Perfect unit…but those elevators
Everything about this unit was top notch. It’s sparkling clean and up to date. It’s also high enough to give you great views. The kitchen is updated and stocked with plenty of cooking supplies and storage containers. The utility closet also has the regulars plus sand toys and boogie boards for the kids. So many good things to say about it. In fact, the only constructive criticism is that the master bedroom is warmer than the rest of the unit because of the windows but not at all a hardship. Now let’s talk about the elevator issues which has nothing to do with the unit itself. Golden Sands needs to update the elevators. They were a challenge most of the week. One of four wasn’t working all week and the remaining three were hit or miss and slow going. Management is also not available 24/7 to deal with issues when they arise. For example, they booted our car because they had the wrong day on the permit. Things happen but no one was able to do anything about it because management wasn’t on site. Luckily we fussed enough that they were willing to call management who had gone for the day. It was then resolved without any further inconvenience or fees. So, the bottom line is the condo is top notch and you will love it and the amenities that come with the Golden Sands like the indoor pool, game room, workout room, sauna, outdoor deck with cabana bar and pool. Vacasa just needs to put some pressure on the building owners to make a few improvements on the functioning of the building.
