This home is located in the foothills of Pikes Peak. It's the perfect retreat for a small family or group of friends. It’s ideal for those looking to explore, then return to a cozy home with great views. Visit major attractions like Mueller State Park and 11 Mile Canyon just minutes away!
There are 3 bedrooms and a three-quarter bath; and tons of space outside to sit, relax and let the kids play!
The Space:
The house is set up with everything you'll need to enjoy your stay, including a fully stocked kitchen, and a stocked bathroom.
There are two bedrooms on the main floor, each with a queen bed. There is one bedroom in the basement with a full bed. On the main floor, there is a living room with a TV and small movie collection; there is also a small dining area and kitchen with amazing views of Pikes Peak peeking through the trees. Downstairs, there is another small sitting room and a full sized washer and dryer. The only bathroom is on the main floor and has a walk-in shower, and his and hers sinks. Please note, the therapeutic jetted tub in the bathroom is not available for guest use; it has been disconnected.
There is private parking with a large driveway (enough parking for 2-3 vehicles). There is no garage.
Linens and towels are provided as well as a basic starter kit of household supplies. Feel free to ask exactly what's included in your reservation.
Heat only, no A/C.
Pets are not allowed.
Cell service is great (5G signal is available)! But there is no internet or wifi access at the home.

Guests will have access to the whole house.
The Neighborhood:
This home is located in the serene, mountainous forests of the Pikes Peak region. Please be aware of wildlife in the area, local fire restrictions and please also be aware of the altitude and the affects altitude can have. The house has a large backyard, and plenty of space to stretch out and be outside, but please know you do have neighbors nearby.
Due to the extremely wooded surroundings and the typical dryness of the area, there are absolutely no outdoor fires allowed at this property. Fireworks are always prohibited in Teller County.
Also, please know wildlife is prevalent in this area from spiders and insects to squirrels, deer, bears and mountain lions. Children should be supervised outside at all times, especially during the morning or evening. Trash and food should never be left outside. Bears have also been reported to get into vehicles, so don't leave your windows down in your vehicle.
Getting Around:
You'll want a vehicle to get in and around the area. You will need 4 wheel drive and high clearance during the winter months (please note, snow can occur almost anytime of year, though typically from October-May). There is no public transportation in this area, and ride share services are limited.
Other Things to Note:
TRUST AND SAFETY: The SafelyStay, Inc. Trust and Safety Fee includes up to $10,000 of accidental coverage for contents damage and up to $500,000 coverage for accidental property damage and bodily injury. Complete terms regarding the Trust and Safety coverage can be given upon request. The Trust and Safety Fee is refundable only if the reservation is canceled in writing at least twenty-four (24) hours prior to the arrival date. Any deductible or minimum claim amount will be the responsibility of the Guest, and Out West Vacation Rentals, LLC will process using the form of payment on file for Guest. Coverage excludes stays over 29 nights.
