This luxury chalet is located in Baarland, a small quiet village in the Zeeland municipality of Borsele. Despite that tranquility, there is still so much to see and experience. There is also plenty to do in the surrounding villages; those who like peace and quiet can indulge themselves. The larger tourist cities of Goes and Middelburg are easily accessible. The Scheldoord family campsite on the edge of the village attracts many people to the region every year. After all, you are right on the water here. The Western Scheldt lies just over the dike at Baarland. Despite the fact that Zeeland is a tourist attraction, this chalet is located on the quiet side of Zeeland.
It is a short walk from the chalet and you are already on the seawall. Behind it lies the beautiful Westerschelde and the Scheldestrandje, a small but nice family beach! Only when you are on the seawall itself, you see all the beauty that lies behind it! Enjoy the space around you and the beautiful view over the water. It is quiet and always uncluttered, even in high season. At the same time, there is a lot to do on the dike, on the beach and on the Westerschelde and it is a wonderful place full of (holiday) fun! This makes it a great playground for the children, where they can play in the sand and mud. You can fly a kite, catch crabs, fish, walk mudflats, kite surf, walk and cycle outside the dikes. Of course you can also simply enjoy the beautiful view over the water and the large sea-going vessels that pass by!
At this beautiful location on the dike you are mainly surrounded by spacious green polders, you can enjoy beautiful views and you literally have all the space around you! This area is located on the former island of South Beveland, entirely located in the municipality of Borsele. A National Landscape that is one of the oldest polder landscapes in the Netherlands, where centuries of struggle against the water has resulted in a varied and unique landscape full of winding dikes, dozens of orchards full of blossom or fruit, beautiful nature, old farms and small friendly villages. It is an environment that mainly exudes authenticity and tranquility. Since there are countless cycling and walking routes through the picturesque villages, past historic farms and over the beautiful dikes, it is best explored by bicycle or on foot.
- You can use all facilities of the Scheldeoord campsite, for example indoor and outdoor swimming pools, the fully organized children's entertainment program, the supermarket, the restaurant, etc.
