A perfect stay!
I specifically wanted a home in Casas Adobes due to the fact that my cousin lives nearby, so this property was a great choice. Indeed it was built in the same year (1960) as her home, so architecturally it was super familiar and wonderful. The high ceilings, fireplace, etc. are indicative of the buildings during that time, and the layout is very welcoming. There is a way to feel connected and yet be cozy and alone. It would be a great choice for a family with children. We only used two of the three bedrooms.
Beautiful to hear some coyote wailing at night. The Buddha sculpture in the garden, the posters, the personal touches were all very much appreciated.
Kitchen had absolutely everything we needed, and then some. All appliances worked well. Easy grocery shopping nearby. Spices galore. Plenty of contributions from previous guests, all safe: can of tuna, noodles, oatmeal, etc. Coffee! Tea!
Hiking in the Catalinas is practically at your doorstep. If you are a lap lane swimmer, Oro Valley Aquatic Center is very close and once you set your online profile, only $5/day for an individual lane!
Great laundry facilities. And, lo and behold, laundry detergent! Not always supplied at rental places. The only odd situation was there was no shampoo, conditioner or body soap. I mentioned that to the manager; it wasn't a problem for us (we had some from a hotel) but odd in that the rest of the house had overstock in every way.
I'd certainly stay here again!
