Beautiful Weekend Getaway
We spent a long weekend with our 3 young kids, and another couple who has an infant. Overall we loved the house. It was very cozy, the kitchen was very well equipped with everything we needed, we could see and hear the ocean, and it was a short walk to the beach. The master was spacious and beautiful! We especially loved the large dining table and the gas fireplace right next to it. A couple things to note for future guests: the water heater is very small. We couldn’t fill the bath tub all the way for the kids before the water turned cold, so even though there are two bathrooms, showers will need to be spaced out. The fold out couch downstairs is a very comfortable memory foam mattress which was a wonderful surprise, however the two mattresses in the main bedrooms were very, very firm, which could be a positive or negative depending on your preference. And lastly, the listing says there’s a twin bed with a trundle and a travel crib. This made for some confusion when we showed up thinking there was a third bedroom with a trundle bed that wasn’t pictured, but we were able to make it work. Lastly, the seal on the front door isn’t tight, so when the wind picks up it sounds like someone is using a leaf blower right outside. We often had to keep the door open or cracked to reduce the noise. Overall, a wonderful stay and nothing that would prevent us from coming back! But some of that info would have been helpful to have ahead of time, so I want to provide that to others.
