Lovely beach house with a few issues
Our family of 7 ( parents with young adult kids) had an overall wonderful stay. We really loved the location, the comfy sofa with room for everyone, the small but well stocked kitchen and all the wonderful seating available in the outdoor spaces. Check in and out was a breeze because they use a coded lock and upload the code to a portal at check in time.
However, there were a few issues that anyone considering renting should know. First, this house has plumbing issues. They have signs in every bathroom warning you not to flush anything other than tp which of course we adhered to but still there was a sewage odor . We first noticed it in on night 4. We were out all day and walked into the horrific smell. No clog, no obvious problem—just the smell coming from the only bathroom downstairs. We decided not to use that bathroom but the smell seemed to just come and go. Not exactly how you want to spend a vacation. Other considerations—sheets in 3 beds were sandy, stains on bed sheets, grill is rusty (used foil and not a big deal), and the pool was so hot we couldn’t use it much. Not sure if they were accidentally heating it or it was just the hot sun but we have cool pools even in the Texas sun where we’re from so that was weird.
Another thing to consider is the triple bunk. they are full size beds but honestly not for big kids or adults. The bottom and middle are really close together so you have to kind of slither in.
Overall—cute, nice location but needs some help
