Not quite as advertised - 6 day stay
Up front, let me say that the condo was clean and in very good condition as well as perfectly situated in close proximity to the beach and pool/jacuzzi. There were a couple of safety issues at first, one being dangerous access to the roof on the landing outside the front door (we had a 3 year-old), the other being nails protruding from the bottom of the sofa. These issues were resolved within 24 hours by the local Vacasa management staff. The listing mentioned access to a gym/fitness room but this turned out not to be the case. The fitness room is located in the large, high rise building at Bahia Mar and we were told that the condos did not have access to it. We asked for a credit from Vacasa but have not heard back. Some things to note: the TV in the main bottom floor bedroom didn't work; the kitchen garbage can had only two bags (no backup supply); there was no backup supply of toilet paper; the wall light in the hallway is placed so a tall person can easily bump into it (my son and I did this several times); the front door was difficult to open from the inside and needed a shove; the passageway outside the front door needs a spruce up; in the second bottom floor bedroom, the smoke alarm was intermittently chirping, which affected sleep - a text to Vacasa management was not returned. Note also that there is no washer/dryer, which can be a problem with damp towels and bathing suits - you need to go to an off-site laundromat. You obviously need to bring your own food but it should include salt and pepper. Lastly, a year ago, we rented a condo in the same complex from a private owner and did not have any problems. The issues listed above could be easily addressed to deliver the same kind of experience.
