Renters Beware!!!

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was very unhappy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My family and I stayed in there(Hogan) Cottage for a long weekend June 2023. My children shared one of two bedrooms in the cottage. The first night my husband and I discovered a large Palmetto bug crawling from under one of the beds. The second night after all was quiet I hear my children screaming. As my husband and I run in to their room we find roaches on the walls and coming out of the crawl space above one of the beds. I don’t mean one or two roaches, I mean multiple roaches.was infested with roaches and Palmetto bugs. Tried to have my children sleep up in the loft just to discover there were roaches crawling across the carpet up in the loft. Reached out to the property management company who in turn reached out to the home owner and we were told exterminators could not come out until Monday. My kids spent the remainder of the weekend in the same room with my husband and I as it appeared this was the only bedroom we didn’t find insects. We discovered that the crawl space in the first bedroom was not sealed so it gave access to any type of insect that wanted to make its home in the house. We found roaches in the kitchen cabinets (we took pictures). Sent my complaint to the property management with pictures They consulted with the owner and they would not even refund us for refund my family one night for the terrible inconvenience when they should have given my family a full refund! I will never stay with this establishment again as it has been made very clear they contract with those that do not value their customers and do not up keep their properties in the way they have a moral and business responsibility to do.

Poor service

Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The washing machine was broken and after repeated attempts to contact the office it was not fixed. We even had to drive by and stop physically at the office and was told later that they were missing a part. The nails were coming up from the deck and my daughter sliced her foot open. They were cockroaches and insects all over the inside of the building. We had to leave a day early because we ran out of clothes. I texted you guys about it and you never reached back out. We’re expecting a full nights refund. The house was nice but built in a swamp . Also the workers building the house next-door started promptly at 7:30 in the morning and woke us up every day.

Didn’t want to leave!

Our family loved this cottage! Very fresh, clean, and nicely decorated. It was great having two bathrooms and a separate area (the loft) for our teen. Convenient location close to the Wright Memorial Bridge. We would love to stay again!

Very clean

Great Place

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Was looking for a long weekend stay for guys to go tuna fishing. It was a lovely place and very comfortable for 10 adults. Quality of furniture, appliance etc was good. However there were no towel racks in the bathroom. The problem with the loft is that it had no fan and windows had no shades/blinds which made for early morning summer light as well as having to lower the temperatures downstairs enough to cool the upstairs and freeze the folks downstairs. These can easily fixed and would highly recommend.
