When you stay in any of PHX Stays properties you'll always be stocked with the luxury amenities to help you feel right at home! CONCIERGE SERVICES:
We offer a 24/7 On-Demand Concierge Service. Extra fees apply for this service and it includes anything from restaurant reservations, special requests, in-home chef, amenity arrangements, mid-stay cleaning service, and more.

GUEST VERIFICATION:
We use SUPERHOG as part of our guest screening process, and your SUPERHOG application must match the primary guest name on the reservation, and your background check must be completed within 48 hours after you receive your booking confirmation as per State and City law. Your booking is NOT confirmed until these requirements have been fulfilled. Once the reservation is confirmed, and prior to check-in, guests must sign a Rental Agreement outlining the terms of the stay.
Please be advised that all guests will be asked to sign a Rental Agreement that governs the terms of the stay. No bookings will be approved without finishing this process.

SECURITY CAMERAS:
There are surveillance cameras on the exterior front of the property only for security reasons and to ensure guest safety.

By Booking this home, all guests must agree to the following House Rules:

1. Check-in is at 4 pm. Check-out time is any time before 11 am.

2. Occupancy is limited to the number of guests you indicate on your reservation. Any additional guests or visitors must be approved by your host.

3. Parties, events, or excessive noise are not allowed. Please be respectful of our neighbors and observe quiet hours from 10PM-8AM. Violations after our initial warning may result in your removal from the property. We are located in a residential community and, although this is a vacation destination, it's home to many people. As such we ask that you respect their privacy and peaceful environment.

4. We do not allow smoking of any kind anywhere on the premises; including the use of e-cigarettes and marijuana. Breaking this rule will incur a fee and removal from the property without refund.

5. Guests take full responsibility for any accidents, injuries, or illnesses that occur while on the premises or its facilities. By accepting this reservation, it is agreed that all guests are expressly assuming the risk of any harm arising from their use of the premises. Guests recognize that they may personally purchase insurance to protect themselves in such events.

6. Service fees are non-refundable in the event of a cancellation.

Maple-Ash is an enclave of single-family homes in Tempe just south of the bustling Mill Avenue district and west of the ASU Tempe campus. It's Tempe's oldest remaining neighborhood and stretches from University Drive south to Hudson Lane, and from Mill Avenue east to the railroad tracks just past Ash Avenue.

We may be situated on a bustling street, but trust me, it's worth the excitement. You'll love the energy and vibrancy of our location.

We are located in beautiful downtown Tempe, AZ. Minutes from ASU, Gammage Theater, Mill Ave., Tempe Town Lake, Phoenix sports arenas, local shopping, dining, and more!

Tempe is synonymous with two things — Arizona State University and Mill Avenue. Both are just a quaint stroll away from Maple-Ash. Whether the university is the destination, or a night of dining and/or dancing on Mill Avenue, there's no need to drive a car to enjoy the area. Just about everything can be enjoyed on foot or with a bicycle. And beyond the neighborhood, Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport is only a few-minutes’ drive away, while Phoenix and the cities of the East Valley are accessible in just 15 or so minutes via one of the Valley’s freeways.

By booking our home you are agreeing to our house rules.

The garage is free for guests to use for cars or to place personal belongings. Please note, the garage was built over 80 years ago and is small by modern standards. Some medium sized cars and larger SUVs/Trucks will not be able to fit through the doors. There is driveway parking as well.


The Butler House is hosted by PHX Stays, a boutique and niche vacation rental agency.

The Butler Gray House is a 3 Bedroom, 2.5 bath home, newly remodeled w/1940's vibes in the energetic Maple-Ash neighborhood. As you step through the front door, you'll be instantly transported to an era where sports legends were born and celebrated. Phoenix sky harbor airport is only 4 miles away. The light rail can take you to/from the airport to the Mill Ave stop which is less than a mile away (might be a bit far if carrying luggage). The light rail can also take you to/from downtown Phoenix and downtown Mesa..

Uber/Lyft:
About $12-$20 to/from the airport.

Electric Scooters/Bikes: There are scooter “nest” locations down the street just a few hundred feet away.

Walking: ASU, Mill Ave Restaurants/Bars, Tempe Town Lake, Gammage Auditorium, ASU Art Museum, Whole Foods, CVS, Core Power Yoga, and many other locations are just a 5-10 minute walk away.

Love this property
Family of four coming to visit ASU as potential destination in the fall. The house was a stone’s throw from the campus so we could explore the University as well as use it as a home base for exploring Phoenix area. We came home in the evenings to prepare food, eat dinner and watch tv together comfortably. The house has such a great feel and is impeccably updated for today’s needs. Loved all the bathrooms so no one was waiting ever for a shower or toilet, did a little laundry and felt as though we were at home. If our child goes to ASU, we know where we will be staying on our visits. Oh, and great communication throughout our stay with management. Thank you!

Lovely stay so close to Gammage/ASU
We stayed with friends (three couples total) to see our daughter performing at the Gammage. PERFECT location. Easy walk to great restaurants and hiking trails. The house was very clean and well equipped. Comfortable beds! We did not notice the street noise. With 6 adults we would have liked a couple more comfortable seats in the living room. We pulled a few chairs from the kitchen table but those were not comfortable for long periods. Overall it was fabulous and would definitely stay again!

Great place to stay!
I was in town with several friends for a local run and this property was excellent! It was walkable to everything we needed, including the start line, and was adorable. We will definitely be staying here again if we are in the area.

Great Butler House
This house was amazing. Had the feel of an older home- but all the modern day conveniences. Clean, bright and cheery. We could walk to all the restaurants and even to the stadium. Would stay here again for sure!
