Although the property was clean, there was a lot we were not expecting when arriving on site. It was clear as soon as we walked in that the rooms had been cheaply strew together.
If there was AC, it was set extremely high. It may not have been working as three table fans had been placed in our room to try and keep things cool. However, the fans stood no chance against the 100 degree day and 80 degree nights. The room was HOT.
The listing also mentioned shampoo would be provided. This was only slightly true. You had to poke around into one of the communal bathrooms to find shampoo. We then carried it with our hands to the person showering since we didn't have anything to transport the soap and the soap was mounted on the wall. We couldn't find any body soap, so had to use hand soap as a fill-in.
Around 8 AM, a fire alarm went off. One of the other girls staying at the property was forced to stand outside in her towel for an extended period of time while waiting on the owner to arrive to turn it off.
This is where I'm probably a little nit-picky, but kind of defines the cheapness of how the place was put together. There was pretty much no decorating done whatsoever. No pictures, just white walls, the bed you sleep in, a mini-fridge, and a bag of Kirkland popcorn.
Finally, I thought VRBO was only a site for individual homes or condos? At least that's how it is advertised. Be prepared to be sharing a kitchen and two couches with seven other occupants.
