This apartment is described as a “luxury apartment,” and let me say that it is anything but luxury. Upon arrival, the apartment was dirty and poorly stocked. There were food crumbs/paper shreds on the floor, foot prints on the tile, filthy carpet, sticky counters, open boxes and food items in the cabinets, dirty/damaged pots/pans, sticky cabinets, broken lamps, mismatched furniture, bedding that did not fit, hard beds in the spare bedroom, spray painted walls, and electrical tape covering the lights in both the refrigerator and freezer. The kitchen was also poorly stocked. For example, there were only 6 dinner plates in 4 different patterns, 1 mixing/serving bowl, and an inadequate number and variety of utensils. This is only a brief summary of the filthy and ill-stocked condition of the apartment.
Two weeks into my stay the power in the apartment went out. The other units and the rest of the building had power, so the problem was isolated to this rental property. As such, I reached out to the person I was told to contact with any future issues. Several hours later the power remained out, the temperature in the apartment was at least 90 degrees, and it was dark. My contact eventually volunteered that they had failed to pay the electricity bill, the person in charge of paying the bill lived in China, and it was a Chinese holiday. Thus, there was not going to be timely resolution of the outage. That said, I moved to a hotel down the street. Absolutely unacceptable!
