Customer Service Should Be # 1 Priority
I rented property for 3 weeks, not 3 days; it allowed dogs. I thought that the cleaning fee I paid would allow for at least some type of weekly cleaning. The face, hand & beach towels, were soiled and dingy; reported this to PM. Purchased a broom, dust pan & scrubber for bathrooms; none provided. The bathroom downstairs, toilet seat was smaller than the base. PM V. Lopez told me that my guests and I should go upstairs to use the bathroom. Thank goodness my 80 year old mom was not with us. The washing machine, you need long arms because it barely opens 6 inches. The cover for the hot tub was in shreds. There is a piece of iron curved in the kitchen window as security. The upholstery was soiled. I even asked him at one point if he was on the island, so I could invite him to visit the property. He did not respond but towards the end, implied that he was. I did not care to see him at that point. I left some items at the property and realized a few days later. He got the staff to bring it to me. A week later, I was in the same community at another facility and was expecting mail. I knocked on the door with the new renters. They revealed to me that I left an entire drawer of clothing in the rental, and were gracious enough to give it to me. I tried telling him that staff may need to be a little more thorough in preparing the facility. PM not customer service oriented. As a customer and Travel Agent, the experience with very 1st VRBO rental was not good!
