ABOUT ECCLESTON SQUARE. A highly desirable place to both to live and visit, Eccleston Square -- a collection of beautiful 19th century townhouses built around a 2.3-acre garden square -- dates to the 1830s. At that time, the area was known as "Lower Belgravia" -- an extension of the Aristocratic enclave of "Belgravia" just a few blocks away. Winston Churchill moved to Eccleston Square a year after marrying Clementine Hozier, and their first two children, Diana and Randolph, were born here. Today, Eccleston Square consistently wins London’s ‘Best Garden Square Competition’ for its cultivated beauty and unusual selection of rare plants. As a Greenhaven guest, enjoy access to its many seating, dining, lounging and play areas along with its meandering walking paths through 'mini garden' settings for a magical botanical experience.
