Great time in Eureka Springs in Not-so-ready House

We chose this house for our annual girl trip and it provided plenty of room. When we arrived, the elock on the front door seemed to have a low battery. We called the customer service number and they were very courteous and responsive. We were able to access the house with a "regular" key from a lockbox, but no one ever came by to fix the elock. When we entered, we found the carpet and kitchen floors were dirty, as well as the kitchen. We found a vacuum and vacuumed as much as we could until the stench from the over full cannister was overwhelming. The deck and patio furniture also seemed like they hadn't been cleaned for a long time. Again, customer service was extremely receptive and offered to have it recleaned, but at that point we didn't want to be concerned with securing our possessions before heading out for the day. We also had lights out and a towel bar fell off the wall (when no one was in the room,) and the beds & furniture are very soft. The location is very convenient to everything in Eureka Springs. Unfortunately, the window in the front bedroom is very close to Main Street and broken, so plenty of street noise came through. We really enjoyed the open kitchen, dining, living room space. The hot tub was pristine and we took advantage of it one evening. The bathrooms were also clean. The property has excellent parking and felt very safe. We all agreed with some better maintenance and updates it would be an excellent place to stay.

This property was in a great location since it was close to all the fun near downtown.

This property was in a great location since it was close to all the fun near downtown. The Urban Deck House is a lovely home that had plenty of room to accommodate us. Our small group of five "sister cousins." The furnishings were ample and good quality throughout the home. We chose this property with two specific things in mind. #1 was the Hot Tub. Which was not working. We were informed by Vacasa about the hot tub NOT being available due to needed repair about an hour prior to our arrival. Upon investigation it appears the previous guest from April had the same complaint about not having a working hot tub as described in the listing. Disappointed that the listing continued to advertise a hot tub when in fact they knew it would not be available. Had we known we could have had an opportunity to re-locate since that was a priority for our stay. #2 Location, which was lovely. The home is not being managed well in our estimation. The poor lighting throughout the home was a challenge. There are ZERO lamps in the main living spaces. The sparse harsh overhead lighting was less than idea even though it allowed for dimming and brightening. Light switches were noted everywhere. Very confusing trying to figure out what switch was for what lighting. Many of the switches were not working. Kitchen lighting in particular was less than expected. There were no bath matts (rugs) only small towel rugs available. The bedrooms while furnished with kingsize beds were not very comfortab

Great Location/Faulty Hot Tub

We booked this home specifically for the hot tub amenity. Upon arrival, my husband went to check the temp and it wouldn't turn on. He followed the line to the breaker and it was turned off. It was evident from the amount of pollen on the cover and the breaker, that there was a known problem never disclosed to us. The hot tub continued to display faults when turning the breaker back on. We finally turned the breaker back off. When reaching out about the issue, it was evident we were speaking with someone not from the area and even could've been AI generated. We asked to be put in touch with someone local and asked about compensation and never received a definitive answer on either. The positive: it is walkable distance into town and the restaurants we enjoy eating at. But again, wanted a home with a hot tub. If the hot tub was working, this would've been by far our favorite property out of our recent 6 visits.

great location and pretty area

We loved our time here. We were able to walk to downtown if we wanted (though keep in mind it involves a lot of stairs or a large hill or both), but it was close and convenient to everything and had everything we needed. We would stay here again!

Long walk in the cold but was totally doable. Place was great, property management was responsive. Would definitely stay here again!

Great stay!

My sister and I stayed here. It was so comfortable and inviting! The back view is amazing. We saw several deer back there. We also loved the hot tub. The Urban house is far enough from town without being too far. We will definitely stay here again!

Things have changed…

I’ve stayed at the property 3x this experience wasn’t as good as the others. First was disappointed in Vacasa. The pricing with low nightly rates & high fees was irritating. Had to call them for check in information. After the call they blew my inbox up with over a dozen duplicate emails, some glitches. Got charged $45 hot tub fees and hot tub or deck wasn’t accessible, furniture was piled on top. The house had new labels on everything, like a doctors office, ewww. The beds, linens, bathrooms had been recently cleaned but the house was dusty and had strange items like deer corn setting out, bulk sugars and coffee (with Covid eww).Just all frustrating when you are charged high cleaning fees. I’d like to think this is some sort of transition period for the new owner because I love the location of this house and travel to Eureka often.

Impressive home

I visit Eureka Springs several times a year, usually with a small group, and I typically try to book an older home, because it "fits" with the aesthetic of the city. On this last-minute trip, there simply wasn't anything "old" available that would accommodate our group. I had seen the Urban Deck House on VRBO before, and seen it while walking past, but I had never considered booking it because it wasn't "old-timey." But on this trip, it was my ONLY option within walking distance of downtown, so I booked it. What a BEAUTIFUL home! It might have converted me away from the older, creakier, draftier homes I'm accustomed to booking. Nice gas fireplace, VAST deck (pssssst...owners...it needs a hot tub!), huge kitchen that's fully equipped, and tons of space to relax and visit. (And the master bath is utterly stunning.) It's an easy 10 minute walk to downtown, and perhaps best of all, a TON of parking, so if your group is each coming in their own cars, there's space for everyone. This is a BIG deal in Eureka, especially on event weekends (which are MOST weekends), when parking closer to town is practically impossible. We were super impressed by this property and definitely plan to return.

Hidden charges

We loved the property. Did not appreciate all the hidden fees of $500 making it quite costly, but the stay was nice. House had a ton of kitchen needs for cooking. Location was perfect except for the noisy motorcycles 24 hrs per day due to the rally in town. All in all a great rental.

Short stay

This property is located on the main strip which is super convenient. The house was very nice. The master bedroom and main spare bedroom are very comfortable for adults. The other spare room has one large bed and two bunks all crammed in. For children that is great, but for adults…not as comfortable but worked fine. Overall, it was great and we would definitely use it again.

Mothers Day Getaway

This house was the perfect spot to get our moms away for mothers day and to relax and enjoy their first time to Eureka Springs. We will definitely stay here again and recommend to all our friends.
