Horn HideAway: wooded cottage, lake access

Up North in the autumn is the best! Fall colors, campfires, s’mores, sweater weather and fishing at the private lake are in your future! Horn HideAway is perfect for Snowmobilers- ride to Gaylord trails right from this property! Girl Getaways- relax and use our kayak and paddle boards! Fishermen- ice fishing is around the block! Families- there’s a nice sandy beach with tether ball around the block and a playground, too!

Horn HideAway is a peaceful retreat just outside of Gaylord, Mi.
The space
The Horn HideAway features 2 bedrooms and a loft space. Just to note, the loft space is not for the faint of heart or young kids. There is a build-in ladder, very stable I might add, that must be climbed to reach the loft. This large loft accommodates a queen and double bed with a dedicated workspace, including an extra monitor. We affectionately call this the “Bird’s Nest”.

The kitchen has been completely updated within the last year and includes a new stove, refrigerator and dishwasher. A bar extends from the wall in the kitchen and accommodates 2 bar stools adjacent to the dining room table. Small kitchen appliances include coffee pot, crockpot, waffle maker, electric knife, electric mixer and griddle.

There is a fire pit outdoors and several outdoor seating options. Some new marshmallow roasters are in the kitchen. If you need help with starting the fire, I keep some fire starter logs indoors.

TV works and cell service is good. StarLink internet is hooked up!
