This is a lovely house in a quiet Lauderdale-by-the-Sea neighborhood, very walkable, and accessible to the beach, the restaurants, Publix (very important), and Kilwins Ice Cream (extremely important). No need for a car if you like walking. The house is clean and furnished comfortably, with a bright sunroom in which we enjoyed having breakfast and lunch. It overlooks the pool (nicely lit at night), which has plenty of seating and a lovely tiki hut for shade.
For beach goers, the house has beach chairs, an umbrella, and a wagon for transporting stuff. A nice touch.
A few issues: the pool was great to cool off in, but in our case, a bit too cool, as the heater wasn’t working. In addition, there was a gas odor when it kicked on; notified the property manager, who might have responded more promptly. We shut down the heater, which wasn’t fixed until a day before our one week stay ended. Also, an animal left a gift on the top step of the pool during our stay, an issue that was certainly beyond the control of the host, however, wasn’t dealt with as promptly as we had hoped for. Ultimately, the host was gracious in dealing with the issue.
All in all, a great week, despite these few bumps. We do recommend this house rental for a fun and relaxing stay.
