The space
When you arrive at this newly remodeled cabin, you will find the interior equipped with brand new appliances and unique amenities like dim-able lights throughout for setting the perfect mood, high-speed wifi, and everything you need for a comfortable visit.

Imagine the convenience of a full kitchen complete with pots, pans, utensils and nearly everything that you could need to whip up a home-cooked meal, or for hosting your get together!

We have wifi access and a 42in mounted TV equipped with a Roku (which includes netflix, amazon prime, Roku channel, Fox News, PBS ABC News, and SO much more!)

GRILLING:
How about dinner? With our outdoor dining area dinner has been made easy. Feel free to help yourself to our large and plentiful garden. Guests often enjoy picking fresh veggies straight from the garden before roasting shish-kabob's and burgers on our grill as they sit and enjoy the purple sunset.

Perhaps you are more of an outdoors type?

Great! We have SPACE TO PARK AN ATV TRAILER! As well as an off location area to park an additional trailer.

With the Mena area offering a variety of outdoors activities suitable for everyone from the adventurist to the day hiker, you will be able to walk out the door of your cabin and directly into the Ouachita forest and be on your way to your next adventure in a matter of minutes.

Need help with your next adventure?

No problem! We can help with directions, maps, and much more so that the only thing you have to worry about is if you want to go swimming in crystal clear waters, digging for crystals at a local gem mine, hike in the nearly 2 million-acre Ouachita National Forest, or cruise some of the local trails in your 4x4.

When you stay at our charming cabin, you will be at the base of RichMountain, the most biologically diverse mountain in North America, with the Talimena Scenic Drive practically starting in our driveway!

Cruise to one of the vistas in a matter of minutes and watch the sunset while sitting atop the highest point in western Arkansas in a set of fold-up camping chairs that we have available for your use.

What about after dark? We have outdoor lighting that makes the area easy to relax in as you enjoy our portable fire pit. Plus+ with multiple sitting areas, you can have as much privacy as you like.

ONSITE HIKING:
Need a romantic getaway? How about a fun mini-adventure with the kids? With multiple trails available on 10-acre property, you can take a quick trek into the woods to view the vast array of plant and animal life. Fun Fact: Rich Mountain is the most biologically diverse place in North America, so expect to see anything from rare plants to the giant Rich Mountain worm that grows up to 3-feet in length! Also, we have private hideaways prepared for you so you can catch an amazing sun rise or our incredible purple sunsets. These are some of the BEST VIEWS available anywhere in Mena.

Guest access
Currently our property can accommodate up to 5 vehicles on site with free additional parking available across the street.

Many guests with trailers are able to drive in and back out of our driveway, but for the easiest parking, parking across the street is easiest.

Mena is a very safe, low crime town where you can feel safe. This is one of the few towns left in America where people still do not lock their doors!

Also, if you care to take a leisurely stroll, we are within walking distance to many local restaurants, and shops! Or if you prefer, head the other direction and reach multiple trail heads on Rich Mountain in a matter of minutes .
Other things to note
IMPORTANT LOCATION INFO:
It is important to note that our little house is butted up against the mountain and a FOREST... As such, we are basically in the woods even though we are in town. We clean thoroughly after every guest, spray for bugs, and have the property treated, but because of our location, you may see a bug, ants, or a spider. This is a rain forest after all!

ALCOHOL:
Polk County is a dry county, so if you are someone who likes a "cold one",I recommend bringing it with you. Otherwise expect to travel a min of 25 mins to get to the closest bar (and I think they only serve beer) or 40+ mins to the closest liquor store/legit bar.

GARDEN:
Our property hosts a community garden and food forest, so depending on what time of the year you arrive, you may have an abundant variety of fresh fruit, vegetables, herbs, chicken eggs and flowers available for your enjoyment.

Guests often enjoy brewing sun tea with our fresh mint and hibiscus or picking berries from our trees and vines.
