COTTAGE acolhedor de 4 estações - esqui, nadar, caminhar, folhagem, diversão em família ou refúgio romântico

Um aconchegante Vermont mountain cottage uma milha para pitoresca Belmont Village e Star Lake, e 6 milhas para Okemo Ski Resort e Ludlow. Um local privado, com um deck com vista Star Lake, prados e vistas de montanha (com uma vista 75 milhas!).

Dorme 2-6 ...... 2 para uma escapadela romântica, ou até 6 para a família e amigos:
2 quartos [Rainha; Duplo; e Rainha sofá-cama na sala], 2 banheiros, sala com fogão a lenha, chamadas gratuitas de longa distância dentro dos EUA e Canadá, de alta velocidade, cableTV com DVR, DVD player; sala de jantar; cozinha totalmente equipada, incluindo máquina de lavar louça, micro-ondas; lavanderia com lavadora / secadora. A bela montanha get-away, mas perto de esqui e outras atividades.

Estamos no coração das Montanhas Verdes entre Killington e Stratton / Bromley. Temos belo (espetacular !!) vista para o oeste e noroeste (grandes pores do sol). Nossa casa fica em uma colina rodeada por maples senhoriais e pastos abertos. Ele fica a 2100 pés acima do nível do mar e tem vista para um lago com vista 75 milhas através das montanhas de Vermont e em New York State (vemos a montanha mais alta em NY). Estamos a uma milha a partir de Star Lake, que tem um acesso à praia e barco. A casa está rodeada por 180 acres da nossa terra, e mais centenas de acres de amigos, familiares e do Estado de Vermont. Nós temos nossa própria rede trilha para caminhadas, caminhadas na neve e esqui xc, e há muitas outras caminhadas por toda a cidade e região. Na nossa terra na rua em frente a casa há quatro lagoas castor que cordas ao longo de um riacho que corre para Star Lake.

Quiet and Beautiful

A wonderful place to get away and relax. The deck faces west with a view of the Adirondack Mountains in NY. Sunsets are magnificent. Hardly any traffic noise except for an occasional car driving past on the road, which is barely noticeable as the cottage has significant setback. Ron was helpful and friendly, but not obtrusive. If you are looking for a great place to kick back and relax in a beautiful quiet setting within easy driving distance of Ludlow, this is the place! Hated to go home!

Astounding View

The cottage was so nice with beautiful foliage surrounding it. Very spacious downstairs living area. Everything worked in the house. My only concern was the slightly steep staircase. Our dogs loved the open space to run around in. It was a perfect location for peacefulness and privacy. Loved it!

gorgeous location

The property is cozy and functional with amazing views and location, friendly and responsive owners and nice trails nearby. Easy drive to Ludlow for groceries and restaurants and lots of outdoor activities and towns to visit. Highly recommended.

Perfection!

This cottage was absolutely perfect! Our family of 5 stayed for a long weekend of snow boarding. Location is so close to Okemo. The wood stove was the best part of warming up after a cold day on the slopes. The cottage has everything you could need.

Incredible views at cozy cottage

This cottage is exactly as pictured and described. Simple, private, cozy and well equipped. It’s immaculately clean and very comfortable. The host and owner lives so close by he dropped off kindling when we ran out on a snowy night. Can’t beat the location to get to ski trails, Manchester, Ludlow and the Long Trail.

Wonderful spot for writing retreat

A friend and I stayed at this lovely and comfortable cottage to work on writing projects. It was a great setup, with a a bedroom for each of us upstairs and a big, sturdy kitchen table plus two couch and coffee table setups downstairs, so there was plenty of room to space out (both literally and figuratively!) and work. There were lots of outlets for plugging in laptops and charging iPads, and the wifi and cell signals were strong. With windows on all sides, the house is flooded with light, even on gray days, and we found the long views and very private setting inspirational. The house was super clean and the furnishings sturdy. The hosts were very accessible but also unobtrusive. Best of all, we were both very productive! We plan to return.

Wonderful cottage in Southern Vermont!

The cottage was ideally situated in Southern Vermont with close access to skiing, hiking, and the Appalachian Trail. The cottage has a rustic feel, but has all the amenities you want including fast internet, and dishwasher. Even though there are some homes within walking distance, we did not see anyone else, and the cottage feels secluded. Great for a family or friends. Highly recommend!

Fall Break

The rental process was super easy. Ron is an amazing caretaker of this delightful cottage that is located on a beautiful hill side overlooking Star Lake in the distance with panoramic views of mountains. The property is also accessible to many walking trails that are well marked. The cottage was clean, comfortable and well equipped. Ron was very accessible and gave us great information about the area. We highly recommend and plan on returning in the future.

Awesome Place!

The cottage was perfect for our vacation, and the location was breathtaking for our autumn visit. The cottage was clean, comfortable, and inviting. I was able to take my dog, which was a big plus for me. We enjoyed sitting on the deck taking in the view of the mountains, and there is much to explore in the area. Ron and Dottie are excellent hosts; Ron was very good at communicating with me both at the time of booking and as the date for our trip approached. All in all this was a great vacation in a great place, and I expect to return in the future!

Relaxing Vermont Getaway

This cottage is on a beautiful hillside setting in Belmont, VT. It was easy to find, plenty spacious for two people, and the views are great. A very peaceful spot. The house was spotless and well stocked ( the non-stick skillet is scratched, but we brought our own). It is an older property, and the house and artwork are "well worn", but we truly enjoyed our stay. If you don't want a really firm mattress bring a foam topper. We were there in the fall and the trails behind the house were a bit tricky for hiking, but would be fine for snowshoes. Several hiking spots were within a 10 to 20 minute drive, and downtown Ludlow is charming. We would consider returning for another vacation in the future.

Lovely cottage in great location

We enjoyed our three night stay in Belmont, VT. Cottage was clean and comfortable with beautiful views. It was a very quick ride to Ludlow for everything you need and gorgeous scenery for riding motorcycles!

very nice cottage, near to many attractions and to Echo Lake. Only issue was the stairs to the bedrooms were more of a ladder--not for the faint hearted! Our host was available and helpful.

Relaxing Cottage

The cottage in Belmont was exactly what we were looking for. We enjoyed incredible views from the back porch and stunning sunsets every night. The atmosphere of the cottage made us feel right at home immediately, and I would absolutely recommend any of my friends or family to stay there. Ron was very communicative, friendly, and accommodating throughout our entire visit. I would love to stay there again the next time we visit Vermont. Thank you again, Ron, for an incredible trip with great memories.

Perfect weekend in Belmont/Mount Holly

The property was exactly as advertised, clean, well appointed with all the essentials in the kitchen if you choose to cook. Convenient to Ludlow but far enough away to get away from the hustle of downtown. We hiked the property on the trails that the owner Ron maintains, which was a great warm up for a and our four legged companion before we hiked the Healdville Trail up Okemo Mountain. On Ron’s property there was a mix meadows with wild flowers as far as you could see and more steep land behind the house with snow shoe trails that are a little steeper. Ron greeted us when we arrived and we talked for a while about the craziness of Covid and how it is great to have the world returning to something close to normal. I highly recommend this property and we will be booking additional stays in the future!

Excellent!

We really enjoyed staying at Ron and Dottie's. The house had a warm, cozy feel. It had more than enough for our 5 day stay. We felt at home and did not want to leave. We enjoyed using the porch and watching the sunset. Ron and Dottie shared some of their favorite spots with us and all their recommendations were excellent. They were easy to communicate with. We most definitely enjoyed our time at the cabin, such a convenient location to Okemo mountain, a fabulous yard for our kids to sled and run around, and the owners could not be more wonderful! We will definitely be coming back!

Phenomenal Ski Vacation

Perfect ski cottage for group of up to 6 people. Ron was an awesome host, giving us great suggestions for food and activities. The “downtown” of Belmont is beautiful, quaint little town...we especially loved the New Year’s Eve fireworks over the lake and the takeout pizza from the general store. Super convenient location, 10 minutes from Okemo but away from Ludlow so we avoided the post-ski traffic into town. Would wholeheartedly recommend, just don’t take the house when we want to rent it again!

Por que motivo escolheu este alojamento?

Ron's family began coming to Belmont for summers in 1956 and his parents moved here full-time from New York City in 1970. As a teenager Ron worked on a local farm and the family came up to Belmont for every vacation, all year 'round. Ron and Dottie moved here full-time in 2001 and enjoy all of Vermont's seasons -- You will too :)

Quais são os elementos especiais deste alojamento?

We are in the heart of the Green Mountains between Killington and Stratton/Bromley, and minutes to Okemo. We have beautiful (spectacular!!) views off to the west and northwest (great sunsets). Our cottage sits on a hill surrounded by stately maples and open pastures. It sits at 2100 feet above sea level and overlooks a lake with a 75 mile view across the mountains of Vermont and into New York State (we see the highest mountain in NY). We are one mile from Star Lake which has a beach and boat access. The cottage is very private being surrounded by 100 acres of our land, and hundreds more acres of friends, family and the State of Vermont. We have our own trail network for hiking, snowshoeing and xc skiing, and there's lots of other hiking all around the town and local area. On our land across the road from the cottage there are four beaver ponds that string along a brook that runs into Star Lake.

..... and we have a moose that visits every now and then [EMAIL us for this picture and many others].

Although private, this house is in the heart of the Vermont ski and tourist area so there are lots of restaurants, shops, and activities within 5 to 10 miles (Mt. Holly, Ludlow, Weston, etc.)
