.
Bedroom 1 (Master): (1) King bed + (1) Twin pullout bed + Pack-n-Play
Bedroom 2: (2) Twin beds
Bedroom 3: (1) Queen bed + (1) twin bunk bed
Bedroom 4: (6) Twin beds (2 triple bunk beds)
Game room: (1) Full pullout bed, comfortably sleeps 2
-Outdoor living-
The huge front porch is the perfect spot to relax—curl up with a book, play a game, or simply enjoy the view! With the national forest across the street, you’ll enjoy spectacular forest scenery and plenty of privacy. The fully fenced-in front yard means the kids can play outside without wandering off. The yard features a fire pit for roasting marshmallows. We also have a bocce ball set and a cornhole set, so there are plenty of ways to get outside and enjoy the beautiful weather.
-Other features-
The house is equipped with high-speed wi-fi, smart TVs (in the family room, game room, and master bedroom), an electric vehicle charger in the garage, and smart speakers.
Please note that smoking is not permitted on the premises. Any cigarette butts found on the property will incur a charge.
Guests will have access to the entire home (including front and back yards), along with the garage (2 car) and driveway (parking for 2 cars).
Entire route from highway to cabin is made up of paved roads that are maintained in the winter.
Retreat on the Rim feels secluded, but it is minutes away from everything Pinetop-Lakeside and Show Low have to offer, including restaurants, shopping, hiking trails, lakes, and more. We are also about 45 minutes from Sunrise Ski Resort.
Please remember that you are staying in our family cabin, not a hotel. If problems arise, we will do our very best to take action ASAP, but there is no one living onsite 24/7. We appreciate you treating our space with respect!
