Private Waterfront Lindale Cabin by Tyler and Horse Park

*NO OTHER CABINS ON PROPERTY* @RestingTurtleCabin is waterfront on a private pond (with kayaks) surrounded by East Texas wooded landscape including high speed internet (WIFI 182 Mbps), equipped kitchen, & washer/dryer. Each stay comes with:
*Firewood for firepit
*Kcup coffee, creamer, syrup, hot chocolate to get you started
*Stocked kitchen ingredients (oils, seasonings)
*Fridge/Freezer has filtered water & ice
*Welcome basket of snacks
*Laundry detergent (2 loads)

We are located in the best of both worlds.....surrounded by farmland, pastures, and wooded landscape, but minutes from restaurants, entertainment, and grocery stores. The cabin sits directly on a private pond that is on our main property of approximately 25 acres. You will enter through the car restricted private entranced gate. As a guest of the Resting Turtle Cabin, you will have access to the cabin, pond and surrounding area of the pond that is marked for your enjoyment.

The space
Enjoy the starry sky at night and drink your morning coffee on the porch while watching wildlife visit the pond, including a wide variety of singing birds, turtles, and deer.

You arrive to a car restricted gated entrance. (No need to worry about what's in the back of your truck or valuables in your car in a hotel parking lot) You travel down our private drive and make your first right. Tucked away is our little serene Resting Turtle Cabin. Our main house is up the driveway, but the cabin is hidden and trees block the view (even in the winter time). We are happy to share our little nature retreat with you.

INSIDE: WIFI is available and dependable, internet enabled TVs are located in every living space, stackable washer & dryer. There is one main bedroom with a queen bed and dedicated office desk for remote work. The upstairs loft with actual staircase (no ladder) has 1 queen bed and 2 twin beds. *ALL NEW MATTRESSES* The kitchen includes electric stove, convection oven microwave, full size refrigerator/freezer that has filtered water & ice. Heating & cooling is provided by a mini split system with two vents (one in the main bedroom and the other in the living area)....it'll keep you cozy warm in the winter and cool in the summer.

OUTSIDE: The cabin is located on the edge of the pond. **please be mindful that young children and non-swimmers should be cautious around the pond.** We currently have 2 adult kayaks and 2 youth kayaks with various sized life jackets for you to use at your own risk and pleasure. There is a picnic table to enjoy family meals outside and a firepit that is perfect for smore memories. We also have a small 14 inch charcoal grill for your use (charcoal is not provided). Don't forget to take a little snooze in the hammock overlooking the pond!

PARKING:
2-3 typical sized cars/suvs/trucks can fit near tiny house. We have additional parking for larger trailers if needed, but our entrance has a sharp turn that is narrow. We've had large trucks deliver furniture before, so it's not impossible to get through. Reach out if you have questions.
Guest access
Guests access the property through a car restricted gate entrance with your own private code to open the gate AND another private code to unlock the digital lock to the cabin. Codes are deleted upon checkout to ensure safety of guests and never reused.

-1 Family + Grandparents (family sleeps in loft and grandparents sleep in main bedroom....keep in mind....there is one bathroom)

-Texas Rose Horse Park attendees (we are 4 miles away!)
-Golfers (Garden Valley Golf Club is less than 5 miles away; Hideaway Lake Clubs is 7 miles away)
-Solo Travelers
-Remote worker who wants to have a change of scenery


Our property is not suited for the following:
-Guests who can't travel without their pets. We have a strict no pet policy that we follow.
-Guests who are needing a space to host a party or reunion get together.
-Guests who want to host an after wedding party
-Guests who are looking for extreme quiet (we are secluded and in a country environment, but farm equipment can cause noise and when the air is thin, you might hear cars from Interstate I-20.
