Reviewer Comments:
Approximately 35 members of my extended Louisville family vacation together in June for 20+ yrs. The last 10 + yrs. we (my wife and guests) have stayed in 4A and herein lies my complaint. For $2000.00 a week I would expect furniture/appliances at least as nice as the furnishings in my own home. Too much to expect? 4A still maintains a keyed entry into the condo. The majority have a number pad. But it sets the tone for the rest of the “tour”. The LR furniture, transferred from 5A to 4A (same owners) several years ago, including the kitchen table, a pull out couch with a mattress as thick as hammock, a love seat, furniture the quality of a Goodwill showroom, wore out and threadbare. The side chair is an afterthought. The TV on a cabinet, works well but if mounted with a $12.00 bracket would save room in the cramped LR. The stove is what you would expect in a rental apartment in a college town. The washer & dryer fine. Fridge adequate. The master bedroom mattress is broken down, head board hanging on by a thread. Dresser drawers practically fall out when opened. A second flat panel TV sits on the dresser in front of the mirror. Again, the TV mounted with a $12.00 bracket and removing the mirror would be nice. Please add a curtain on the single window over the blind so the sunlight doesn’t stream in every morning like a Hollywood spotlight. The bathroom mirror is the nicest thing in the bathroom. The vanity is the same quality as your 1976 local Econo Lodge. Same for the hallway bath. The second bedroom has a large tube tv sitting in the corner on a cabinet. Same window issue. Several of the wall plugs are wore out and will not hold a plug. I want to simply ask the owners, who I'm sure are nice people, to put some value into 4A so you feel like you’re getting what you’re paying for. For future visitors, who rent 4A, don’t expect much in amenities for the money you will spend. As for next year, we have declined 4A and have reserved another condo at the Sandpiper.<
